The Sanibel Causeway, which was damaged by Hurricane Ian, will reopen to civilians this month and is already opened to emergency vehicles, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced on Tuesday.
The Sanibel Causeway, which connects Sanibel Island and Captiva to Florida’s mainland, collapsed and was damaged in three different areas due to the massive Category 4 storm, which hit Florida’s west coast before exiting on the east coast and making a second U.S. landfall: [Tweets]
DeSantis said on Tuesday that the causeway was “severed” in three different locations, and they were “flying in search and rescue immediately” after the storm passed.

Former Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield is spilling the beans concerning why he is no longer with Newsmax, asserting that he was fired when he refused to attack Fox News host Tucker Carlson on air. (Video) The Daily Beast is reporting that Stinchfield disappeared from the network in July after Newsmax switched up his timeslot to bring former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren on board.
Not long after that development, Stinchfield left Newsmax. Now he has a new show, “Stinchfield – Uncensored,” and he is outing the network concerning his forced departure in its premiere.

A Manhattan public school with just one certified bilingual teacher is reeling under the weight of a sudden influx of migrant students who don’t speak any English, The Post has learned.
“We’re overwhelmed,” one frustrated teacher at PS 33 Chelsea Prep said Tuesday.
“We’ve all got migrant students in our classrooms. The teachers don’t speak Spanish. There’s no resources helping us out right now — it’s a very challenging situation.”
One outraged mom said migrant kids — easily identified by lime green ID tags that hang from their necks — have swelled the size of her daughter’s class from 15 to 20 kids.

NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns reported Tuesday that John Fetterman, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, still has "a hard time understanding what he’s hearing" ahead of the midterm elections. Burns appeared on MSNBC’s "Katy Tur Reports" to preview her exclusive interview with the lieutenant governor, which will air in its entirety on Wednesday. Both Burns and Tur noted that this would mark the first time that Fetterman has sat down for a one-on-one interview with a reporter since his stroke in May.
Regarding the stroke, Burns commented that the interview itself showed Fetterman struggling to have verbal conversations.

Not hardly, In fact, Democrats are already beginning to blame Republicans for fraud by pointing out that a growing number of local election officials across the country believe in the so-called Big Lie. This means that Republicans are prepared to try and steal the election and must be stopped.
The Washington Post pointed out that that “half of all Republican candidates for the House and Senate and key statewide offices, 299 out of 569, are Big Lie believers.” Note that they don’t define the “Big Lie.”

After dismantling federal abortion rights in its previous term, the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday turned away a case that would consider extending constitutional protections to the unborn.
The Supreme Court declined to hear the case on Tuesday without comment, CNN and CBS News reported.
In Dobbs vs. Jackson, the conservative-leaning Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, the 1970s-era case that offered sweeping access to an abortion. The court this year ruled that abortion rights are not enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, leaving the issue to the states.
The court in the Dobbs decision, however, avoided the question of whether an unborn child is entitled to the same rights

According to the National Liberty of medicine, arrhythmia is an irregular heartbeat. It can refer to a heart that is beating too quickly, too slowly, or with an otherwise irregular pattern.

Members of Congress rejected the apparatus and it was never utilized.(Snip) In 1910, President Theodore Roosevelt became the first U.S. president to take flight in an airplane. Piloted by Arch Hoxsey, Roosevelt would stay aloft for 4 minutes in a Wright brothers-built plane at Kinloch Field in St. Louis, Mo.

Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan doubled down on his comments from earlier in the year calling to “kill and confront” MAGA while specifically targeting J.D. Vance in his rhetoric during the debate on Monday night.
In the heated debate between Ryan and his Republican opponent for Ohio’s open U.S. Senate seat, Ryan was confronted and asked to explain his comments earlier in the year when he told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the “exhausted majority” needed to “kill and confront” the extremist Republican movement.
Now, Ryan, during the debate — doubling down on his comments — included Vance in the group of people he labels as “extremists.”

Photos of Jeff Younger’s smiling twin boys are scattered throughout his comfortable brick home in the Dallas suburbs. Happy moments, frozen in time.(snip)He took the boys to parks, teaching them how to hurl sticks and track rabbits along a creek, all part of growing his boys into men.
But for Younger’s son, James, now 10, manhood may never come.
James is like so many swept up in the hype of transgenderism, part of an exploding trend among youth and young adults. And Younger is among a swarm of objectors, many of them parents, fighting an uphill battle against a $2.1 billion transgender industry in the United States.

