New rumors are floating around about who could potentially be a running mate for former President Donald Trump should he finally announce his candidacy for the White House and cinch the GOP nomination. (Snip)
Folks have been wanting to see a ticket featuring Trump and Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, which, I fully admit, would be awesome, but there’s another individual (Snip)
According to the Conservative Brief, a series of recent reports have focused in on New York Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik as a potential political partner for Trump. Rep. Mark Pocan, a Wisconsin Democrat, is pushing legislation that would establish a national museum of American LGBTQ+ History and Culture in the nation’s capital. The lawmaker has filed bills that would establish a commission to study the potential creation of the museum and house it within the Smithsonian Institution. The eight-member commission would have 18 months to study the viability of creating and constructing the museum in Washington. Mr. Pocan, who is gay, said the LGBT community must be able to tell its stories.
“As our community faces unprecedented attacks and attempts to erase our history, we must preserve and protect our stories for future generations,”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Friday spoke about illegal immigrants and claimed Florida farmers needed them to pick crops, but her remarks drew much criticism.
While speaking during a press conference, she did note the U.S. needed to secure the border, according to the New York Post.
“Right now, the best thing that we can do for our economy is to have comprehensive immigration reform,” Pelosi said: (Tweet/Video) “We have a shortage of workers in our country and you see even in Florida some of the farmers and the growers saying, ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up north?

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a law Friday that will decriminalize jaywalking across California, ending the familiar practice of police handing out tickets to pedestrians on the argument that the law is enforced more often against minorities than other people. The new law, AB 2147, known as the “Freedom to Walk Act,” could bring an end to a cultural difference that has marked otherwise libertine Californians as being uniquely deferential to laws governing pedestrian traffic. The difference between Californians, who ostensibly tend to obey “don’t walk” signals, and urban dwellers elsewhere in the country, who are notoriously defiant when it comes to crossing against traffic signals, was lampooned

BIirmingham, Alabama – Long-time Democratic political consultant James Carville says some wild things in American politics could be coming over the next two years.
During a talk, part of Alabama-based PARCA’s Speaker Series, held at the Red Mountain Theatre in Birmingham, Carville said he did not expect former President Donald Trump nor President Joe Biden to be on the 2024 presidential election ballot. “I don’t think Trump or Biden will be on the ballot in 2024,” he said. “I’m going to be 78 in less than a month. The country needs a generational change. I think they’re going to get it.”

WASHINGTON — Republicans are abandoning their long crusade to repeal the Affordable Care Act, making the 2022 election the first in more than a decade that won’t be fought over whether to protect or undo President Barack Obama’s signature achievement.
The diminished appetite for repeal means the law — which has extended health care coverage to millions of people and survived numerous near-death experiences in Congress and the courts — now appears safer than ever.
With slightly more than a month before the next election, Republicans in Congress and on the campaign trail aren’t making an issue of Obamacare.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is still missing Trump administration records that it sought after the former president's term ended, the agency said in a letter on Friday. 'The National Archives has confirmed to the Oversight Committee that they still have not received all presidential records from the Trump White House,' Acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall said. Wall said the Department of Justice (DOJ) would be consulted about whether 'to initiate an action for the recovery of records unlawfully removed' by White House officials. Further information about what action could be taken remains unclear, but the DoJ's warning raises the specter of another potential raid

It shouldn’t be shocking anymore to hear a woke political figure claim that men are capable of getting pregnant.
Actually, it has become a common, yet not true, statement to hear. Unfortunately, this is what America has come to.
While testifying at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing called on by Democrats to discuss how restricting abortions can harm a woman’s life, a planned Parenthood physician Dr. Bhavik Kumar insisted that men can get pregnant and have babies.
“Men can have pregnancies, especially trans men,” Kumar claimed, answering a question asked by Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) asking if he believed biological men can get pregnant.

Vladimir Putin is a bad guy. Vladimir Putin is a megalomaniac. Vladimir Putin is a criminal. All those things are true. Similarly, Adolf Hitler was a bad guy, a megalomaniac, and a criminal. But Vladimir Putin is not Adolf Hitler and Russia in 2022 is not Germany in 1938/39. But in both cases, the future of the world hung on / hangs in the balance. But maybe not in the way you think....
Much of the western world was already engaged in war in December 1941 when the United States joined the fight. Most of Europe and much of North Africa were under the boot of the Nazis.

German Federal Economy Minister Robert Habeck expressed concern over the looming energy crisis this winter, telling German media that the situation was extremely tense and there is a possibility that Germany may run out of gas. Habeck spoke on Friday, appealing to Germans to reduce their consumption of natural gas ahead of this winter a day after the German government launched a new price break programme to help Germans with the rising costs of energy. The new price break policy will cover 80 per cent of regular consumption in a bid to try and get Germans to use less gas and make the scenario of shortages less likely.

Should federal hurricane recovery aid be handed out based on need or based the race of the recipient?
According to Kamala Harris, the answer is 'race,' and here's the proof: Vice President Kamala Harris said Friday that aid distributed in the wake of natural disasters like Hurricane Ian should be “based on equity.”
“It is our lowest-income communities and communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues not of their own making—” Harris said before being interrupted by Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Sen. Lindsey Graham is urging Joe Biden to consider a nuclear attack on Ukraine as an attack on NATO — even though they are not a member of the alliance.
Graham, who has seemingly never met a war he didn’t like, called for the US to do more to defend Ukraine during an interview on Fox News. "Sir, I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask you about world events and a lot going on in Russia. Now you’ve got Vladimir Putin and it’s in four different regions now in Ukraine. I want to just play this soundbite from the president a bit earlier and then get you
