The majority of voters are blaming increased prices at the pump on Russian President Vladimir Putin and oil companies more than energy policies from President Biden and Democrats, according to a new poll. An ABC News/Ipsos survey released over the weekend showed that 71% of voters placed a great deal or good amount of blame on Mr. Putin for his invasion of Ukraine and 68% said the same for oil companies. The majority of respondents still placed some degree of blame on Mr. Biden (51%) and Democratic policies (52%). Although most voters still blamed the president and his party, the vast frustration among Americans toward Mr. Putin and energy companies

Comments:

The majority of American voters are stupid and lazy, and get their information straight from the government-controlled propaganda mill we like to call the enemedia. Unless something is done about near-total Marxist domination of the media and the schools, the republic is lost (it's probably too late).

While the poll itself is certainly suspect, considering the source, it's perhaps telling that the 50-50 spit is almost certainly right along party lines. While more than fifty percent of the populace may be aware that Biden's moronic energy policy is to blame, I'm betting that no Democrat would ever admit that belief to a pollster.

When the simplest thing to do would be to allow the U.S. drilling operations to resume obtaining bank funding and open up the domestic oil production. It's not a lack of oil available, it's who is restricting the ability to produce it.

I do believe I took this poll. To put it in context, the poll's introduction specifically blamed Putin, Covid, etc., for the increases and then the questions asked who you thought was to blame. In other words, the whole poll is a joke. To call the questions leading is too generous.

Meaningless poll - The ABC News/Ipsos poll was conducted April 8-9 among 530 adults. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points. Please give us a breakdown on how many D's R's and I's are these likely voters, registered voters, non-voters? Age and demographics of the respondents means great deal too. This buried in the article: The majority of respondents still placed some degree of blame on Mr. Biden (51%) and Democratic policies (52%). Curious how those same voters will not give correlative credit to Putin and the Evil Nasty Oil Companies for the record low gasoline price they've had for the last 2 years. Speaking as an oil industry professional, the oil companies need every dime of today's higher prices just to recover from their horrible losses over the last two years.

Dear Joe Robinette, If you have the slightest comprehension that prices are affected by supply and demand and you factor in speculation (what will happen to future supply?), but simultaneously owe allegiance to radicals who want to totally wean us by choking supply, how do you explain your government policies. You took action to kill future supply with cancellations of permits and pipelines for future development. You mandated alternative sources without calculating the practicality or capacity of these sources. You alienated those friendly dominions and courted those hostile powers who could supplement your supply. Then you tap a national security reserve trying to correct a crisis that you caused. And you want to give money to the populace so they can buy the commodity you are trying to choke and ease the financial burden of the shortage you created. Thus you are admitting that this commodity is needed for our economic security. Putin may be evil and certainly has contributed to energy issues by creating instability in markets and international relations. However, you are floundering in their own incompetence, and you are bringing us all down!

This ABC News/Ipsos poll was conducted April 8 to April 9, 2022, by Ipsos using the probability-based KnowledgePanel®. This poll is based on a nationally representative probability sample of 530 adults age 18 or older. As the archdiocese of Malta openly admitted, “The podium will not be adorned with a crucifix, given that the majority of migrants are Muslim.” Instead, the podium backdrop used by Francis consisted of recycled plastic bottles with red blobs meant to highlight the two primary reasons Francis was visiting Malta -- to defend migrants and the environment:

Disney is a powerful company but they may have just stepped in it big time with their position over a parents’ rights bill that they falsely call the “Don’t Say Gay” law in Florida. The law doesn’t say anything about “don’t say gay.” Indeed it doesn’t mention “gay” at all. The legislative text of the House version of the bill reads, ‘Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.’ [….] That’s what folks on the left have

President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi want to regulate any gadget or appliance with an electric switch that turns on in your house or your driveway. New Department of Energy rules will dictate the amount of water that comes out of your showerhead, how much warm air comes out of your heater and how much cool air comes out of air conditioners. There is even talk about gadgets monitoring your home's temperature in the winter and summer months. How is any of this the government's business? The latest shower regulations are especially aggravating.
