Stick a fiscal fork in ’em: These student loan debtors are done. As they contend with a second legal setback to President Biden’s estimated $430 billion student debt cancellation plan, some exasperated borrowers told The Post they won’t ever pay another penny toward their massive tabs — regardless of how it might impact their future finances. (Snip) Four distraught debtors, meanwhile, told The Post they’ll become student loan scofflaws amid widespread uncertainty and growing calls for Biden to extend the payment pause yet again.

"The world owes me!" Fools don't realize that they are owed NOTHING by anyone. If they are lucky, they have parents who are sensible (many are not) and will help with at least love and good advice. But, once they are adults and think they are owed support from other people's bank accounts, they are probably hopeless for their whole lives, although some figure it out and get their heads straight. That often takes a trip to the very bottom, with every thing failed and gone. Even then, many just can't figure out that they need to get job skills and a job.

I took a look at some of the reader comments as suggested by OP. See for yourself and have Kleenex at hand while reading all the angry sob stories from those who, on their own initiative, are refusing to pay back what they owe because they were promised relief. What a bunch of spoiled, self-entitled brats. This is yet another insidious part of Hussein's plan to transform America. Who here didn't know that nationalizing student loans would create this monster?

Where in the Constitution does it give any president the power to suspend payment on Student loans? Doesn't the Congress control this type of spending? Hey republicans in the House, how about you stand up and put a stop to this action by Dictator Biden and take back your powers as enumerated in the Constitution? Oh sorry, I forgot the republicans will do nothing as always. As to these spoiled punks who say they would pay off their loans, yeah you got played by the Communist Death Democrats to vote for them but reality is the government will come after you with a vengeance to get their money back. In the end you will pay one way or the other. Best of luck, lowers.

Cool. So long as they realize the consequences of not paying their debts and they are ready to accept the damage that they'll sustain by reneging. But getting more to the root of the problem, let's protect the kids by declaring ALL student loans to be PREDATORY on their face and make college loans illegal. Let future college students find other ways to pay for college.

I think I'll start demanding reparations. If Biden is able to forgive these college loans then he should be forced to pay me back for paying for my own college education by working full time while still going to college. The problem is, I wouldn't actually want to stick other taxpayers with that, it was my choice to go to college. I agree with others above, these must be mostly democrats.

From the NY Post comments section. It's too good to not copy and post. NYU Ethan (he/him) 2 hours ago I feel his pain. I’m currently about $100k in debt after my dad said he wouldn’t continue to fund my undergraduate degree after 4 years (now in my 6th year). I’m double majoring in music therapy and Aboriginal Culture Studies. I don’t have a lot of time to work between community organizing with BLM, handing out cell phones to migrants (bienvenidos inmigrantes!) and watching after my therapy dog Mx. Trotsky. Working is not a lifestyle choice compatible with my lived experience. It actually makes me feel unsafe. It’s only fair that my student loans be forgiven and I offered a universal basic income from the traumas I have already suffered. Otherwise, I’m just not paying.

The amount of debt going on in this country, it is inevitable a significant portion of it will never be paid back. There are a lot of deadbeats out there. At that point, the only question that remains will be who will foot the bill. Can our government make debt 'disappear'? I am reminded of an incident I saw many years ago when I worked at a print shop. We took an order to print some ID cards. It should have raised red flags immediately and should have told the customer we don't do that sort of thing. Instead, we went ahead and printed the order. When it came time for payment, the guy wrote us a check, and we asked for his ID. He presented us with a card that looked very much like the ones just printed. Oh... We checked his bank account, and it was closed. The manager somehow made the invoice disappear, and never got caught. The owners made a point to account for every invoice. Don't know how the manager go away with that. We never took another order for ID cards after that.

Proof once again that liberals simply do not have the cognitive ability to see the unintended consequences of their hare-brained policies. What Biden will have created is not a bunch of people who are getting their loans paid off by tax collectors... but a new crop of financial losers. I say... we need a system in which a default on a student loan works just like a default on an auto loan. You LOSE your degree. Not sure how to make that stick in the real world but it certainly seems right in my head. That way there may be a boatload of Harvard professors with only high school educations.

