When I watch TV with my husband Steve, a former athlete, I see superb ballplayers in basketball, baseball, and football exhibiting what immense discipline went into their sculpted bodies, what sacrifices they made to achieve their goals, what tremendous––almost superhuman––talent they have in effecting that three-point shot from mid-court, that spectacular triple play, that “you’ve been Mossed” catch in the endzone. And I picture them as young boys watching Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, Tom Brady, and saying to themselves what Steve––his team’s slugger––said to himself in 1955, when, at the age of 14, he took the 3,000-mile train ride from New Haven, CT, to Portland,

Read the article, and you too will see something very odd. No, nothing at all about the subject, but it's like it was censored , by the very site it was posted on! I thought I was losing my mind, but no, many words are just missing, like it went though Russian or Chinese censors. Weird, and a shame, because there seem to be some good points to this story

Reading this article was like listening to a cell phone call in a dead zone--many, many missing words and phrases. The censorship is obvious, but the question is, who censored it? I suppose the gist of the article comes through, viz., it is the evil democrats who have conspired to keep the black man down, but look deeper. Identify who are these evil democrats, and what single identifying characteristic do they share? Hint: Ye is on to something.

I read the whole article, I didn’t encounter any of the things the two posters above claim. It’s very informative - gives a history few are aware of. Bottom line, hate is driven by fear and envy. Many hate Jews because of envy. Same when it comes to Asians. Both cultures have pretty firm rules when it comes to eduction of children (the book on Tiger Moms was written by a Chinese mom). Huge emphasis is put on education- something Americans have completely lost via laws instituted by liberals. It takes time and commitment to have your kids be serious about the rigors of school work and setting up a mindset of sticking to it to reach goals. This is what Asians and Jews achieve, whites - not so much.

A very provocative and eye opening article, but I kept wondering as I read it, why are so many Jews voting as democrats? If they would truly believe like this article reads, they would vote their conscious in New York! The democrats would be out of business!

One can turn to any race, ethnicity or religion and find an anti-(fill-in-the-blank) period that often extends to modern days. How 'bout the Irish and British? Arabs and Persians? Koreans and Japanese? Nigerians and black South Africans. For some the Crusades aren't over. And one can extend that empty hatred (and often attendant provocation) by engaging in it.

I had no trouble reading the article. I wonder if the problems that others had is related to which search engine they use. Envy is the main factor in the antiSemitism rampant in the black community. It also explains their hatred of Asians. Jews and Asians are highly successful people. Candace Owens nailed it when she said, “When you decide to become a victim, you become your own oppressor.” That may not be an exact quote, but it’s close.

Forgot to add… #5, the reason that so many Jews vote democrat is that they are secular Jews and they are leftists before they are Jews.

@#4 and $8 - I read the article just now and experienced the same bizarre blank spaces, missing words, and incomplete sentences. Even the "by line" is blank. " by. ." No author's name. With enough years under my belt for historical context, I can fill in a good number of them, for the most part. But I've never seen anything quite like it.

This was a hard year for conservatives. In 2022, we mourned the loss of a host of influential and important thinkers on the Right. The intellectual wing of the conservative movement has always been a vital force for inspiring, presenting, and driving home conservative ideas. The conservatives we lost in this past year all played a part in this dynamic exchange, in newspapers, at think tanks, in academia, on the judiciary, and in entertainment. The voices they provided helped conservative ideas get heard — and for that we can be grateful.

The Biden administration has quietly finalized a rule allowing employers to funnel workers’ 401(k) funds into investments that support woke causes that address issues such as climate change and diversity. The Labor Department approved the rule last week, just two days before the Thanksgiving break. It will affect roughly 150 million workers and $10 trillion in assets covered under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. The rule says asset managers and retirement plan administrators should consider environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) factors when selecting investments.

One senior official told Politico they believe America was standing to gain the most from the continuation of the fighting, nine months after soldiers first invaded. Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi won re-election last month for the 18th time last month. She’s been serving in the House since assuming office in June, 1987. But will she continue to serve for another two years, completing the term of the 118th Congress? Don’t ask me. Don’t ask her, either — it’s not a question she wants to answer, apparently. Reporters who didn’t know that, if there were any, found out during a Thursday news conference when someone had the audacity to bring it up. “Will you commit to serving your full two-year term for the people of San Francisco?” a reporter asked. “What is this?
