The morning after a boisterous crowd of supporters cheered for “four more years” of Gov. J.B. Pritzker, the freshly reelected Democratic incumbent said Wednesday he’s “planning” to give them that much time in office — but wouldn’t promise to finish his second term. Nor did the Gold Coast billionaire shut down talk of his own potential presidential aspirations following an election night speech that once again seemed tailored for a national Democratic audience that remains skeptical of President Joe Biden’s possible reelection bid.

My children live in IL. I don't know why they stay there! I left 1995! That State is a Hell Hole! That said, after this last election, anything is possible. In PA they elected the shell of a Man just because he had a D after his name. I never thought I would see see something like that happen. Then Democrats won in States that should have been ready for a huge change. NY comes to mind with the Crime they have that keeps people from using their Subway system out of fear. But, they still voted for the Inept Governor they have because she has a D behind her name. So, if Pritzker runs for President in 2024, he just could win! Not sure I will be around to see that happen, I hope I won't! Our Country has changed so much with our Young people having been indoctrinated and now are ALL voting Democrat. No doubt they would vote for Pritzker! Such a shame our great country could come to that!!

Pritzker is dreaming if he thinks he could be President. For one thing, he's not exactly telegenic! Plus, he's a trust-fund billionaire who never held a real job and whose state, Illinois, is in terrible condition economically. Illinois voters are, overall, brain dead. They reflexively vote Democrat no matter who the candidate is. I don't think JB is going to do well in states where the two party system still exists.

@5, not all of us are brain dead but it's hard to overcome Chicago voters and their cemeteries. Kind of like other states with 1-2 dominantly populated cities, probably 95 of the 110 counties reliably vote Republican but Cook County and the other collar counties and then Peoria and Springfield have the any D is a good D mentality. As much as Pritzker is hated in IL and would love to be rid of him, I wouldn't want him foisted on the nation. The only thing positive happening here is population decline which cost us an electoral vote after the last census and the exports are hopefully moving to states where their Republican votes have more value.

Nope! Most people will take one look at Pritzker and see fat greasy rich corrupt politician and immediately discount him. It will be easy for other Democrats to portray Pritzker as the greedy rich guy and use good old Democrat class envy as a weapon against him. It would be fun to watch.

I was born and raised in Illinois, when it was a different place. I left in my late 20’s for greener pastures, and swore I’d never live there again, and I haven’t. Downstate was always pretty conservative - It’s Chicago (and everything north of I-80) that’s the problem. Those people are so brain-dead they’d vote for a rotting corpse if it had a “D” after its name.

Now that the initial shock of the red wave that wasn’t has worn off and the anger over dramatic Republican underperformance in what should have been a massive year has somewhat subsided, it may be possible to rationally analyze why the Wisconsin GOP failed to capture the governor’s mansion. By winning a second term, Democrat Governor Tony Evers became the first man to win a gubernatorial election when his party controlled the White House in more than 30 years.Making his victory even more improbable was the fact that Republican Senator Ron Johnson won reelection on the same night.

The GOP’s lackluster performance on Tuesday speaks not only to the party’s fecklessness but also to the liberalism of the American people. Even if the GOP had run uniformly strong candidates, they would still have struggled to persuade Americans in thrall to left-wing propaganda. The truth is that whoever owns the culture in the end owns politics. The complacent assumption of many pundits is that politics revolves around the “economy, stupid.” But what truly animates politics is the culture that shapes voters. Whoever controls that culture usually wins. The American people are electing the pols they deserve, demagogues who mirror the woke prejudices of an increasingly propagandized people.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Without a doubt, former President Donald Trump has not so quietly been hinting that, yes indeed, he will in fact run in 2024 and win back his old job. In fact, in Ohio on Monday night, he said this: “I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago.” He should. As evidenced by his seriously enthusiastic supporters who attended his various fall rallies around the country in Florida or Pennsylvania or Wisconsin or Ohio or elsewhere, the former president stands a very serious chance of winning.

THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY is quietly broadening its efforts to curb speech it considers dangerous, an investigation by The Intercept has found. Years of internal DHS memos, emails, and documents — obtained via leaks and an ongoing lawsuit, as well as public documents — illustrate an expansive effort by the agency to influence tech platforms. The work, much of which remains unknown to the American public, came into clearer view earlier this year when DHS announced a new “Disinformation Governance Board”: a panel designed to police misinformation (false information spread unintentionally), disinformation (false information spread intentionally), and malinformation
