Chicago High School to Implement Race-Based
Grading System

A high school in a Chicago is implementing a race-based grading system “to adjust classroom grading scales to account for skin color or ethnicity of its students.” The move is necessary, advocates say, because “traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities,” a slide used in a presentation said. Students, depending on their race, will not be held accountable for missing class, misbehaving in school, or for failing to turn in assignments. (snip) “Teachers may unintentionally let non-academic factors—like student behavior or whether a student showed up to virtual class—interfere with their final evaluation of students,” Sullivan said.

Like "defining deviancy down," it looks like these foolish and silly people are defining education down. This is yet another terrible disservice to children who are already facing diminished expectation of their abilities. Here's my idea of what must be done: schools must be safe --for children AND for teachers; and schools must be clean. Students must be able to get to and from school safely. Maybe simplistic, but provide a clean, safe environment in which to learn, and provide safety for the children so that their school day has a major stressor eliminated. Lastly, get good teachers, who may be more apt to want teaching positions in schools that are now safe for them, too.

The legacy of low expectations continues for Black students. They continue to be held to lower standards than the other students because they are worth less than the others.

So a whole new crop of honor roll students, perceived by the other homies a threat or a problem. It doesn't matter if the "smart" kids aren't, they'll move on to the work force where they'll be propped up by the system, covered for and earning so much more than they're worth. Unless you count the right boxes being checked. Win-win-win. For those left behind, they were always going to be a problem no matter what.

It's not just Chicago, #23, but they are the first to openly admit it. Many schools don't like the image of seating 14-year-olds in the third grade. I have a question, if they are given firearms instruction in school, do they earn a letter grade or is it Pass/Fail? Judging from weekly shooting statistics they aren't doing so well with that class either.

California is set to release its highly-anticipated report on reparations on Wednesday, concluding the work of a statewide “task force” dedicated to discovering so-called “systemic racism” in the state and determining methods for redistributing wealth to black residents. According to the Associated Press, the report is set to include such propositions as expanding voter registration, further restrictions on police and harsher punishments for individual officers, and making improvements to black neighborhoods. It will also recommend the creation of a new office that would help black Californians prove their lineage to determine if they were descended from slaves, at which point they would be eligible for financial compensation.

Kevin Clinesmith must feel like an idiot for pleading guilty without a trial after a D.C.-area jury acquitted Clinton co-conspirator Michael Sussman for his role in the plot to frame Donald Trump for colluding with the Russians, supposedly to steal the 2016 election. Sussman’s D.C.-based jury which featured partisan Democrat donors rendered a quick “not-guilty” verdict. While the Left undoubtedly sees the acquittal as another “lawfare” victory against the bad orange man, that victory did not come without cost to its enabling allies. First, the acquittal further reinforces the impression of a two-tiered justice system in which the politics and privilege of the accused determine the outcome.
