The left's leak of a draft Supreme Court

Politically motivated leaks are no big deal in today’s partisan politics. But something happened today that is utterly unprecedented. A draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked. To my knowledge, this has never happened before. The leak was obviously by either one of the three Justices in the liberal wing of the Court, or one of their 10-12 clerks who have access to the internal deliberations of the Court. It was presumably for the purpose of ginning up a public outcry to pressure one or more of the majority justices to change his or her mind.

It’s fake news to inflame and distract from Biden’s failures. Don’t talk about. Ignore the riots. It’s in DC. Who cares if they burn it down?

I wouldn't rule out Roberts as the source, although I would guess it was Kagan or Sotomayor. Whichever one leaked the gay marriage ruling to the WH years ago so the WH could set up their despicable rainbow light show probably leaked this one also.

I agree with Glenn Beaton: "I doubt the leaker was a clerk. The clerks are very smart people with promising and lucrative careers ahead of them. Big law firms are offering them signing bonuses of several hundred thousand dollars these days. They wouldn’t jeopardize those careers for a political crusade. And I doubt liberal Justices Breyer or Kagan would ever do such a thing – they’re libs with whom I often disagree but they’re also smart and ethical people. "I suspect the other liberal Justice, the one who has publicly and intemperately excoriated the Court from the bench when she’s outvoted. I suspect Justice Sotomayor."

The irony here is that the sainted Ruth Bader Ginsburg, was open about Roe v. Wade. She thought it was a terrible decision, with bad legal reasoning. She believed that the issue of abortion should reside with each state. One could conclude that she would have voted with the majority on this case!

On Easter Sunday, I awoke with the thought that I would go to church, something I seldom do. Not just any church but the one where I grew up. Where the pastor of my youth was an intellectual and spiritual giant, and a very nice guy. Where my parents were members and volunteers for half a century. Where they still reside – their ashes dwell in the adjacent glen. So I looked up the church to find the time of Easter service. Their website was plastered graffiti-like with the phrase, “We are love” in translucent cursive so you could still see the words and pictures of the page.

Joe Biden is cognitively impaired. He gets confused as to where he is, who he is, and what he is. He forgets the names and circumstances around him. He refuses to keep to his teleprompter script, and refuses to recognize how much he should. Truculently and combatively, he blames reporters and calls them “stupid” – even friendly ones – for merely asking good questions to which he has no intelligible answers. If I didn’t despise Biden’s policies, personality, greed, girl-fondling, criminal son, ethics, dishonesty, hair plugs, and ladder-climbing “doctor” wife, I’d feel sorry for him. But I do, and so I don’t.

World War I was no picnic for the Germans. About two million German soldiers were killed and countless others were crippled. The Austro-Hungarian Empire on the side of the Germans lost another million and a half. The loss of life on the side of the Allies was similar, with about two million dead amongst France, UK, Italy and Romania, in that order. The American dead were a fraction of that, a little over 100,000. The Allied country suffering the greatest number of dead was Russia, where life has always been cheap. Two million Russians were killed, matching the combined total of the other Allies.

The world of woke is rife with incorrect assumptions about racial minorities. First is the assumption that racial minorities are criminals. That assumption is wrong. It’s true that a disproportionate amount of crime – especially the violent kind – is committed by racial minorities. That’s true even after normalizing the numbers for the increased poverty level of minorities. I suspect this is due to a familial breakdown caused by many complicated factors. But it’s certainly not true that minorities are all, or even generally, criminals. To the contrary, the great majority of minorities are law-abiding citizens.

Joe Biden seldom talks extemporaneously. He has a teleprompter in front of him, so all he has to do is read aloud. Even at that, however, is too much for him. On his recent trip to Europe, he lacked the focus to simply read what was in front of him. The choreographed show was basically one big photo-op for him to portray himself as a leader, statesman and sentient being. He failed. He insisted on ad-libbing over and over, to the detriment and detriment of himself, Ukraine, America and the world.

