Fake charities are spending millions to
help Democrats win elections

It’s no secret that government agencies give the Left more of a leash than the Right. Headline-grabbing stories over the past few years have exposed the overt political biases of agencies such as the FBI and the Justice Department. But underreported is a much larger story of the same ideological malfeasance in the nonprofit sector, a topic less sexy than corruption in the intelligence agencies, but arguably more important due to the growth of political activism via charities. In fact, what the IRS isn’t doing in the nonprofit (or “public charity”) sector will affect the midterm elections far more than any FBI raid ever could.

They also, charitably of course, register and vote for anyone that forgot to do so, when Democrat election officials let them know the Democrats are trailing in the vote counts.

In August, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin reached a deal with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer under which the coal state lawmaker would cast the deciding vote in favor of Democrats' $745 billion Inflation Reduction Act in exchange for a promise from Democratic leaders to include language streamlining the oil and gas permitting process in the next continuing resolution. Now that House progressives are blocking the inclusion of permitting reform in the CR, Manchin is lashing out at GOP leaders for "revenge politics," blaming them for failing to deliver Republican votes to uphold the promise Schumer made to obtain Manchin's vote for a budget-busting tax and spending bill

It is unclear which Republicans will be invited to attend or speak.

The place where Joe Biden face planted into the concrete falling off his bike last month has been named as ‘Brandon Falls’ on Google Maps. Someone has managed to place a landmark in the Delaware location, naming it after the infamous ‘Lets go Brandon’ chant, which was initiated after the White House claimed Nascar fans were not chanting ‘F*ck Joe Biden’ when they totally were. At time of writing, ‘Brandon Falls’ is still listed as a ‘historical landmark’ on Google Maps

The national Black Lives Matter group granted $8 million to BLM Canada to purchase a mansion in Toronto that only cost $6.3 million, according to audited financial statements obtained by the Washington Examiner. BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors was the sole board member of the BLM Global Network Foundation when it granted the funds to BLM Canada, the records show. Cullors's spouse, Janaya Khan, served on the board of BLM Canada when the transfer was made. "I have never witnessed a lack of governance on this scale in my nearly 20 years as a charity watchdog," CharityWatch Executive Director Laurie Styron told the Washington Examiner.

The Biden administration is deploying US troops to Somalia. President Biden signed off on the plan on Monday, along with a plan to target some dozen leaders of Al Shabab. Trump had withdrawn troops from the war-torn region near the end of his time in office. About 450 troops will be sent to Somalia, on Africa's east coast. The troops being redeployed to Somalia are Special Operations forces, and the Pentagon has also been given authority to target leaders of Al Shabab, a terrorist group affiliated with Al Qaeda, according to The New York Times.

The people spoke with CNBC on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss nonpublic data. CNN+ launched on March 29. The subscription news streaming service, which charges $5.99 a month or $59.99 annually, only became available on Roku on Monday and still isn’t on Android TV. Still, the paltry audience casts doubt on the future of the application following the recently completed combination of Discovery and WarnerMedia into Warner Bros. Discovery.

A federal judge rejected a new trial for Ghislaine Maxwell, who argued her sex trafficking case was tainted after it was revealed that one juror did not disclose he was a victim of child sex abuse. Judge Alison Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York upheld Maxwell's conviction in a decision Friday. "His failure to disclose his prior sexual abuse during the jury selection process was highly unfortunate, but not deliberate," Nathan wrote. "The Court further concludes that Juror 50 harbored no bias toward the Defendant and could serve as a fair and impartial juror."

U.S. Navy officials have said a warship can’t be deployed because its commander has refused the COVID-19 vaccine. The service said an East Coast guided-missile destroyer is “out of commission” after a Florida federal judge ruled that the Navy and Marine Corps cannot remove its officer for being unvaccinated against COVID-19. The warship now remains docked in Norfolk, Virginia. It comes after U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday, a George H. W. Bush nominee, ruled on Feb. 2 to bar Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and all other military officials from taking punitive action against the unnamed Navy officer, who sought religious exemptions to the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Since my foray into politics, I have come to understand that our system comprises insiders and outsiders and that Donald Trump was the consummate outsider. He was opposed by the system on both sides of the political aisle. Admittedly, I counted myself amongst the opposition. It was only when faced with a choice of yet another Clinton, whom we were told held a 95% chance of victory, that I felt a throw-away vote for Trump was in order. To my surprise, the b@st@rd actually won. He wasn’t supposed to win.

If Democrats could pull off an upset in Utah, it would have profound consequences for the control of the Senate — and the rest of the country. Republican senators are growing concerned by colleague Mitt Romney’s refusal to help fellow Utah Republican Mike Lee decisively win his re-election campaign — a posture that could potentially keep their party from gaining a majority in the November elections. Unlike every other Republican senator, the 2012 failed Republican presidential candidate is declining to express a preference in Republican Lee’s re-election effort against Democrat-endorsed Evan McMullin.

President Biden once again shirked any responsibility for skyrocketing gas prices and instead demanded that gas stations cut prices at the pump for drivers despite their costs to stay in business being dictated by the market. Taxation and crushing regulation as well as progressive policies have a lot to do with it. It’s almost as if Biden and the left want to drive gas stations out of business. Sen. Joe Manchin’s humiliation was brought to completion on Tuesday after his Democrat-negotiated permitting reform deal officially fell through. Per RedState’s previous reporting, Manchin stabbed Republicans in the back during the summer, waiting until the CHIPS Act passed before doing an about-face on a big-spending reconciliation bill full of “climate change” payoffs. The West Virginia senator had supposedly struck a deal whereby he would pass the falsely named Inflation Reduction Act in exchange for Democrat support for permitting reform for oil and gas projects.

The study found that “gender-affirming top surgery is associated with significant improvement in chest dysphoria, gender congruence and body image in transmasculine and nonbinary teens and young adults,” according to a press release
