Twitter placed a temporary ban on any new product changes to prevent employees "going rogue" following the acceptance of billionaire Elon Musk's $44 billion offer to buy the platform, Bloomberg reported.
The company will not allow any changes to the platform unless they're business-critical and approved by the vice president, people familiar with the matter told the outlet. The ban is in place until at least through Friday, Bloomberg reported.
The move was taken in order to prevent any employees, upset by the decision, from "going rogue", one source told the newswire.
Twitter declined to comment on the Bloomberg report.

'Going rogue' is just a euphemism for software sabotage. I can guarantee that it has already been done. Musk will have lots of opportunities to terminate disruptive employees.

Next on their agenda will be to remove all "E" and "M" keys from the keyboards. Fire them all. Maybe WalMart is hiring.

I assume they have been reminded that computer crimes can result in a 20 year jail term.

Well thank you, Twitter, for confirming what most of us already knew. You have a bunch of left wing snowflakes moderating your platform and banning anything that doesn’t align with their vision of the world.

Well, that's a quick way to get rid of excess personnel.
I've been involved in several companies who have been acquired. If you're one of the worker bees (as I was), what you need to do is do your job the same way every day the way it's supposed to be done and focus on your customer. When things have to change, you'll find out about it.

Musk has said he is for free speech, IIRC, saying that a poster should be able to say anything "that isn't illegal".
If he actually holds to that standard, it would seem to open up the discussion to all ideas. That is frightening to leftists who cannot win in an open discussion, because their ideas are defective. The left insists on being able to shut down opposing ideas, because their ideas are weak, and always lose in a fair discussion.
I hope Mr. Musk sticks with his free speech ideas. But, too soon to tell. It seems likely that he will do it.

The core developers of the Twitter app were setting up code to disrupt and delete files as soon as Musk made his offer. All they have to do is execute! It's too late for this move!

Elon has a reputation as a ruthless boss, which these snowflakes are about to learn is well-founded.

One has to wonder whether he learned that lesson from Trump, whose greatest failing was underestimating his enemy's capacity for lawless, anti-American resistance.

Re #12. In theory, it is a "platform" like a bulletin board where people can pin up notes. That's the theory.
A real bulletin board is passive, a piece of cork. Not so for the old Twits. Too soon to tell on the new Twits.
Not so much a product as a service - except that they injected their leftist politics into the service.

Agree with others here -
DAY 1 fire every current employee. ( What I wish President Trump had done ! )
Start with a clean sheet of paper. Yes, you will be 'off the air' for a while but
the outcome of starting anew will be worth it in the long run.

Move the operations to either Texas or Florida. Terminate every woke and worthless employee. Reinstate every person who was kicked out because of Conservative views. That's a start...
