While President Biden warned the nation about threats to democracy in a prime time address on Thursday, ABC was airing a game show, “Press Your Luck.” As Biden spelled out his objections to former president Donald Trump and “MAGA Republicans,” NBC was broadcasting a rerun of “Law and Order.” CBS skipped the speech to show a rerun of “Young Sheldon.” The networks’ rejection of Biden’s speech — delivered in front of Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, washed in dramatic red lighting as Marines stood guard — marked an unusual moment in the long relationship between the White House and the nation’s most

The media decided the best way to protect Biden was to keep his speech under wraps.

He looked demonic and unhinged. Alzheimer's can totally change a person's personality by enhancing a specific trait or by eliminating that trait or giving them a totally new trait (we have all heard about the preacher who now cusses like a sailor), If that trait is enhanced let's hope it's a good one. In FJB's case is isn't. He has been a mean and angry jerk for a long time and it certainly showed in spades during the "political campaign speech attacking half the country because we have the balls to disagree with him". Note to the Republicans. Get off your asshats and it's time to attack FJB. There is so much video evidence that a high school journalism class could throw together a better plan than what you have put forward so far. They want this to be about Trump. "Are you better off today than you were just two years ago" and run with it.

He looked hateful and angry. Why? What did his people hope to accomplish with the red gothic look? What in the world were they trying to convey? Was this supposed to impress people? Only saw a few minutes of it online. It was awful, and that was why the networks did not air it. Did Biden really think people were going to confront family and friends for being Trump supporters? That's just nuts.

Earlier this summer, when everything seemed to be going wrong for President Biden — his economic agenda appeared all but dead, gas prices were rising and some Democrats felt he failed to meet the moment after the Supreme Court overturned federal abortion rights — many Democrats were speaking privately of wanting a new party leader in 2024. Biden may not have faced explicit primary threats, but a handful of younger Democrats whose profile was rising seemed to be holding themselves out as more passionate, forceful leaders for the party, as governors like Gavin Newsom of California and J.B. The buyout program would be open to all of the brand's 2,000 U.S. dealers, according to spokeswoman Michelle Malcho. Dealers who accept the buyout still would be able to sell other GM brands, as the program applies only to the Buick franchise. Malcho said the brand does not have a target

Whenever political leaders lose all political capital due to their misgovernance and have no real issues to base their campaign on, they often resort to focusing on the symbolic — usually referring to "the soul of the nation." This happened before in the U.S., it happened in India, it happened in the U.K. and it happened again in the U.S. This is most typical of the left. Instead of being humble and conceding their mistakes, they attack voters for thinking of voting against them while overlooking the myriad catastrophes they presided over. They often blame their opponents for what they are guilty of — bigotry, violence — and then end with the "soul" plea.
