San Francisco considers repealing law

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors could soon repeal all or parts of a law that prohibited city-funded travel and contracting with 30 conservative states that passed laws to restrict LGBTQ rights, abortion access and voting rights. The 2016 ordinance, Chapter 12X, was initially passed in the wake of the Obergefell v. Hodges decision to include states that passed anti-LGBTQ legislation, but was amended twice in 2019 and 2021 to add additional states who passed restrictive abortion and voting rights legislation. The move was largely seen as a boycott to pressure other states and prevent the city from engaging in business with those whose values

That's it, #1. They found out no one cared. The world could carry on without San Francisco. Instead, they found out that their policy increased their own costs for goods and services. Ouch! Empty posturing and virtue signaling had a cost! Go figure. If only in every instance their foolishness only hurt themselves.

They should keep the law in place. What happens in San Francisco should stay there to cutdown on the infection being transmitted to other areas..

Completely the opposite, #8. Democrats have made it possible to vote if you are dead, blind, stupid, have no permanent address, don't know what day it is, don't know who is running, not an American citizen and can vote as many times as you like for the "D" candidates. Next step, the democrats will just submit the voting rolls to the computer and produce a vote in your name whether you know it or not.

Vivek Ramaswamy, the millionaire entrepreneur and author of Woke, Inc., told National Review on Monday that he is “strongly considering” a run for president and expects to make a decision “very soon.” Ramaswamy said he’s been drawn to the idea of running to address a “national identity crisis” that has left Americans hungry for purpose, meaning, and identity. “We are at a point in our national history when the things that used to fill that void — faith, patriotism, hard work, even family — have disappeared,” he said, adding that in its absence, “wokeism, climate-ism as an ideology, radical gender ideology, Covidism” have become secular religions that fill

Washington — In its first case about the federal law that is credited with helping create the modern internet, the Supreme Court seemed unlikely Tuesday to side with a family wanting to hold Google liable for the death of their daughter in a terrorist attack. In two and a half hours of arguments, the justices seemed concerned about upending the internet in their interpretation of a 1996 law, Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, that shields Google, Twitter, Facebook and other companies from lawsuits over content posted on their sites by others. Multiple indictments were recommended by a special grand jury investigating alleged 2020 presidential election interference by Donald Trump in Georgia, the jury’s forewoman revealed in a Tuesday interview. “It is not a short list,” Emily Kohrs, the forewoman of the jury, said as far as the indictment recommendations, but she would not reveal any specific names to the New York Times in an interview. The big question is whether former President Donald Trump would face an indictment, and Kohrs’s words likely won’t inspire a ton of confidence in the Republican’s supporters. “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science,”

The statement by the nonprofit’s board of directors was released Monday after O’Keefe recorded a video from his Project Veritas office announcing that he had been indefinitely suspended from his role as CEO and removed from the board. O’Keefe, a guerilla filmmaker, launched Project Veritas over a decade ago and used under cover reporters and hidden cameras to expose left-wing politicians and institutions.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he is suspending his country's participation in the New START nuclear arms reduction treaty with the United States, imperiling the last remaining pact that regulates the world's two largest nuclear arsenals. Putin made the declaration in his much-delayed annual state of the nation address to Russia's National Assembly on Tuesday. The treaty puts limits on the number of deployed intercontinental-range nuclear weapons that both the US and Russia can have. It was last extended in early 2021 for five years, meaning the two sides would soon need to begin negotiating on another arms control agreement.

We were told there were 14,000 hours of surveillance video, but now it appears there are roughly 41,000 hours of tape. Tucker has long questioned whether J6 was an actual insurrection. The FBI stated in August 2021 they found little evidence that the crowd tried to topple the United States. A Harvard University survey released in August 2022 said the same thing. President Biden’s visit to Kyiv matters just as much as any of these. Other heads of government preceded him, earning deserved credit. But it is an altogether different thing when the president of the United States—who is, indeed, the leader of the Free World—shows up. His words mattered.
