Apple employees refuse office return because
it will make company ‘whiter, more male-dominated’

Employees of the tech giant Apple are revolting against a plan to get staff back into the office for three days a week, claiming it will make the company “younger, whiter and more male-dominated”. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, has said his proposed “hybrid working pilot” for US, Europe and UK employees is an attempt to balance the corporate benefits of in-office working with the personal advantages that working from home gives staff members. A group of US-based Apple employees have formed an organisation dubbed “Apple Together” and claim the initiative is “only driven by fear”. The unnamed staff have sent

Comments:

Only about 200 employees have signed on to this edict. But their whining and bellyaching about diversity and needing maximum flexibility indicate they are spoiled brats.

I wonder if the companies have made a mistake letting people work from home. I heard a late 30's young lady say 'I'm not returning to the office!' She is too happy working in her jammies. And I wonder how productivity would be measured over the last couple of years.

These whiney babies are the same sniveling fools who are crying about their student loans, climate change, too much free speech on Twitter, having to pay bills, be adults, their confusion about their sexual orientation, and the stress they are under by being expected to actually show up to work. Why is this premise not blatantly racist? Could anyone ever get away with stating the same and inserting black instead of white? We have lost our minds if this allowed to stand. We must stop the blatant racism that is being created for the sole purpose of diving the country. It will work if it stands. Just look at the violence that is being perpetrated on whites and Asians. They are being targeted. It’s going to get ugly because people will not stand for it. Are democrats pushing for Civil War II? It certainly appears that way.

The key word here is ‘employees’. Unless they have a legally binding contract that stipulates that they don’t have to work in an office then they can either comply or quit. If I had an employee refusing to follow company policies they would be on the curb. Apple needs to decide who’s going to run the company.

I agree #39. My output took a drastic dive after returning to the office after two+ years of working from home, delivering animation and graphic support to NAVAIR contractors here in southern Maryland at PAX River Naval Air Base. It was mostly because of constant meetings, reviews and hallway chit chat that the distaff side pushed. Great! So how would companies, run exclusively by black females, improve performance? This is all about the wants of much less than one percent or 200 employees, out of 165,000 or so of the total number of Apple employees, with those 200 employees obviously being members of an extreme whacked out class of the Apple workforce. So why is this internal Apple issue considered considered public news? Certainly not because it is news to anyone outside of Apple, but because the fake media claims that it is news because the magic word “diversity” popped up in the employee’s supposed reasoning.

Not surprising coming from the lunatics in California today. Their letter says in part, “It will make Apple younger, whiter, more male-dominated, more neuro-normative, more able-bodied. In short, it will lead to privileges deciding who can work for Apple, not who’d be the best fit.” The fools hadn’t thought out that their self-hating presence makes the company’s payroll more, “whiter, more male-dominated, more neuro-normative, more able-bodied.” Easy solution. Every time I have had to work with people who are working from home I find they are not getting the job done. Working from home is a bad idea for many companies. When I have to work with other company facilities that are offsite I find I have to wait a day or more to get a response for some small question/task I need from them. The Mexican plant will send an email that they have had to stop production because of some issue. It usually takes two days before they will respond to explain the details of the problem to me so I can investigate and come up with a solution. Meanwhile the production line sits idle. On the other hand when the Chinese plant has an issue they will respond to me almost immediately even when I know it is 3AM their time. They seem to panic about the production line sitting idle.

Internal party polling conducted this month shows the GOP has a real shot at flipping former Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela’s South Texas seat in the upcoming June special election. That’s two days sooner than was previously announced. This, of course, is the definition of a moot point. Whether CNN+ dies on April 28 or April 30 doesn’t matter at all — it’ll be just as dead. But it just goes to show the dysfunction behind the scenes following the merger of WarnerMedia, which owned CNN, with Discovery, and the executive shake-up that followed. The reason for the

Gross domestic product unexpectedly declined at a 1.4% annualized pace in the first quarter, marking an abrupt reversal for an economy coming off its best performance since 1984, the Commerce Department reported Thursday. The negative growth rate missed even the subdued Dow Jones estimate of a 1% gain for the quarter. GDP measures the output of goods and services in the U.S. for the three-month period. A plethora of factors conspired to weigh against growth during the first three months of 2022, which fell off a cliff following the 6.9% gain to close out last year. However, the decline came

