The Washington Post handed down four "Pinocchios" to Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., for her claim warning of the "end" Social Security and Medicare if Republicans take control of Congress. Murray, who is fighting in a tightening reelection battle against GOP challenger Tiffany Smiley, tweeted on Sunday, "Republicans plan to end Social Security and Medicare if they take back the Senate."
Glenn Kessler, the Post's fact-checker, characterized Murray's tweet as a "'Mediscare' attack" to win over senior voters.
"Don’t worry, seniors: There is no such plan," Kessler assured elderly readers.

For Demon-Rats, the ends always justify the means. Lie, cheat, steal, even kill -- it's all OK as long as it leads to power for the Demon-Rats!!!!
She knew this was a lie. But it's a lot easier to lie and fool the sheeple, and eventually say "oops" when the damage has already been done and the truth doesn't matter anymore.

Patty Murray is struggling in her reelection campaign. She's grasping a straws. Tiffany Smiley is a real firecracker and she's going to bring in a surprise Republican Senate seat win that the pundits will never see coming. She's wiping the floor with Patty Murray. The "Mom in Tennis Shoes" was swept into the Senate back in 1992's historic "Year of the Woman". She has been a reliable dim-bulb donkette back-bencher for 30 years and has done nothing for Washington State. Tiffany is running a campaign along the same lines as Lake in Arizona, but on a shoestring budget. The polls show her within 2% of Murray. Her last repub challenger was 25 points behind. Murray has never had a challenger breathing down her neck like Smiley. Patty is desperate. Patty is going down. So sad...too bad.

It would have helped if Scott had kept his mouth shut until after the election.

I can only wish, but the Republicans aren’t going to do anything. I would gladly waive any future claim to any/all of the money I’ve paid into SS and MC for decades now, if I could be allowed to opt out of ever paying another penny into them.

Patty forgot an important political rule. You cannot coast forever. Gravy train is over, Patty. Pack up your tennis shoes and go home to "spend more time with your family".

Dems lie, and distort every campaign year. In Michigan, the dems are saying the same thing against GOP opponents. It's so dumb, scare campaign, because they've got nothing. No positive successes, nothing good to report.

The media is starting to realize that there is a limit to the insanity the liberals have been gushing and perhaps an accountability coming that the media is trying to dodge.

Yes, Being number 3 in line for the presidency she has done so much for the great state of Washington. Murray has made WA the laughing stock of the country. The number of business that have left the state due to crime, sanctuary cities, real estate values and why mention any other failures. The Democratic mob that have ruled the state will keep her in position until eternity prevails.

I’ve been represented by Patty Moron (aka “Jester of the US Senate”) since she was elected. This will be the last year I vote in Washington State’s bogus all mail-in ballots. Once again I’ll be voting for anyone but her!

Yeah, the Dems are using this campaign lie here in Texas, too. I don't pay attention to the ads enough to know who is being targeted, but in it a man with a bit of an Hispanic accent is complaining that the candidate is going to "take they have worked hard for", then mentions medicare.
(Do people "work for" medicare? I thought it was forced upon us.)

These claims are rife in Wisconsin Senate race advertising that runs ad infinitum. It's not the Barnes campaign that accuses Sen. Ron Johnson...it's some PAC to provide the message while providing deniability.

They say you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, looks like it is the same with Democrats who before every election trot out their old fable for the consumption by their low information base that the wimpy Republicans are going to destroy Social Security and Medicaid once they win an upcoming election. In the past, after the wimpy Republicans still have managed to win those elections they ever make a move to actually destroy Social Security or Medicaid.
