As baby formula shortage worsens, Biden
admits he was in dark for months after
plant closure

As Americans across the US struggle to find infant formula, President Biden claimed Wednesday he was unaware of the problem until early April—months after the closure of a Michigan factory triggered the crisis. Biden made the stunning admission following a virtual meeting with major formula manufacturers on the same day the Wall Street Journal, citing research firm IRI, reported that 23% of powdered baby formula was out of stock during the week ending May 22, compared with a 21% out-of-stock rate during the previous week. The normal out-of-stock range prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the outlet, was between 5% and 7%.

Comments:

Why would anyone bother to consult with "the president" on any matter of importance? He's a hollow husk, and no one is to blame.

FTA: During the conference, Robert Cleveland, a senior vice president at No. 2 US formula manufacturer Reckitt, told Biden 'we knew from the very beginning' that a Feb. 17 Michigan factory closure by No.1 manufacturer Abbott would cause formula shortages. The plant initially closed in February after two infant deaths were believed to be linked to bacterial contamination at the plant, but an investigation failed to confirm a link, authorities said."

A nephew's wife had a baby just today, and I asked about formula. She is nursing, says her milk is nearly enough already, but supplementing with some pre-bought formula, expects to be 100% mother's milk in a day or two. I told her that if there were any supply issues for her, let is know, I'll search our area and ship any I can find. Plus, the old 60s evaporated milk, corn syrup, vitamins and water formula is NOT toxic regardless of the BS in the media, tens of millions of us boomers did just fine on it.

When the federal government, or Biden’s FDA, closes down and keeps shut for months a plant that manufactures over 40% of all the baby formula sold in the USA, it is only common sense that if that percentage of production is not replaced, that there are going to be critical baby formula shortages across the land. The way Biden and his covert leftist Democrat politburo are operating it is anyone’s guess what the next big food shortage will be. A day or so the media said it would be popcorn, but who knows!

Nashville, Tenn.—The CMA Fest is prohibiting any Confederate flag imagery at its four-day festival, following similar bans at other country music festivals. In a statement provided to The Tennessean, the Country Music Association said the decision to enact the policy this year was based on the personal safety of fans and to prevent discrimination. “This year’s CMA Fest is our first major fan-facing event in nearly three years. We have always had policies in place that protect the safety of our fans and ban discrimination, but we felt it was important to further refine our language to explicitly outline what will and will not be tolerated,”

The federal government will review whether the Food and Drug Administration properly inspected the Abbott Laboratories baby formula plant in Michigan whose closure over unsanitary conditions caused a nationwide shortage that left the Biden administration unprepared. The Department of Health and Human Services inspector general’s office will conduct the review that is expected to conclude sometime next year, the agency said in a statement Thursday. “We will review FDA’s actions leading up to the infant formula recall at the Abbott facility in February 2022 to determine whether FDA followed applicable policies and procedures to: (1) conduct inspections of the manufacturing facility and (2) oversee Abbott’s initiation of the infant

Dr Ashish Jha, who was recently appointed as the White House's COVID-19 response coordinator, said during a briefing that shots for the youngest eligible Americans could be rolling out in only three weeks. His statements come on the back of Pfizer, manufacturer of America's most popular vaccine and the only one to be available to those aged five to 17 in the U.S., announcing Wednesday night that it has completed its application

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre wouldn't say on Thursday why President Joe Biden wasn't informed about the baby formula shortage until April as she again struggled to answer question about the administration's response to the crisis. Jean-Pierre was quizzed repeatedly during her daily press briefing on what the president knew, when he knew it, and who exactly told him. And she gave evasive answers, saying it was 'senior staff' who went through 'regular channels' to deliver the information. Her lack of details prompted one White House correspondent to warn her that the journalists would keep pressing her for specifics.(Snip)It was the second day in a row

Turkey will now officially be known as Türkiye after the country's government moved to swerve associations with the ground-feeding festive bird and a term for failure. The United Nations will adopt the new name from this week at Ankara's request. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said the change came into place 'from the moment' a letter sent by Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. President Erdogan ruled in November that goods manufactured in the country must now be labelled 'Made in Türkiye'. The alternative spelling expresses Turkish people's 'culture, civilisation and values', he said. Türkiye is pronounced Tur-key-yay, in line with how Turks annunciate the country's name.

The Biden administration has tethered federal school lunch funding to compliance with gender identity ideology, including whether a school allows boys to use girls restrooms and locker rooms. The move comes as the Biden administration is using heavy-handed measures to enshrine gender ideology into federal law. Biden’s Department of Agriculture announced earlier this month that in order for schools to receive funds for student lunches, breakfasts, and other food items, it must comply with its interpretation of the ban on discrimination based on sex in Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and other food-related programs, which includes sexual orientation and gender identity.

The more than 500-page document consists of 13 chapters and breaks down reparation suggestions for the eligible black community in California to compensate for the 'racial terror' they've endured. The task force voted in March to limit reparations to descendants of slaves, overruling reparations advocates who wanted to expand compensation to all black people in the US.

Had President Joe Biden simply plagiarized the successful Trump agenda, there would have followed no border disaster, no energy crisis, no hyperinflation, and no disastrous flight from Afghanistan. Had Biden followed through on his "unity" rhetoric, he could have lorded over Trump's successful record as his own,
