Gov. Kristi Noem (R-S.D.) is demanding answers after her Social Security Number was leaked by the federal government in a document related to the House Select Committee’s investigation of the Jan. 6 protests.
In a letter addressed to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Noem’s lawyers condemned the security breach, asking to know how the agencies plan to combat the high-risk issue.
“Gov. Noem and her family are now at very high risk of identity theft and being personally compromised due to the failure to redact the social security numbers and make the same available to the public,” the letter reads.

The fact that the SS numbers of a thousand MAGA Republicans were "accidentally" released by the J6 Committee and ZERO Democrats were likewise released tells me this was no accident, but totally intentional.
There should be severe payback. (I didn't know the gun was loaded when I shot you)

Chances are slim to none that the wimpy congressional Republicans are going to do anything substantial, except talk or write a letter, about those leftist Democrat political “dirty tricks”.

It seems to me that one important element was left out of the Noem request; which was: Who is getting FIRED? Over this.

And again, criminals in the bureaucracy have done INTENTIONAL, PLANNED harm to a Republican by doing criminal acts.
And you can bet that nothing at all will be done, just like the FBI and CIA crimes against Trump and Lois Lerner's criminal IRS acts - unpunished.
Dems doing criminal acts against Republicans - NOTHING is done, so they continue. These people should be imprisoned for many years.

What amazes me are the people who will still support the Dems after the Dems did this. It was no accident. The Dems purposely did this. But then the media will cover it up!

An action done out of spite by the 1/6 committee. They know what they are doing is being shut down. At least, I hope the Republicans shut this monstrosity down.
Sadly, I think all our personal information has been stolen. Too many data breaches. The only thing saving most of us from a ton of grief is the thieves do not really need the information of billions of people to conduct business.

The demosluts started with their domestic terrorist crap years ago, then proceed to do things that will create domestic terrorism based solely on the actions of demosluts in federal agencies. Then they will justify more freedom killing actions because of domestic terrorism threats which will occur only because of demoslut actions. A self-fulfilling prophecy which only ends with a civil war, the destruction of the demoslut party, or the destruction of the country.

Stop calling them "swamp" creatures. They are all DC "sewer" creatures!!!!! Swamps are important and vital parts of the world's ecology. Sewers are nasty, dirty, smelly, vile places for human waste. That sounds like about 80% of the current Congress (including 100% of all Demon-Rats)!!!!
The only way this is going to stop is if these sewer-dwelling Demon-Rats and RINO's are to bankrupt them!!!! Class action lawsuit, with a payment of $1,000,000,000 for each person whose SSN was leaked. And the J6 Committee members also have to pay all of the lawyer's fees!!!!!

This is how this will go down. It will be investigated by some alphabet agency where they will conclude that the release was "accidental", therefore, no crime was committed. Ala Hillary Clinton.....she didn't mean to have classified materials on her private illegal server, and she didn't mean to conduct official business on her private email system. And they are all so very very sorry. Nothing will be done, sux to be you. Well...at least until a Republican does it. Whereupon the FBI swat team will show up at the door at 6AM with a CNN crew in tow, to haul you out of bed naked and dragged to a waiting van.
Like I said before, accidentally on purpose.

this is a classic intimidation tactic, deployed by your more crude and unscrupulous lawyers; to wit:

The cmte did NOT do this JUST to be mean. They did it to SIDELINE those people. Those people are now subject to fraud and identity theft. That takes a lot of TIME, MONEY and ENERGY to reverse. It will take years for those people to regain their secure identity if ever. What do you wanna bet I'm right?

First, each Democrat on the J6 Committee will hide behind their congregation immunity for actions taken during the course of their work in Congress. Then, the usual cop out ,: blame a "low level staff" who prematurely released the information without authentication. Of course, that person will have since left employment and will remain nameless.

Unfortunately, it will likely end up like the Supreme Court decision leak that was so vigorously investigated. But since the Dems always play guilty until proven innocent and it's always about the seriousness of the charge, Noem should go scorched earth on the entire J6 committee and throw some names out there that "sources" indicate may be the leaker. Stir the pot and see if any shade gets thrown at the no longer useful Cheney or Kinzinger.

Been hit with identity theft multiple times. Once your private info is on the internet, it can be bought, sold, and traded. Caused more than one sleepless night. She has every right to be furious. That being said, I agree with the posters than predict a lukewarm apology, followed by a free year of credit monitoring, with no one being held accountable.
