Special counsel John Durham, in what is likely the final trial of his probe into the origins of the FBI’s Trump-Russia collusion investigation, let the bureau off the hook for misconduct, casting it as a hapless victim of a dishonest Russian analyst named Igor Danchenko. Mr. Danchenko, a critical source for the anti-Trump dossier, lied to FBI officials and spurred their “troubling” behavior while going after the Trump campaign in 2016, prosecutors said Tuesday in opening statements at Mr. Danchenko’s trial.
“The Steele dossier caused the FBI to engage in troubling conduct. The defendant’s lies played a role in that conduct,” prosecutor Michael Keilty told the jurors

So if you lie to the FBI and they arrest people based on your lies, they bear no responsibility even when they find out you lied. They have no responsibility to verify information before using it to arrest people? Durham needs to be investigated starting in November 9th.

Yet another prosecutor making excuses for criminal behavior. Dear Officer Krupke, I'm depraved on account of being deprived.

Every time the "justice department" gives a pass to members of law enforcement and legal system, we go further down the track of corruption down, down to totalitarianism and destruction.
disgusting

No mention of the Comey lies, the McCabe lies, and all the intentional fraud on the FISA courts.

In essence, former and current officials of the FBI can continue their TV appearances and Congressional "testimonies" knowing that they'll never spend a day in jail which they so deservedly deserve. Hey John, how about that FBI lawyer that altered an email and got 12 months probation? Yes John, start wrapping things up and don't send out false hope. Gee, you may get a "foreigner" convicted.

It’s Groundhog Day. Same thing day after day. Luckily I have seen this movie over and over. I knew what the ending was going to be so I did not have my hopes up.

Durham's so-called stellar reputation is slowly being tarnished but, he was probably a turncoat from the beginning, anyway

As with all soap operas, the cliff hanger is on Friday. The total recap comes on Monday of the next week. Yawn. The soap commercials is where the drama is.

Guess they picked the wrong guy for this so-called investigation. Guess Durham is clueless that the FBI tried to bribe Chris Steele with a million dollars to get him to verify all the unverifiable lies in that so-called dossier. Hillary and the DNC can continue their nefarious dirty tricks from here to eternity. And the media can keep cheering them on and voting Dem forever. And the rest of us are just semi-fascist conspiracy theorists.

This guy appears to have been a ringer. We should have known. The corruption in the DOJ is almost incalculable. He was touted at the best, fairest, and a real bulldog. Clearly, he is nothing more than a lapdog doing the bidding of the deep state. When any person with a couple brain cells can see the mountain of evidence against these agents and they, are given a pass, there is only one conclusion. Durham is as guilty as the rest of the rot living off the largesse of the people they harass and intimidate just because they can. Not only has this been a farce, it is an expensive one and Durham and his crew have been paid very well to find nothing that will hold these agents accountable. It is disgusting. I honestly doubt there is any integrity in the DOJ. Corruption has swallowed it up. This is a ghastly decision that further proves our system of justice is broken and there is no will to implement the appropriate solution.

We've gotten the one-two punch from the DOJ. They worked this out years ago and with this they've sprung the trap:
They knew they faced two consequences for FISA-gate: the first was criminal prosecution for their blatant crimes. That was inside the loop and easily handled.
But the second was vulnerability in civil court; a lawsuit by Trump, who would release an avalanche of mostly incontrovertible proof. That threat was far more unpredictable. Primary documents would appear. There would be signatures in ink. Names would be mentioned.
Trump had been waiting for Durham to complete his investigation before taking action. DOJ knew this.
They were also confident that Durham would throw the game for them--that was in the bag. But Trump, with his mountain of evidence, what to do?
What else but declare those documents, along with a group of imaginary ones, TOP SECRET and claim Trump had illegally absconded with them (court precedent be damned.) So they found a compliant judge to sign on the line, allowing them to send their goon squad to plunder his house and pose in intimidating attitudes for the cameras. Follow that with a few nights' of media hysteria and political indignation--and it wouldn't hurt to similarly raid a few more ordinary citizens to boot, 'pour encourager les autres.' Problem solved.
Or is it? Did they get all the evidence?
