An 18-year-old Florida man has been arrested for “threatening to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism.” Corey Anderson, 18, of Lutz, had posted images of himself with what appeared to be a handgun, a rifle, and a tactical style vest — along with the caption “Hey Siri, directions to the nearest school.” He was arrested at his home on Sunday after someone called in a tip to law enforcement. After further investigation, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office determined the handgun and rifle were “airsoft guns,” according to a press release.

MAKE.AN.EXAMPLE.OF.HIM. I'm not saying execute him or give him a life sentence for an un-carried out threat but a slap on the wrist is neither a real punishment nor a deterrent to the next angry adolescent with a gun.

He typifies “a young skull full of mush” — (RIP Rush), who have zero achievements and whom nobody pays attention to because he is a total loser, a non-entity. At the same time, there is the scary mal-wired genius type who can make bombs, thanks to his advanced chemistry class. I know, believe me, I met him. If the authorities were as effective with the mentally ill, the truly dangerous already in their system, if they kept their databases current and enforced their laws with the gusto they use for garage door pulls and kids with Airsoft toys - it would have saved a lot of lives. The cops finally found the courage to come out of hiding and do something... as soon as they saw the legally required orange plastic tip.

Wrong State to try this kind of Threat! Florida takes Guns seriously. Lots of CC in this State. You never know if the guy standing next to you in the Grocery Line has a Gun, or the Guy or Gal at the Movies OR EVEN when you approach a School with a Pretend Gun. It could get you killed in a Nano Second! This guy is going to be in a world of hurt. Probably will be sent to Mental Health for evaluation. Parents should get involved and he should be sent to Juvie! Anyone under 18 who writes threats to shoot up Anywhere, should be off Social Media for good, should be evaluated and the PARENTS should be held accountable as their CHILD is their responsibility. If he has a real gun, find out where he got it! A lot of these kids have parents who haven't a clue what their Kid in doing and really don't care as long as he stays out of their Hair!!

#8; I respectfully disagree. Police departments can't decide if it's a real threat or a hoax. They have to respond. That may mean locking down schools and readying SWAT teams. In the worst case, an innocent may be shot by someone mistaking them for a gunman.

See how it just rolls off the tongue?) On top of everything else, an appeals court judge has upheld DeSantis’ redistricting maps against an effort to strike to it down and replace them with one drawn by a Harvard professor.

As we reported earlier, Michael Sussmann was found not guilty of lying to the FBI, despite the evidence that he was working for the Clinton campaign and that he told FBI General Counsel James Baker that he was not working for any client. That raised questions as to how, given the evidence, you get a not guilty verdict in this case? Now, part of the issue may have been judicial rulings that hindered Special Counsel John Durham’s case to some degree, as I noted. The other part may have been you likely started out with an unfavorable jury, to begin with, in D.C., but then, in this case, you also seemed

Students, depending on their race, will not be held accountable for missing class, misbehaving in school, or for failing to turn in assignments. Washington—A federal jury on Tuesday found former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann not guilty of lying to the FBI — finding special counsel John Durham did not prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt. The verdict by a jury in heavily Democratic-leaning DC, came midway through the second day of deliberations following a two-week trial on a single count of making false statements to a federal agent. Durham’s prosecution team unsuccessfully sought to prove that Sussmann deliberately lied to then-FBI general counsel James Baker by claiming not to be acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and an internet executive when the two met in 2016.

George Will’s recent column reviewing the first 500 days of the Biden presidency includes praise for the president’s “deft diplomacy” and “stunning achievement” in the administration’s response to Ukraine. According to Will, Biden’s diplomacy is substantially responsible for nudging Germany to play a larger geopolitical role and persuading Finland to join NATO, thus extending the alliance’s reach to more than 800 miles of Russia’s border. Biden, he writes, has revised the concept of the West, but Will writes that Biden’s achievement will not earn him political dividends because “what Americans usually want in foreign policy is as little as possible.”
