Arrival of Over 33,000 Migrants Leaves
Ireland ‘Struggling’ to Find Doctors

A recent surge of migrants in Ireland has left authorities in the country struggling to find doctors to treat new arrivals. Doctors are now the latest resource to be in short supply within the Irish state, with senior officials now admitting that they are “struggling” to find medical professionals to treat some of the tens of thousands of migrants who have arrived in the country this year.(Snip)Despite this, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of politicians hitting the brakes on the project, with new data showing that over 33,000 social security numbers have been given out to migrants ostensibly coming from Ukraine as of May 22.

Comments:

The whole point is to risk the country’s social cohesion, silly. That and to break the bank. But didn't your politicians look wonderful onstage when announcing that you'd welcome as many refugees as possible, including a generous share of men of fighting age along with various non-Ukrainian nationals in the mix?

And I'll bet that most will be Muslims on welfare, destroying the country as rapidly as they can. Permitting them to enter the country is literal national suicide.

My Irish friend just had quadruple bypass surgery. He is still in ICU in Cork but doing OK. I just hope his care is good....they have some kind of national health care in Ireland.

Visited my mother's and father's homesteads in Ireland twenty years ago. Gift from my children. Son and middle daughter came with me. Both homes still in tack though empty. What I loved about Ireland (first and last trip) was the Irishness of it all. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Both family and strangers. Whether it was to give directions or suggest a restaurant, always with a smile and some underlying joke which we both sort of understood. Even the food was quite good. Visited Dublin and the University. Bought things to bring home which I still have. The kind of place where we were not afraid to walk out at night and people did not lock their doors. And always the appreciation of the faith. Glad I went. Don't particularly want to return. I am sure it is unrecognizable.

It's simple. Just do like here in America. Pull the doctors away from your Vets' care to take care of the illegals and move the Vets back to the end of the line..

They imply that they are from Ukraine....but then say many men from 20 to 59 who are not Ukrainian. If the majority are Ukrainian, they will at least be Christians and good workers. It's the refugees from the Middle East who are the biggest headaches with severe cultural and work ethic issues. I have three friends from Ukraine who are now living in Germany. One is a research scientist who has found a job with a German university and the other two are an engineer and her college student daughter in Munich trying to figure out how to make a living. The research scientist was out of touch from January until a couple of days ago, and I had sent emails several times. Glad to finally know she is safe. The one at the University was in Kyiv, and said she drove her car over 2000 km from home to Poland and then on to Germany....she said the farthest that she had ever driven, to get to the new job. Her husband has remained in Kyiv, I imagine is working with the army, or fighting. 2000 km is about 1200 miles, which is a very long way in Europe.

As Americans across the US struggle to find infant formula, President Biden claimed Wednesday he was unaware of the problem until early April—months after the closure of a Michigan factory triggered the crisis. Biden made the stunning admission following a virtual meeting with major formula manufacturers on the same day the Wall Street Journal, citing research firm IRI, reported that 23% of powdered baby formula was out of stock during the week ending May 22, compared with a 21% out-of-stock rate during the previous week. The normal out-of-stock range prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the outlet, was between 5% and 7%.

The U.S. has added more than 2 million immigrants to its population since President Biden took office in 2021, the vast majority of them here illegally, according to a new report Wednesday that says most of the newcomers are arriving illegally. The surge is so overwhelming that it’s pushed up the projected point at which the U.S. will have its largest-ever share of immigrants, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. At the current pace of growth, 14.9% of residents will be immigrants as of sometime next year, topping the record set around the turn of the 20th century. A teacher did not, as previously stated, leave a door propped open with a rock during the massacre at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, last week, but closed it before the attacks began–only for the door to not automatically lock, Texas state investigators said. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says she made a mistake last year in predicting that inflation would be minimal or manageable. “I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take,” Ms. Yellen told CNN on Tuesday. A once-promising fight against COVID-19 took a downward turn in mid-2021 as variants surged and producers struggled to shake off the pandemic and meet the demand for products. People who saved money or received federal payments continued to spend on goods instead of services, trips, conferences and other events, exacerbating the problem. As we reported earlier, Michael Sussmann was found not guilty of lying to the FBI, despite the evidence that he was working for the Clinton campaign and that he told FBI General Counsel James Baker that he was not working for any client. That raised questions as to how, given the evidence, you get a not guilty verdict in this case? Now, part of the issue may have been judicial rulings that hindered Special Counsel John Durham’s case to some degree, as I noted. The other part may have been you likely started out with an unfavorable jury, to begin with, in D.C., but then, in this case, you also seemed

Washington—A federal jury on Tuesday found former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann not guilty of lying to the FBI — finding special counsel John Durham did not prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt. The verdict by a jury in heavily Democratic-leaning DC, came midway through the second day of deliberations following a two-week trial on a single count of making false statements to a federal agent. Durham’s prosecution team unsuccessfully sought to prove that Sussmann deliberately lied to then-FBI general counsel James Baker by claiming not to be acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and an internet executive when the two met in 2016.

George Will’s recent column reviewing the first 500 days of the Biden presidency includes praise for the president’s “deft diplomacy” and “stunning achievement” in the administration’s response to Ukraine. According to Will, Biden’s diplomacy is substantially responsible for nudging Germany to play a larger geopolitical role and persuading Finland to join NATO, thus extending the alliance’s reach to more than 800 miles of Russia’s border. Biden, he writes, has revised the concept of the West, but Will writes that Biden’s achievement will not earn him political dividends because “what Americans usually want in foreign policy is as little as possible.”
