law-abiding minorities don't support law-breaking ones

The world of woke is rife with incorrect assumptions about racial minorities. First is the assumption that racial minorities are criminals.
That assumption is wrong. It’s true that a disproportionate amount of crime – especially the violent kind – is committed by racial minorities. That’s true even after normalizing the numbers for the increased poverty level of minorities. I suspect this is due to a familial breakdown caused by many complicated factors.
But it’s certainly not true that minorities are all, or even generally, criminals. To the contrary, the great majority of minorities are law-abiding citizens.

When my son went to high school (many years ago) his Civics teacher made it compulsory for them to read the NYT daily. Rather than fight it , Igave him the following advice about US politics - Liberals are the biggest racists, feminists the most sexist and Greens are the worst polluters. He is now an Assistant VP at a large bank. But admits my advice has been sound.

As one of those aforementioned minorities I will give you the biggest reason: when people see a person of color they tend to group him into the same box as everyone else who looks like him. The thugs and welfare cheats make the rest of us (who do respect the law and have morals) look really bad. As a result, we tend to not offer support to those who want to break the law, even if we have the same skin color. Personally, I don't claim those people: we may look alike, but at least I actually had someone to celebrate on Father's Day.

The poll is good but there is another factor: black leadership has embraced criminality as endemic to the culture they represent. The poll here tells you that the black community wants police, not crime, but leadership in the black community has enriched themselves by exploiting the minority of the minority.
Disgusting.

Imagine that. Blacks don't want their children shot in the street. Some people have no sense of humor.

When I lived in AZ my hairdresser was a lovely young black lady. Once when I was there some black females (not ladies) came into the shop and gave this lady some discussion. After they left, her comment was that those lazy a**es needed to find a job and quit trying to live off of welfare and everyone else. Hard working people of any color don't want to give their hard-earned money to lazy people and they are sick of crime.

Somewhere in Scripture it says that people who do not follow the rules of morality are simply incapable of making plans that lead toward the betterment of mankind.

While waiting for my dentist's office to open for an early morning appointment, I had a coversation with a black woman from the Caribbean, who was also waiting for the building to open. Among other things, she said that she could not understand why blacks who were born in this country complained about everything. She said she was grateful to be in a such a wonderful country and that there were several opportunities to make good life for her family.

Beaton gives the white man's version. He fails to recognize that we are a conglomeration of "communities", many racial. And every community fights to maintain its membership by various means. Why is Chinatown full of third-generation Americans? Why does "Little Italy" persist in nearly every American city? It's about the "community".
The Black Community is very strong, generally operating through the churches and common grievances against the outside world. It is impossible to escape without determination. Those who are economically able are pulled back by family and institutions, all demanding to "give back" and "Never forget your roots." They may live in the suburbs...ask where they go to church. Check out the "branding" by black fraternities...you are a permanent fixture. The Community is your alumni association.
And the same goes for politics. Black politics is bloc politics. One votes and believes as The Community does. Those aren't corrupt politicians. They're just getting theirs like those others. The reason services suck and schools fail is because others take the resources and make it impossible to learn, to get ahead, to advance. The Democrats give us stuff to tide us over until we climb that mountain.

It's ironic, isn't it, that the people who hurl the "racist" epithet assume all minorities think alike.
