As part of their response to the Supreme Court’s (SCOTUS) ruling in NYSRPA v. Bruen, New York Democrats secured legislation making Times Square a gun-free zone, even barring concealed carry permit holders from carrying for self-defense. On June 23 Breitbart News reported SCOTUS’s Bruen ruling, which struck down New York’s proper cause requirement for concealed carry. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and the state’s Democrat-run legislature responded by enacting numerous new gun controls, including a list of “sensitive” areas where the carrying of guns would be prohibited.

True the Vote leaders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips were taken into custody by US Marshalls on Monday for refusing to identify a confidential informant to a judge.
Federal Judge Kenneth Hoyt found both of them in contempt of court after they declined to out the informant, according to independent journalist Ivory Hecker.
The judge informed them they would face jail time if they did not comply with the terms of a court order by Monday at 9 am.
“I expect both defendants to be present,” Hoyt asserted.
The judge ordered that Engelbrecht and Phillips be held in custody for at least 24 hours or until they give up the informant,

Trump asked the high court to block the House Ways and Means Committee from uncovering his tax returns. The committee has sought the former president's tax records since 2019 while he was still in office.

President Joe Biden on Saturday again tried to blame Republicans for the attack on Paul Pelosi on Friday.
“You can’t condemn the violence unless you condemn those people who continue to argue the election was not real, that it’s being stolen, that all the malarkey that’s being put out there to undermine democracy,” he said.
