I Cannot Vote for Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker

Original Article

During this midterm campaign, I attended hundreds of events in my district, around Arizona, and around the country. The issue I was asked about most often was whether I or the Republicans in the House, or the Republicans in the Senate, would keep the same leaders. Not only did my constituents want the “red wave” that didn’t materialize, they also wanted new leadership. They told me that they want a leader who will take on the Biden Administration. A leader who will not acquiesce in the abrogation of our rights

At long last a republican congressman who actually seems to want to fight hard for our Country and serve the voters who got him into Congress and at long last a congressman who not afraid to speak out against the corrupt, weak, and yes traitorous current leaders of the republican party. Thank you Congressman Briggs for your patriotism and standing up to fight for us. We support you. McCarthy must not be Speaker. The republicans in the Senate? A pack of liars, betrayers, corrupt leeches, and cowards who have once again given the finger to their voters and made the awful China Mitch the republican leader of the Senate who is joined at the hip to one of the worst human beings on the planet, Schumer.

The only thing that the election results prove is that many voters still believe what the MSM tells them. The Democrats tell them what to print and “son of a gun” the MSM reports it word for word.

So why did Biggs not support Conventional of States. He killed it in AZ. It's in the Constitution and it is the only way to get term limits to help drain the swamp.

I get the general idea that Andy Briggs is not overjoyed with McCarthy being the House Speaker. What I would like to know is who he proposes as an alternative. Pitching a temper tantrum is not a solution. Nor is leaving the office vacant. Will he rather see another Democrat fill the position to keep McCarthy from being Speaker? That would be brilliant!

Andy Biggs is my rep. Love the man. McCarthy failed in many ways with his feeble commitment to America. We need a new Speaker of the House. Jim Jorden, Andy Biggs, or even a non member of congress. (Gasp - even Trump or Desantis)

It’s been an interesting week of watching people on the Right scrambling to sling mud at anything or anyone to which or whom it will stick. Perhaps the most interesting of all is “who” the blame has fallen to. Namely, Donald Trump. Most people do not understand the kind of true sacrifice Trump made when he decided to run for office—even though he surely didn’t have to. The hatred and other persecutions, the sorts that come with such public sacrifices, have the potential of ruining not only one’s own life but that of one’s family.

If there’s one thing the 2022 midterms made clear, it’s that Democrats have a huge ground game advantage over Republicans. Whether it’s a month of harvesting (and curing) ballots thanks to early voting, or going door-to-door filling out ballots for huge swaths of unlikely voters, Democrats know that turning out ballots is more important than turning out votes. They don’t have to rely on generating traditional Election Day enthusiasm through distributing campaign mailers or running TV ads. Republicans, however, still insist on investing the majority of their campaign funds into these antiquated (or pre-2020) methods. And they’re showing no signs of stopping. Why? Blame the political consultant class.

Joe Biden, the military-industrial-congressional complex, State Department neocons, the War Party comprised of all Democrats and many corporate Republicans, and Western globalist elites have the United States and NATO in a Ukrainian proxy war against Russia. The warmongers are obsessed with destroying Russia. To achieve it, they are determined to fight to the last Ukrainian. In eight months, Congress has wasted $69 billion of American taxpayer money to fund their proxy war. That’s about $8 billion more than Russia’s entire annual military budget. And to the delight of the American arms industry, there is no end in sight. Biden is soon expected to request another $50 billion.  CORRECTION*

In the days following the 2022 midterms, some self-anointed conservative thought leaders, who were never all that pro-Trump to begin with, have officially thrown the 45th President under the bus. These spineless conservatives have frolicked over to the DeSantis camp in a way that almost seems as if it was choreographed. Just like that, Trump is yesterday’s news -- he is to be discarded and forgotten about. ‘We need to move on from Trump!’ they’ll sheepishly exclaim. To that I say: pathetic… absolutely pathetic. This kind of thinking, to put it euphemistically, is unsound and illogical. While it’s hard to put a positive spin on the mediocre midterm results,

When Congress authorized $80 billion this year to beef up Internal Revenue Service enforcement and staffing, Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy warned that “Democrats’ new army of 87,000 IRS agents will be coming for you.” A video quickly went viral racking up millions of views, purporting to show a bunch of clumsy bureaucrats receiving firearms training, prompting alarm that the IRS would be engaged in military-style raids of taxpayers. The GOP claims were widely attacked as exaggerations — since the video, though from the IRS, didn’t show official agent training — but the criticism has shed light on a growing trend: the rapid arming of the federal government.

How Conservative Men Can Help Solve The
GOP’s Single Women Problem

Last week’s election revealed an ever-deepening divide between the voting preferences of single women and everyone else. Single women broke +37 for Democrats, whereas single men, married men, and married women all favored Republicans. Perhaps “toxic feminism” or “AWFL discourse” is the problem. But whatever the explanation, given the slim margins of the recent election, this is a real issue for Republicans. Such voting trends are problematic yet understandable. Single women who lack the protection and security that a husband or father provides are likely to look elsewhere, such as to government, for the securing of their interests.

Is Peggy Noonan back in the driver’s seat? The title and argument of her Wall Street Journal column Thursday made me wonder. “Maybe Republicans Will Finally Learn,” she intoned, explaining in a subhead, “If they aren’t serious about policy, they’ll nominate Trump in 2024 and lose a fourth straight election.” By “Peggy Noonan,” I do not just mean that particular columnist. I mean the generators of The Narrative tout court. As a paid-up member of the establishment, Noonan has long been a Trump opponent. Now that the initial shock of the red wave that wasn’t has worn off and the anger over dramatic Republican underperformance in what should have been a massive year has somewhat subsided, it may be possible to rationally analyze why the Wisconsin GOP failed to capture the governor’s mansion. By winning a second term, Democrat Governor Tony Evers became the first man to win a gubernatorial election when his party controlled the White House in more than 30 years.Making his victory even more improbable was the fact that Republican Senator Ron Johnson won reelection on the same night.

The GOP’s lackluster performance on Tuesday speaks not only to the party’s fecklessness but also to the liberalism of the American people. Even if the GOP had run uniformly strong candidates, they would still have struggled to persuade Americans in thrall to left-wing propaganda. The truth is that whoever owns the culture in the end owns politics. The complacent assumption of many pundits is that politics revolves around the “economy, stupid.” But what truly animates politics is the culture that shapes voters. Whoever controls that culture usually wins. The American people are electing the pols they deserve, demagogues who mirror the woke prejudices of an increasingly propagandized people.

The morning after a boisterous crowd of supporters cheered for “four more years” of Gov. J.B. Nor did the Gold Coast billionaire shut down talk of his own potential presidential aspirations following an election night speech that once again seemed tailored for a national Democratic audience that remains skeptical of President Joe Biden’s possible reelection bid.

The United States will take part in the creation of and contribute to a fund that will pay developing nations to tackle climate change. The fund, negotiated at the United Nations' COP27 Summit, was originally known as a 'loss and damage' fund and had been blocked by previous American administrations.  With a final climate accord already more than a day overdue, representatives of nearly 200 nations were anxious for an agreement they could bill as a step forward in the fight against climate change.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing. “The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday on PBS’s “Firing Line” that the Department of Justice seems to “have the basis for legitimately indicting” former President Donald Trump. Partial transcript as follows: BARR: If a former president commits a crime, you know, especially a serious crime, they should be indicted for it. If the Department of Justice can show that these were indeed very sensitive documents, which I think they probably were, and also show that the president consciously was involved in misleading the department, deceiving the government, and playing games after he had received the subpoena for the documents, those are serious charges. That’s serious.
