Watch: New York AG Twists the Knife Into
Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon was arrested on Thursday on money laundering and conspiracy charges stemming from a fundraising scheme to build a wall on the Southern border. Bannon, who is the self-proclaimed leader of the “MAGA grassroots movement,” surrendered himself in New York City to prosecutors following the indictment. Apparently, New York AG Letecia James wasn’t satisfied, though. Later in the day, after Bannon had turned himself in, he was put in chains and perp walked down a long line of prepositioned media for his arraignment.Forgive me for not giving James, who has shown herself to be a partisan hack over the years, the benefit of the doubt here. Everything about this appears

Yes, innocent until proven guilty, and no need to show off your _POLITICAL_PRISONER_! Additionally, I agree with what's good for Republicans should be good for Democrats, and I dare say there's a lot more Democrat grist for the Republican mill than there is Republican grist for the Democrat mill. Finally, if it takes mutually assured destruction, then Let loose the Dogs of War!

It's a sad day when an innocent defendant has to turn himself in to a legitimately criminal prosecutor. Where are the Republicans? They should take a few pointers from the Democrats in regards to supporting their own kind.

…After Mr. Bannon turned himself in. Just appalling conduct by the NY AG. Democrats are a criminal cult masquerading as a political party. Goes without saying that Democrats appoint and elect men and women immune to grace, reason, common decency and the spirit of the law. Bourgeois notions of basic right and wrong, and application of the Golden Rule are— to Leftists (read: Democrats)— laughable. My hope is their reflexive corruption, intransigent hatred for basic morality, and dishonesty will take the Democrat party the way of the Whigs. Postscript, it’s hard to believe the electorate is so ignorant and foolish as to keep voting Democrats into power. The Republicans aren’t much better, but many are appreciably different. The President and his family, the Speaker, every Blue City mayor and governor and Soros-appointed DA— all just appalling. Doesn’t take much research to reveal it.

This is nothing. Wait until they indict President Trump. You know it’s coming. Democrats must crush any opposition and these two men represent that in spades. They want President Trump paraded just as they have done Steve Bannon. However, they better be careful what they wish for because they have pushed us to the breaking point and an act of pure vindictive revenge may start something they cannot control. Our Republic is hanging by a thread and these heinous democrats have the scissors and are determined to use them. This is a dangerous game they are playing and democrats know it. In fact, I believe they want violence. Fascists love to put down “dissenters”. They just need justification and are prepared to create it.

Not a lawyer here, but it seems that this would be evidence of animus on the part of the DA or prosecutor that could be used on appeal. Of course, the appeal would go to a NY judge. That is the whole point: do this in NY state court so that the presidential pardon does not apply. Maybe the GOP will win the governor's race and the NY gov can pardon.

America’s institutions are failing her. This! This opening sentence is a fun example of said failure: A journalist with the Associated Press would not have been allowed to write it. He would’ve had to rewrite it to omit the use of the word “her,” relying instead on a clunky, sexless alternative. Since the 1970s, the Associated Press has instructed staffers via its Stylebook to avoid using the pronoun “her” when used in reference to "nations, storms or ships." “Use ‘it’ instead,” the Stylebook recommends. America’s institutions are failing it. The wording is inelegant. It’s ugly.

William Russell wasn’t home when the two FBI agents came to his house Wednesday morning, according to sources familiar with the matter. The industry group that sets international standards for credit card companies has decided to create a new code for the purchase of guns and ammo that, while not identifying the exact purchases, will separate those items from the more generic category they had been lumped in with previously. Merchant category codes are made up of four digits and are used across all sorts of industries as a means to classify retailers, while not revealing individual product purchases. Credit card companies currently lump firearm retailers in with other outlets, classifying them as either “5999: Miscellaneous retail stores” or “5941: Sporting Goods Stores.”

Florida Republicans are continuing to grow their advantage over Democrats in the Sunshine State, now besting them by over 260,000 voters statewide, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced on Tuesday. Speaking from Fort Myers this week, DeSantis highlighted the shift the Sunshine State has experienced in terms of voter registration in the last few years. Roughly four years ago, when DeSantis was running for governor against Andrew Gillum, “there were like 275,000 more Democrats than Republicans in the state of Florida,” the governor said, noting that Florida never had more registered Republicans than Democrats in the state’s history. The firearms maker on Thursday had reported net sales to $84.4 million for its fiscal first quarter, a decrease of 69% from the same time last year. Smith & Wesson Chief Executive Officer Mark Smith blamed the "challenging" quarter on the return to normal demand levels and the company needing to correct inventory levels. North Korea has passed a new law declaring itself a nuclear weapons state in a move leader Kim Jong Un says is "irreversible." Kim vowed the country would "never give up" its nuclear weapons and said there could be no negotiations on denuclearization as he hailed the passage of the law, North Korean state media reported Friday. The new law also enshrines Pyongyang's right to use preemptive nuclear strikes to protect itself -- updating a previous stance under which it had said it would keep its weapons only until other countries denuclearized and would not use them preemptively against non-nuclear states.

To try and head off a likely loss of the House of Representatives and prepare for the next presidential election, Democrats create situations which raise anxiety in citizens, and this increases the chances their candidate will prevail because voters know discord will then subside.
