A New York Supreme Court judge held former President Donald Trump in civil contempt on Monday, ordering him to pay $10,000 every day until he fully complies with New York Attorney General Letitia James's subpoena in her investigation of the Trump Organization.
James has been seeking various financial records after former Trump attorney Michael Cohen told Congress that Trump had exaggerated the values of various assets on statements in order to get more advantageous terms for loans and for tax purposes. Earlier this month, James's office requested the daily fines and argued that Trump should be held in contempt for failing to meet a March 31 deadline

Yet another in the non-ending series of malicious prosecutions of President (yes, present tense) Trump.

The values of properties are subjective. And they fluctuate. Based on the market. And lenders have their own appraisers.
James has absolutely no idea what she’s doing, other than fishing. Sicced on PDJT by that nasty fool Michael Cohen.

He should close down or sell everything he's got in NY and move it all to Florida.

The Shadow/Tandem/Parallel case has just recently been thrown out by NYC Mayor. NO Victims...Tax people all had signed off on assessments, even after audits, got Paid. Banks ALL got paid, made money on the deals.
Tax payers are on the hook paying for the "James Gang" to the tune of $Millions, likely $millions more than she is accusing Trump of underpaying...meanwhile AG's office has dozens tied up on this case instead of taking killers/dope Kingpins/Gangs to trial...
Seems to me that I recall Al Sharpton has been fudging income/funding/expenses/taxes for decades...ain't HE in her jurisdiction?

What would you expect a Democrat Judge to do in such a politically charged case targeting a Republican who may well run for President in 2024?

If we’re going to talk about inflated real estate values, I suggest Ms. James look into biteme’s home in Delaware.

These idiots will NEVER stop digging. There's a pony in there somewhere, There HAS to be !
Apparently NONE of them have ever figured out or heard that people like Donald Trump learn
at an early age to be careful in ALL of your dealing with others.
He has had a high profile ( ideal target for almost ANYONE ) for so many years I doubt he would
buy a hamburger without first running the purchase and consumption through a lawyer or two !
Taxes ? Do these people think he sits down with Turbo Tax, some receipts and a PC and cranks out
his income tax return ?? On the contrary, I'm sure it is done by MANY tax accounts and tax lawyers
SPECIFICALLY to AVOID problems in the future.
The man is not a fool and I doubt any of these crusaders will EVER find any thing that they can
use against Mr. Trump, primarily because IMHO there ISN'T ANYTHING to find ( that hasn't already
been covered ad nauseam ) !!

And yet, BLM rioters, looters, arsonists, Jussie Smollet, and Hunter Biden go completely unpunished by the courts. Jussie was even sentenced and headed to a jail cell that he never made it to, then they let hijm walk free. Playing by the rules won't keep you safe from them any more than being a criminal will get you punished. It's all about politics, so play accordingly. Several other countries have had this style of Kangaroo Courts for decades. There are plenty of examples on how to survive this system, none of them pretty.

Funny how they don't lead with who appointed the judge, like they do when it's a Trump appointee.

I don't see how the state of NY can bring this suit, as they have no standing, and there is no complainant in the case. The banks have or are being paid, and have not filed any complaint.
