I don’t really know anyone that eats at Subway anymore – it offers stale bread, tasteless lunch meats, and soggy vegetables. At least back in the day you could get full for $5, but even now a basic sub runs almost double that. The sinister Covid lockdowns didn’t do much for Subway’s business, either.
Of course, no analysis of Subway’s futile decline would be complete without accounting for their hair-brained hiring of pink-haired ingrate Megan Rapinoe.

Besides the quality of their sandwiches really degrading over the past few years (tasteless meat, in very small portions), I will never support a company -- including Nike/Krapernick -- that uses a traitor as a spokesperson. Go woke, go broke.

Because some corporate idiot stupidly chose a nasty witch as spokesperson doesn't excuse lying about the products at Subway.
I've eaten at Subway for many years, all across the country and his/her (Hailey?) claims are pure BS.
I'll note the author as an unreliable source for future reference.

Subway hurt ma and pa owners in small towns by hiring that POS. I quit going there, and I used to get breakfast sandwiches a couple times a month.

Jimmy Johns , Jersey Mikes , Firehouse Subs for me now! Why would you put a political polarizing figure on an add campaign. Where are these companies getting these advertising people? Does not anybody at the top think with common sense or are they so liberal it’s all about feelings. Hey Subway newsflash. Feelings based decision will bankrupt you! Go Woke Go Broke. Time to wipe out the current board of directors and start over. Advertise this fact and you might having a fighting chance to survive in the waters of such stiff competition.

I never eat food from Subway. The Walmarts nearest me have Subway stores near the entrance. Most of the time when I enter the Walmart, a horrtible, sour smell hits me in the face. It smells like somebody threw up. Yuck!
The fact that they hired this America hater has not further endeared them to me.

We may be nearing the end of the ridiculously stupid CEOs jumping on the woke bandwagon. Wondering how the shareholders feel about the ones who eagerly donated millions to BLM so their con artist leaders could embezzle it to buy private property.

While watching the TV I saw the subway and lo and behold here comes the purple haired American hater. The wife and used to love their egg white sandwich with fresh vegetables for breakfast and their coffee wasn't bad either. No longer. I'll eat elsewhere. Why these corporations hire actors and athletes have the country hates is beyond me. Why don't you guys just hire Hanoi Jane and get it over with?

The problem many companies have is that they are dealing with media companies for advertising and the media companies are mostly liberal. Even if the company buying the ads is not liberal, it is easy for them to get pushed into hiring loud mouths like Rapinoe. Yes the companies should be more aware of the people they are dealing with but they are paying the media companies for their "expertise" and it's easy to get bamboozled.
How many people watch the news from the TV news "experts" and are misled every night?

Fact is their sites are staffed with people who build sandwiches as well as Rap kicks a football.
And from poor quality stale ingredients as well. I won't eat there. Or watch girls play soccer for money.

When living in the country, far from big cities, one learns to live with what’s available. We have two subways, ones drive up speaker is broken so I drove up to the window to place my order. They said the window was for pick up orders only and wouldn’t take an order even though I was right there. So ridiculous and they’re on my avoid list. The one in the other direction is a new building and I only only ever order the meatball subs which I like quite a bit.

Had a sandwich in one of them in NYC once in my life. And that was one time too many. I looked at another table. It was crawling with cockroaches. I left my tray or whatever it was and ran from the place as quickly as I could! Never to return!

Hmmm. There seems to be a history making poor marketing decisions. Didn’t they hire a guy named Jared, who lost weight eating their subs, who later was arrested for child porn or something?

It’s one thing to attack a company’s “wokeness”, but I never encountered “stale bread, tasteless lunch meats, and soggy vegetables” at Subway. Talk about “hair-brained.”

Loved the subs filled with fresh good meat and veggies. Now the meat and veggies are tasteless and staff not so pleasant. As for that pink haired dike - don't watch women's soccer any more, except for my grandgirlies.