They may not have realized it, but those on the left mocking Rep. Lauren Boebert for tweeting “Two Words: Let’s Go Brandon!” were actually mocking President Biden. Democrats and left-wing pundits accused the Colorado Republican of not knowing how to count after she posted her Saturday tweet, prompting those who keep up with the news cycle to point out that she was poking fun at Mr. Biden’s miscue the day before. “Let me start with two words: Made in America,” Mr. Biden said Friday in an appearance at a Volvo truck plant in Hagerstown, Maryland. The flub was widely reported in conservative media outlets,

After the recent abuse of power by the FBI, gun owners have every reason in the world to be distrustful of the federal government.
The same FBI that just raided the home of the White House’s political opponent now wants to “review” gun permit records of private citizens.
During a Senate hearing this week, the FBI Director refused to answer questions as to why the FBI wants to collect sensitive information on concealed carry permit holders.
Federal agencies like the FBI and the ATF that are waging war on your constitutional rights MUST be stopped.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced she left the Democratic Party on Tuesday, denouncing the organization as an "elitist cabal.” Gabbard, who retired from the House of Representatives in 2021, attacked the institution in a nearly 30-minute video posted to her YouTube account. She did not announce plans to join the Republican Party or adopt any other political affiliation, however. "I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism," Gabbard said in an excerpt posted to Twitter. The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has paused all gender transition surgeries for minors following an explosive report about their pediatric gender services and a letter from state legislators demanding the practices stop, according to a letter from VUMC.
“We are pausing gender affirmation surgeries on patients under age 18 while we complete this review, which may take several months. In addition, we understand this issue is likely to be taken up by the General Assembly in its next legislative session.

During an interview on "Varney & Co." Friday, Texas Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales discussed America's dismantled southern border, arguing President Biden and House Democrats are to blame for the "complete chaos."
REP. TONY GONZALES: The commissioner is the one that started this. You know, the federal government was flying people all over the country and now the states and the municipalities are bussing people all over the country.

As the United States careens out of control and left-wing hysteria over the impending red wave in the 2022 mid-terms reaches a crescendo, the irrationality, obliviousness, and immaturity of the followers of American Marxism has been on display for the world to see. These are the underlying characteristics of the clueless army of foot soldiers who dwell in a state of perpetual adolescence as they profess allegiance to those few who devoutly believe in a unique amalgamation of Marxism

Either having forgotten or maybe entirely unaware of why the colonies fought for independence, Joe Biden said some years ago that paying higher taxes was “patriotic.” Now as president, Biden wants to enforce his version of patriotism by siccing the IRS on the country. If only we could declare our independence from politicians so ravenous for other people’s money that they’ll say and do anything.
Among the many shameful and damnable provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act passed in August by the Democrats is an extra $80 billion for the IRS. That’s more than six times its current annual budget, and will boost the agency’s enforcement funding by 69%

This midterm season has seen the mainstream media downplaying outbreaks of crime, and its causes, across the country, an issue that polls badly for Democrats. So it’s not a shock that the networks on Monday morning buried a shooting outside New York Congressman (and GOP gubernatorial candidate) Lee Zeldin’s home. Zeldin’s two teenage daughters were home alone and were just feet away from the shooting.
Yet, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today avoided the story on Monday morning,

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace suggested Monday that the United States might need a “Democracy commission” or some other organization that could save America from the Republicans — and she thought that former President Barack Obama could potentially spearhead such an effort.
Wallace, who hosts “Deadline: White House” on the left-leaning network posed the question to former Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) — and even McCaskill quickly dismissed the idea that a “commission” of any sort was necessary.

Conformity of thought is now required whether it is online, on college campuses, or, if you are in California, in a physician-patient relationship.
PayPal recently introduced a $2,500 fine for anyone involved in “the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials” that — in “PayPal’s sole discretion” — “promote misinformation.”
After a firestorm of criticism, PayPal withdrew the policy, claiming the whole thing was a misunderstanding and was not official policy— hardly a convincing explanation from a site with a history of banning those it considers politically incorrect.
But California physicians have had no such relief.

Former President Donald Trump on Monday remembered Columbus Day by calling on fellow citizens to revive the national holiday.
“BRING BACK COLUMBUS DAY!” Trump stated on Truth Social.
Columbus Day is a national holiday celebrated in the United States, along with other continental nations, to commemorate the day Italian explorer Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas on October 12, 1492. The voyage would be followed by three others in 1493, 1498, and 1502.
Columbus’s first voyage was financed by Ferdinand II and Isabella I, the Catholic Monarchs of Spain. The investment was significant at the time due to Spain’s expensive war against the invading Moors (Muslims).

This week, we celebrate the 530th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s landing in the Western Hemisphere. Oct. 12, 2022, will commemorate the day the Italian explorer united the Old World and the New World, forever changing the course of human history. Until about 1992, this was a national holiday and a day to celebrate Italian American heritage. Oct. 12 has since become a day to scorn Western civilization, as the American Left and “multi-culturalist” academics, through various Native American front groups, have used the occasion to recite various atrocity stories and criticisms of the settlement and conquest of the Americas by Europeans.