Not sure a College Education gives them the definition of Wage Garnishment. If they have a decent job, say as a Lawyer or a Doctor, they might want to think twice about refusing to pay their Loans. Garnishment will destroy their future borrowing say for a Home Loan or Car loan. NOBODY is going to give them ZIP if they have a record of Wage Garnishment. And, in the long run, they are still going to have to PAY or they will wind up in Jail!

Where was Biden while colleges & universities were continuously raising tuition spurred by increased enrollments? All caused by excess demand caused by the exhortation by the left that kids must have a college degree or they would not be able to get a good job. The colleges are sitting on hundreds of millions of dollars in Endowments. They couldnt care less whether a graduate actually gets a job. Read Charlie Kirk’s book The college scam. It’s a eye opener.

Held at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC, Michelle O spouted bias, braids, and a Black first lady to a full house. In a show of defiance that inspired audience applause, at the end of her diatribe, Obama motioned to her current hairstyle and exclaimed, “Braids, ya’ll!” For Michelle Obama, “overcoming in uncertain times” requires a new hairdo and self-help book tour

House Democratic Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries, who appears to be unopposed in his bid to be the Democratic Minority Leader next year, told CNN on Sunday morning that the party's number one "nongovernmental goal" will be to take back the House majority in 2024. "We're not satisfied [with the results in 2022]. Our top nongovernmental goal must be reclaiming the House in 2024," Jeffries said. "And I'm committed to making sure that that happens for the good of the American people." "It's an honor to stand on the shoulders of such an extraordinary group of leaders, Jim Clyburn, Steny Hoyer

Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright — with the Elections Integrity Unit — wrote a letter to the Maricopa County officials Saturday demanding an accounting for the widespread ballot tabulation and ballot printer problems seen during the general election on Nov. 8. Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.

In what looks like an act of sheer desperation, President Biden is offering Americans a $20 discount on groceries at CVS, Safeway, Winn-Dixie, or Rite Aid this winter if they will go out and get an Omicron-specific COVID booster. (Video) Biden received an updated booster shot for COVID three weeks ago and sent out a message beseeching Americans to do the same, according to the Daily Mail. Most of the country proceeded to ignore the warning, having moved past the pandemic and on to other more pressing emergencies such as roaring inflation.

A 22-year-old man was taken into police custody early Sunday morning after two heroic clubgoers tackled him to the ground to stop him from firing more rounds at a gay nightclub. Five people died in the shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs Saturday night, and 18 others were injured. Authorities say Anderson Lee Aldrich entered the gay club just before midnight and fired an unknown number of bullets from his AR-15-style long rifle before he was stopped by at least two 'heroic' patrons. Early reports suggest the gunman was wearing bulletproof armor at the time.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Sunday vowed to remove Democratic Reps. Eric Swalwell, Adam Schiff and Ilhan Omar from their congressional committees when Republicans retake control in the new Congress. During an appearance on Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures," McCarthy told anchor Maria Bartiromo that he will keep the promise he made in January to remove Swalwell and Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee and Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee. McCarthy said Swalwell's association with a Chinese spy, Schiff’s promotion of the Steele dossier and Omar’s criticism of Israel disqualify them from serving on their respective panels.

It’s been an interesting week of watching people on the Right scrambling to sling mud at anything or anyone to which or whom it will stick. Perhaps the most interesting of all is “who” the blame has fallen to. Namely, Donald Trump. Most people do not understand the kind of true sacrifice Trump made when he decided to run for office—even though he surely didn’t have to. The hatred and other persecutions, the sorts that come with such public sacrifices, have the potential of ruining not only one’s own life but that of one’s family.

The Bible holds that “Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise…” (Proverbs 17:28.) In the modern era, with attribution to Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln, or others, that’s been reworked as “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.” Former Attorney General Bill Barr’s latest embittered statements about the documents the FBI stole from Mar-a-Lago place him squarely within that quotation. In the government, where it’s almost impossible to get fired, those who stick around long enough become respected, even revered. That’s especially true for attorneys who work in the Department of Justice.
