Democrats struggle with an open secret:
The serious mental decline of an aging politician

The NY Times published a story today about Democrats coming to terms with the fact that an aging Democrat may no longer be fit for office. It’s a story about Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Who did you think we were talking about? At 88, Ms. Feinstein sometimes struggles to recall the names of colleagues, frequently has little recollection of meetings or telephone conversations, and at times walks around in a state of befuddlement — including about why she is increasingly dogged by questions about whether she is fit to serve in the Senate representing the 40 million residents of California, according to half a dozen lawmakers and aides

#1-Sadly, the "voters" in Cali will pick another leftist to keep screwing our country. The Senate, Congress is our Jurassic Park, out to enrich themselves, their families and cronies and to hell with everyone else. Republicans Democrats I see no difference between the two. Guys like Trump & DeSantis are the only ones with a set of brass balls willing to push back.

Joe Biden tried to lay the blame on his never-ending list of failures on Republicans when he delivered that really weird speech about inflation on Tuesday. He blamed everyone but himself and his inept policies, as is his habit. The Wall Street Journal labeled him “President Constanza”. The speech was that bad. One person singled out as the boogeyman standing in the way of Democrats was Senator Rick Scott from Florida. Scott has been reaping the rewards of Biden’s attack ever since that speech. Scott was interviewed on several shows on Fox News Channel yesterday. Each interview was a chance to rebut Biden’s speech and he took advantage of that.
Now They're on Record: Democrats Overwhelmingly
Vote to Allow Abortion up to Birth

Let it be known that the politicians of the Democrat Party in Washington are either evil or cowardly with the exception of one. Reports say that Democrats had brought Roe v Wade to the floor in order to codify it into law. The goal was to legalize abortion nationwide up until birth with what would be no limits. As you can imagine, every single Republican voted against this and they were joined by none other than West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin who had indicated that he’d vote against it earlier in the day. This resulted in Democrats being 11 votes shy of what they needed to pass Roe into law.
Inflation’s biting. Roe’s fraying.
Dems are still trying to connect with voters.

Only after Rep. Katie Porter put bacon in her cart at her local grocery store recently did she notice that its price had spiked to $9.99 a pound. Reluctantly, she put the package back. It was a dose of reality that Porter, a California progressive and single mother of three, has long understood. But she’s not sure all of her Democratic colleagues share her interest in connecting to average Americans’ experiences outside the Beltway. When Porter gave an emotional speech about how inflation has been hitting her family for months during a private House Democratic Caucus meeting last week, she said it seemed like the first time the personal toll

It appears that newsroom managers have warned reporters against voicing their personal views on abortion as the Supreme Court potentially stands on the cusp of overturning Roe v. Wade. According to a recent Vanity Fair report, certain news outlets have taken a markedly different tone than the one they employed during the Black Lives Matter protests over the death of George Floyd. For instance, during the height of the protests/riots of 2020, Axios chief executive Jim VandeHei told employees in a company-wide memo that they were encouraged to exercise their “rights to free speech, press, and protest.” In recent days, however, the company has been singing a different tune

Los Angeles - A U.S. appeals court ruled Wednesday that California’s ban on the sale of semiautomatic weapons to adults under 21 is unconstitutional. In a 2-1 ruling, a panel of the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Wednesday the law violates the Second Amendment right to bear arms and a San Diego judge should have blocked what it called “an almost total ban on semiautomatic centerfire rifles” for young adults. “America would not exist without the heroism of the young adults who fought and died in our revolutionary army,” Judge Ryan Nelson wrote. “Today we reaffirm that our Constitution still protects the right that enabled their sacrifice:

A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit challenging Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' law dissolving Disney World's Reedy Creek Improvement District, rejecting the claims of a Miami lawyer running for U.S. Senate as a Democrat. In the complaint, three residents of Orange and Osceola counties claimed that S.B. 4-C, the law that eliminates Disney's ability to operate an independent governmental entity around its Orlando-area theme parks, unconstitutionally threatens residents with higher taxes, abridges free speech rights, and violates a contractual obligation, the Orlando Sentinel reported. William Sanchez, a Miami lawyer and Democratic Senate candidate, filed the lawsuit last week.

The incendiary rhetoric that is coming from the radical left in response to the recently-leaked draft majority opinion written by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito on how “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled” just keeps getting worse, with the Biden White House now even encouraging left-wing agitators to break the law by continuing to “protest” in front the homes of conservative Supreme Court Justices in a clear effort to scare and intimidate them. The 2022 redistricting cycle has been a roller-coaster, with both sides proclaiming victory at different points over the last year. More recently, Democrats had convinced themselves that they were going to come out not just ahead, but significantly ahead, picking up five to six extra seats by redistricting alone. Unfortunately for them, the game isn’t over until it’s over, and a series of big decisions have completely nuked what advantage they thought they had. I’ve written extensively on those developments here at RedState, including the major GOP victories in Ohio, Alabama, and Florida. But there has been one final shoe left to drop

The House passed a bill for $40 billion in weapons and other aid to Ukraine and the war effort on Tuesday. That was $7 billion on top of what Joe Biden had asked for and on top of the $13.6 billion that was passed last month. Joe Biden said they needed more because they had already spent everything. While 57 Republicans voted against the new bill for $40 billion, most voted for it. It still has to go through the Senate. Congress had already passed a bill that gave Joe Biden the right to provide virtually anything out of our own stockpiles to Ukraine.

If you like your inflation, you can keep your inflation. Okay, Joe Biden didn’t say that. But he would have if he were being honest. The president set himself an easy task Tuesday — to show a dispirited public he cares about their painful straits. As he put it, “I want every American to know that I’m taking inflation very seriously and it’s my top domestic priority.” Just not seriously enough to bring a single new idea to the table. Instead he fell back on tired tropes about how none of the historic increase in prices is his fault. With Biden, the buck always stops somewhere else.
