Just as the internet has been roiled by the news that Elon Musk is buying Twitter and plans to turn it into a free speech forum, the administration announced its nifty plan to stifle free speech. Of course, the creation of such an office is a tell that their ideas cannot withstand the sunlight of open debate. It’s also a distraction from the real issues a competent administration would be dealing with. This has to be a distraction. I can't imagine that they are that stupid to form a committee/board that violates the 1st amendment.

Well stated Clarice. You are first on my list every Sunday. We seem to be heading for 1984 with The Ministry of Truth as well as Hitler’s government propaganda machine. As a nation we are smarter than that. The current administration is going to lose big time. But, we need to do everything we can to minimize the damage they can cause in the next couple of years. Too bad conservatives didn't have some kind of disinformation board when Barack Obama and Joe Biden were running in 2008. The stuff that was flung at Sarah Palin stunk and it smelled of Barack Obama and Joe Biden's tactics.

Because everything bothers someone. Just as a for instance, this childs' song bothers me. Am I allowed to tell her to stop? Am I allowed to force her to stop? The reasons that Mayorkas gave to Congress for him initiating his so called “Disinformation Board” within the Department of Homeland Insecurity were both bogus. The human traffickers who Mayorkas says are creating disinformation are all foreign criminals located outside the USA and associated with the international criminal cartels or socialist politics located in Central America and Mexico outside the jurisdiction of U.S. law enforcement. There is no reason for those human traffickers to operate inside the USA as the Biden politburo non-enforcement of the immigration laws agenda is doing the work of human traffickers once illegal aliens unlawfully cross the borderline, by allowing unlimited numbers of illegal aliens to stay in the USA and even transporting them to points all over the USA. If human traffickers sophisticated enough to put out disinformation to illegal aliens on a large scale were inside the USA they would be politically associated with the USA leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats. Since it is the Biden politburo deliberate policy to flood the USA with as many poor and uneducated illegal aliens as possible to permanently change the future ethnic and racial voter demographics and the majority population of the country, to a minority-majority population made up of a vast coalition of minorities, both of domestic and foreign origin, who fit within the categories of Democrat identity politics to the Democrat’s permanent favor, there is no doubt that the partisan Mayorkas would be ignoring them. The Biden politburo is also giving illegal aliens “free” cellphones before they are allowed to travel to the interior of the USA, supposedly so they can be tracked, but that reason, which the Biden politburo made public, is also bogus as illegal aliens who do not want to be tracked will simply throw their “free” cellphones away. So it is obvious that the Biden politburo is really handing out those “free” cellphones to masses of illegal aliens is so they can continuously send partisan Democrat political messages to those illegal aliens designed to encourage to become leftist Democrat supporters and future voters. As far as legitimate Russia originated disinformation is concerned, the Russians have been putting out disinformation to the world for many decades, and as long as the perpetrators of that disinformation stay in Russia there is no way that the Biden politburo disinformation board can do anything about legitimate Russia origin disinformation. What the disinformation board will really be used for by the partisan Democrats is a political backstop, by which the Biden politburo will claim that an entity of Department of Homeland Insecurity is maintaining that al information concerning Biden politburo failures and Biden family corruption being put out to the American people by the wimpy Republicans is really Russian disinformation. Just as the Democrats have been doing for years through their liberal media propagandists.

Last night, there was a fire at a food processing plant in America. It was the 18th such “accident” to hit our food processing plants and distribution centers in 2022. Eighteen such incidents in only four months is an unprecedented rate. Usually, there are a dozen, or less, in any calendar year. On April 22nd, there was an “explosion” at Shearer's Foods in Hermiston, Oregon. On April 21st, an "unidentified small plane" crashed into the General Mills plant in Covington, Georgia. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that so many of the most hysterical climate-change/greenies are based in urban regions. A big city represents the heaviest human footprint there is, something that misleads people into believing that man can ride herd on nature. (Snip) Whether it’s earthquakes, floods, droughts, hurricanes, or just inexorable greenery (e.g., kudzu, every jungle), when nature gets a head of steam, we’re tossed about like ants after a careless human foot kicked their anthill.  Since about 2018, Chinese officials have been talking about the moon and Mars as sovereign Chinese territory, part of the People's Republic of China. This means that China considers those heavenly bodies to be like the South China Sea. This also means that China will exclude other nations from going to the moon and Mars if they have the capability to do so. We do not have to speculate about that: Chinese officials say this is what they are going to do.  (Snip) They do not want to "compete" within the international system. When the Soviet communists’ hammer-and-sickle flag was lowered at the Kremlin for the last time on Dec. 25, 1991, some said that the last refuge of Marxism was in the academic institutions of the West. They were right. That totalitarian ideology has infected American colleges and universities and other institutions that are purveying cancel culture, wokeism, censorship, and gender dogma that rejects reality. But students, parents, and others are fighting back. And two colleges—Oberlin College and Shawnee State University—recently got exactly what they deserve: large legal judgments against them for defamatory and discriminatory misbehavior. The CDC just decided to continue the transportation mask mandate for another two weeks. Dr. Bob Wachter, Chair of the Department of Medicine at UCSF, concurs with the CDC decision. This doesn’t prove that masks work. Instead, it proves that the CDC, Wachter, and most mainstream scientists (who claim masks work) are incapable of differentiating solid science from a sloppy study. There have been only two randomized trials to test whether public policy using masks to mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2 can reduce the spread.