Ketanji Brown Jackson made a promise in her Supreme Court confirmation hearing this week before the Senate. KBJ is the person whom biologist Joe Biden assures us is “a black woman” in accordance with his earlier promise to nominate a person of that sex and color as a great act of noblesse oblige for which he, as a non-black non-woman, we think, should be honored in history, especially in view of his dementia. We have to take Joe’s word for all this. Since she’s not a biologist, KBJ herself is unable to confirm that she’s a woman and it’s not clear whether she’s able to confirm that she’s black.

Joe Biden promised that in picking a nominee to fill the upcoming opening on the Supreme Court, he would not consider any white or Hispanic or Asian people and not consider any men at all. He promised to consider only black women. Only about 2% of American lawyers fall into that demographic. In overtly discriminating against the other 98%, Biden committed an obvious violation of the Civil Rights Act, but I rather doubt Biden’s Department of Labor will file suit. True to his promise, Biden found a black woman lawyer to nominate. Her name is Ketanji Brown Jackson. It was Biden who touted his nominee as “a black woman”

I explained a month ago that a Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a disaster for Russia in today’s global economy. Russia would be financially crippled by sanctions and would alienate its European oil and gas customers. Moreover, I explained, the Ukrainians are not defenseless, and would probably put up a spirited fight. The Russians had little to gain in an invasion and much to lose. I confidently concluded that Vladimir Putin was not foolish enough to invade. Events have proved me right in every respect except my conclusion. It turns out that Putin was indeed foolish enough to invade. His invasion has not gone well.

Last August, Joe Biden abandoned Afghanistan to 13th century barbarians. The result was and is an ongoing bloodbath. Getting out of Afghanistan may or may not have been a good move, but the way Biden did it was destructive and disgraceful. Biden’s generals told the press that they recommended to Biden a more orderly approach. Biden denied that. He essentially said his generals are liars. Paradoxically, Biden simultaneously contended that his cut-and-run was “an extraordinary success.” If he believes that, then why doesn’t he say, “Yeah, the generals recommended a more measured withdrawal, but I was smart enough to override them in order to obtain this extraordinary success.”

Joe Biden canceled the Keystone Pipeline on his first day in office. Since then, he’s put a moratorium on numerous American oil and gas projects. The result, naturally, has been less production of inexpensive American oil and gas, more importation of expensive foreign oil and gas, and less abundance of both. This has produced ever-increasing prices at the pump and in your utility bills. The oddity is that all this is political posturing is premised on the absurdity that burning American oil and gas produces greenhouse gas emissions, but burning foreign oil and gas does not. I shouldn’t say this is an oddity. It’s the way

A serious people: *Would not imagine for even a second that the way to reduce crime is to defund the police. *Would not seriously contend that the way to reduce inflation – a natural effect of too much money in circulation chasing too few goods – is to increase even further the amount of money in circulation. *Would not allow biological and even anatomical men to beat women in women’s athletics simply because those men say they feel womanly at the moment.

ROME—Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Pope Francis has floated the idea that he wants to take a trip to Kyiv to try to broker a ceasefire. But now he says he would prefer to go to Moscow to try to talk some sense into Vladimir Putin, who he has not outwardly condemned in the now nearly 3-month-old war and only did so lightly in a lengthy interview with an Italian newspaper. “I feel that before going to Kyiv I must go to Moscow,” he told Corriere Della Sera in an interview that ran on Tuesday. Portland Public Schools plans to provide free menstrual products in both the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms as districts move to comply with an Oregon state law for “menstruating students.” “Starting next year (2022-23), products will be available in all restrooms (male, female, and all-gender) in every PPS building where education occurs,” said the April 19 memo titled “Update on PPS Implementation of Menstrual Dignity Act.” Last year, Democratic Gov. Kate Brown signed HR 3294, which requires K-12 public schools and universities to stock bathrooms with tampons and sanitary pads at no cost to students to give them the “opportunity for safe, dignified self-care.”

Following the unprecedented leak of a Supreme Court initial majority draft opinion to undo Roe v. Wade huge controversies begin to surface! The document, first obtained by Politico, outlined the potential demise of the landmark 1973 ruling. The revelation sent shockwaves across the nation. Protesters gathered at the fenced-off Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Monday night. The leak is likely the product of an ideologically leftist law clerk seeking either to halt a nixing of the abortion ban or to engender support for court-packing, Alan Dershowitz told Fox News.
