The political branding and campaign team behind Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have structured a “Win with Ron 2024” strategy constructed around the politicization of the COVID-19 vaccine. Yesterday, the team launched the effort through the governor’s office [Details Here].
The polarizing federal vaccine and mask mandates continue to create an opportunity for exploitation by political interests. The WWR ’24 team see the opportunity within the republican base for Ron DeSantis to create a 2024 lane by presenting himself in alignment with medical autonomy in a similar vein that a candidate might create with strong support for the second amendment.

OP, I wouldn’t describe Sundance’s reporting on DeSantis as cynical. My adjectives for his reporting are paranoid and incoherent. Are we to condemn DeSantis for launching an effort to hold the vaccine makers and the federal government that pushed vaccination to account?
If performing a public good is suspect and must be avoided so that the politician responsible doesn’t reap political benefit then nothing good will be done. I know it is hard on Trump supporters that as a private citizen he cannot do the work that DeSantis, or any other elected official, can do. Tough. That’s life. 2024 is just around the corner.

Off the rails...I honestly don't care why DeSantis is pursuing the criminality behind the mRNA vaccine mandates...it is about time someone with actual POWER takes on these people. More power to him!

I agree with posters # 3 & 5. And WHY does nearly everyone assume that the governor is intent on running for president in 2024? If he has any good sense and loyalty to those who just re-elected him he will steer clear of that fandango.

Well, #6. All the money is starting to lineup behind Ronnie Boy. They are still trying to knock The Donald out of the box. Now, why is that?? Ronnie will have to run because of the money behind him.

Everybody seems to be stunting these days. Why can't we have more than one Trump or more than one DeSantis? I'll take at least one in every county.

Don't agree with your conclusion, # 7. No one HAS to run for any office. And "Ronnie Boy", as you derisively call him, is a helluva good governor who takes on the tough issues. He is nobody's stooge.

DeSantis promoted the vaccines for the same reason almost everybody did based on promises from Big Pharma that they would prevent Covid. Since then they’ve not only proved to be useless, we have young, healthy athletes dropping like flies while Big Pharma and Fauci walk away with pockets full of cash. I don’t care why DeSantis is doing this. It’s high time someone did.

I give great respect and deference to anything that Sundance writes, but when it comes to DeSantis he sounds a lot like never-Trumpers talking about Trump. We’re never going to get to the truth about the vaccines unless government leaders push it and so far he’s the one taking the lead on it. More power to him. I don’t see anyone holding the dangers of the vaccines against Trump. He was trying his hardest to mitigate an impossible situation. It’s those making money off of them who need to be exposed and held accountable. That’s something Sundance would normally push for but, for some reason, can’t because DeSantis is the one doing it.

The hate and stupidity coming from the “right” towards DeSantis is beyond infuriating. The nation has become too g-damned stupid to govern itself. Congrats, loonies, you (and your buddies on the left) have won. Enjoy.

Anyone with millions of dollars from the Uniparty backing them, will do and say anything they are told. DS was pushing the vaccine and lockdowns just like everyone else (including DJT). His handlers read the tea leaves early when more info came out, and many of us in Florida are grateful. But I did not hear a peep from DS when Mara-Lago was raided unlawfully which was certainly a tell of his grander intentions. I would trust Trump all day long over him. It looks like the plans to split the party are well on their way.

It seems Sundance’s main beef with DeSantis is if he is backed by RINOs he must be a RINO. Maybe so, but DeSantis is willing to engage on the culture war, which is crucial, and DeSantis may be the best we can do/hope for. We are still two years out, so anything can happen, but WRT Trump, IMO the deep state/media/Uniparty has won, they have destroyed Trump’s political viability, and they haven’t even indicted him yet. It sucks, but at some point we have to accept where we are and the best way forward. Is it DeSantis? I don’t know, but it looks like it right now. And the whole discussion may be moot, as it assumes an election honest enough to allow a Democrat loss.

Lots of pissing in the wind here. Sundance has properly analyzed the 4th branch of government - the Intelligence Branch - and accurately concluded that they truely are a 4th, unelected, unaccountable branch of government that is superior to all other branches. The evidence is overwhelming. Thanks to 9/11 and our Congress and President Bush, the Patriot Act created the foundation that Obama used to weaponize the Intelligence Branch to use against us.
As to DeSantis, does it really matter. In 2007, no one knew who Barrak Hussain Obama was. On Tuesday, November 5th, everyone knew who he was. Does everyone think they don't have another Manchurian in the wings? Please!
Watch what happens after New Years. A book, local interviews, the Alphabet media, fawning stories of hardship and perserverance, then an announcement. At this point I don't know who that is, but he or she is coming.

For the record, DeSantis has spoken out about the Mara Lago raid. One example that a quick internet search provided:
Stumping for Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, DeSantis accused the department of having gone “totally off the rails” with its raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.
“These agencies have now been weaponized to be used against people that the government doesn’t like,” DeSantis said. “And you look at the raid at Mar-a-Lago.”...
“Meanwhile, when you have a law that protects Supreme Court justices is the FBI out there protecting our conservative justices?” he continued. “No.”

I am a great admirer of the Trump presidency and support many of his policies. The midterms were a big disappointment, not all Trump's fault like his detractors want to paint it as. However, his very early announcement for 2024 and his stunts like the huge digital trading card announcement yesterday are head scratchers. Trump fatigue is real and its growing. Sundance is not helping.

Thanks for posting, OP. At this point, it’s all information. People can make up their own minds. The usual suspects have great disdain for TCT and Sundance, yet post—and put great faith in—fawning articles from the left and the GOPe. They are like ants at the picnic, annoying and determined to ruin your day. To each his own, I guess. I remain cautious about anyone that these types of people push relentlessly. You keep on posting these articles. Nobody has a beat on the cesspool of the Uniparty like Sundance. Nobody. I guess that’s why they clutch their pearls so tightly.

RD was pushing for the vaccine like everyone else. Anything that's going on to get him to run and to have Fox News behind him is all orchestrated by Ryan & Romney Inc.

Poster #3...I celebrate your right as an American to express your opinion...but ...here's all the political sports in the game's problem...how they "handle" WE MAGA supporters is crucial...WE will not desert President Trump...and nothing the desantis cabal can say will change our mind...if President Trump wants to run...then he has our vote....

It's refreshing to see a politician bring the harm caused by the mRNA vaccines into the fore. Most are too PC and scared to touch the issue; so, treating this like it's a political stunt sounds more like the talking points you will hear from the Big Pharma, MSM, Obiden alliance.

Wifey and I live in Florida, as does Sundance. We have never seen a more effective governor, as well as one that protects conservative interests as much as Desantis.
I've trusted Sundance's reporting for years and will continue to do so, but I'm wondering if he has a blind spot.
If Trump doesn't run, (fair of not - he's got baggage) who would Sundance think is a viable Pubbie candidate?

Sundance’s reporting on DeSantis has sounded cynical, but SD IS a Floridian so he sees that scene from very close range. And he has done great analysis on many issues others didn’t touch… We read. We watch. We pay attention. It’s early days.
