Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom fired shots at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis revealing he will give $100,000 to the Republican governor's midterm opponent in an effort to flip the red seat blue in the November election.
In a tweet posted by Newsom Thursday, the governor pledged the large donation to Rep. Charlie Crist, D-Fla., who recently won the Florida gubernatorial Democratic primary and advanced to the midterms where he will face DeSantis.
Newsom, who is also running for re-election this fall, made his objective with the donation clear. "Time to make Ron DeSantis a one-term governor," Newsom said.

It is not just that Florida is red. They are very MAGA motivated and loving their MAGA Governor “RED.” Crust’s unbelievably foolish comments will not get him anywhere close to a win.

Most likely California tax dollars or illegal donations. He fears Desantis.

Newsom is positioning himself to replace Brandon. His visit to the White House when Brandon was out of the country was creepy. A California liberal won’t sell in fly over country. Probably have to steal it again.

Florida has obviously and undeniably prospered under DeSantis, especially being protected from much of the Wuhan Dem-panic insanity.
It seems unlikely that tired old "I'm a Republican, I'm and Independent, I'm a Democrat now" sad sack Crist, with a history of failure in the state will make much headway against DeSantis.
The fraud in south Florida is likely to be dialed way up, since most there actually are New Yorkers, not Floridians, but let's hope that they can't cheat enough to win.

This is a joke. Newsome, here’s some advice for free: pay attention to your own state. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

We have too much outsiders interfering in our elections. Soros, Zuckerbucks, now Newsom. We need a law that limits funding per person to $3,000, and zero from people not in the voting jurisdiction.

Political posturing and positioning in a cynical effort to raise his own national profile as a viable contender for 2024. Or maybe distracting attention from his tightening Socialist dictatorship in California.

Well THAT'S a big waste of $100,000. Oh wait, that's California tax payer money. Or does California just print the money it needs like the Feds?

Hey, Gruesome, I thought Florida was one of those states that where California funds are NOT to be spent. You are supposed to be boycotting that anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ state.
So how does sending $100K to Charlie Christ in FLORIDA fit your boycott?
Governor Brylcreem is such a hypocritical loser.

They don’t even try to hide it anymore. Since when does a CA Gov care what happens in FL? The contrast between the 2 states couldn’t be more obvious. Apparently Newsome knows he is inferior so he has to get rid of DeSantis before his leftist supporters notice, too.

Personal attacks by one governor against another are new, as far as I can recall.
There have been governors from adjoining states in disputes over border locations, water rights, and the like, but no personal attacks that I can remember.
This is pretty stupid.
