Pope Francis said in an interview Tuesday that President Joe Biden's claims to be a faithful Catholic are "incoherent" because he publicly advocates for abortion. (snip) The Pope said in the interview with Mexican journalists from Televisa Univisión that from both a spiritual and a scientific point of view, life begins at conception, and anyone who denies that cannot coherently call himself a Catholic at the same time. He said that unborn children deserve the dignity of life (via Catholic News Agency): (snip) As for the defense of abortion by the U.S. president, Pope Francis stated that he leaves it to Biden’s "conscience.”

The Minnesota Army National Guard paid tens of thousands of dollars to advertise in an LGBT publication that has promoted transgenderism and "queer" identities among children.
The National Guard, which operates through the Department of Defense, between 2019 and 2022 awarded $76,951 to Minneapolis-based Lavender magazine, paying for advertising campaigns in an effort to "reach the LGBTQ community" and "lend credibility to the National Guard." Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday.
Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs.
Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important."
"In any event, this is an issue the forced-birth crowd should care about."

Speaking virtually to attendees at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives conference in Orlando, Florida, Biden said that Republicans who refused to ban so-called “weapons of war” are not telling the truth when they claim to support law enforcement. In particular, Biden called out Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott (R-FL) for refusing to support Democrats’ gun control efforts.

Asked if he could go back to March of 2020 and start over with the pandemic response, Dr. Fauci admitted that mistakes were made in his and the CDC's response to COVID's initial spread but refused blame for collateral damage caused by public health officials. What he did admit? That masking and social distancing restrictions should have been "much, much more stringent" than they were.