SALEM, Ore. – In 1994, Kyle Hedquist led a teenager down a remote logging road, then shot her in the back of the head because he feared she might tell police about burglaries he'd committed. This month, Oregon. Gov. Kate Brown granted clemency to Hedquist, who was serving a life sentence without parole after being convicted of murdering Nikki Thrasher when he was 17. Brown's act is unleashing a storm of criticism from prosecutors and law enforcement. “The executive clemency granted by Gov. Brown in this case is shocking and irresponsible,” Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin said Tuesday in a

All Hillary Schubach wanted to do is something good for the environment. But after switching to driving a plug-in electric sedan, she quickly realized a new complication of apartment living: Access to a charging station. Schubach’s hardly alone. Even as it appears electric car sales are hitting a tipping point, those living in apartments and condominiums around the nation can find it difficult, expensive or outright impossible to find a way to plug in when they’re at home. With nearly one out of three households living in apartments or condominiums, the goal of switching to electric vehicles to fight climate

Russia threatened a dramatic escalation of its war in Ukraine Thursday when Russia’s Channel One featured a video depicting Russian missiles reaching Berlin, Paris, and London.According to the UK’s Express, Channel One’s 60 Minutes program, one of the most popular TV shows in Russia, featured “the chairman of the nationalist Rodina party, Aleksey Zhuravlyov,” who “suggested Russia could launch a Sarmat missile attack on the UK.” This was not, however, Zhuravlyov’s eccentric view: “Producers then cut to a map of Kaliningrad and seemed to suggest that missiles could be launched from the Russian enclave between Poland, Lithuania and the Baltic Sea.” Zhuravlyov declared: “One Sarmat [missile] and that’s it

An innovative face mask for cows, designed to reduce methane emissions and slow down climate change, has won a prestigious design award. The wearable device for cattle, created by UK-based design group Zelp, was one of the four winners of the inaugural Terra Cart Design Lab competition. Prince Charles, who launched the competition as part of his Sustainable Markets Initiative, hailed the ground-breaking design as "fascinating" at an awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, The Telegraph reported. The design, a smart harness for cows, converts methane into carbon dioxide and water vapor. Cows expel significant quantities of methane, an odorless

Jill Biden is not an inherently interesting person. She’s been a teacher for some decades now, wrote an undistinguished thesis to get a meaningless Ed.D., and now functions as her husband’s nursemaid. She also lacks charm. And, of course, she’s White. Why someone thought a biography of her would be interesting is impossible to understand although a biography that took two people to write hit the market this past week—and completely bombed. (snip) Julie Page and Darlene Superville, both of whom are AP reporters, thought there was something there, something people would pay $26 for a hardback to learn about.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Disinformation Governance Board would not infringe on free speech or monitor Americans.Anchor Dana Bash said, “Let’s talk about what your department is calling, The Disinformation Governance Board that you unveiled this week. Republicans are calling it Orwellian and comparing it to the ministry of truth in the novel 1984. Can you clarify what exactly is this? What exactly will this disinformation governance board do? Will it monitor American citizens? ”Mayorkas said, “Dana, I’m very pleased to do so. It’s clear, I mean, those criticisms are precisely the opposite of what this

What’s that I hear? I think it’s the howls of rage and fury emanating from a Montecito mansion in the hours after Meghan Markle had the crushing realisation that pretending to be a Hollywood ‘Duchess’ means nothing in the cutthroat world of American TV. Netflix, which just 14 months ago at the height of the pandemic subscriber boom, employed the Sussexes in an unprecedented exclusive telly deal worth tens of millions, has had a crushing realisation of its own: Viewers of the once-great streaming platform aren’t going to keep paying to be force fed a succession of painfully PC dramas about pregnant men

Despite the lack of any definitive proof that the President has the authority to simply cancel student loan debt without congressional approval, Joe Biden is reportedly in talks to do precisely that and he claims a decision will be coming in a matter of weeks. The progressive lobby in Congress has been pushing Biden to take such an action, but he supposedly isn’t prepared to give them everything they want. The target figure for progressives is $50,000 in debt relief for everyone. Biden said he’s not going that high and there are expected to be income caps associated with any proposed relief. What the exact figures
