President Joe Biden's administration tried to get ahead of more dire inflation news, as the March consumer price index report will be released Tuesday.White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during Monday's briefing that the White House expected 'headline inflation to be extraordinarily elevated due to Putin's price hike.' Last month the same report showed a price incresae of 7.9 per cent in February, marking the highest spike in 40 years.

As long as you spell Putin B-I-D-E-N, then yes, it's all Putin's fault.

When Psaki is asked about high gas prices her response is that the Pres really has nothing to do with that BUT now they are saying that high gas prices are Putin's fault. So there is nothing joey can do (not his fault) but Putin has control over OUR gas prices. Do they ever listen to themselves?

It’s the inflation, stupid. Gasoline, rent, food are out of control just as we enter into recession. Communists are blinded by their fake ideology of Global Warming über alles. There will be famine due to not using the resources God gave us, and our choosing to kill eagles instead. In reality it is not our choice for F. Joe Bidet is illegitimate and the duly elected President was Donald Trump the Great.

So prices on EVERYTHING were normal before the Putin invasion? I don't think so. It all started the moment FJB closed down our independent energy resources. And then threw money at everyone thinking that wasn't going to be a problem. A high school econ 101 class would have challenged their premise. Food prices and energy prices affect us all on a daily basis. And it is going to get worse. And it is THEIR problem and no one else's. FJB and the whole clown car administration. The dems have always assumed the American public is stupid and easily lead. With a possible food crisis coming down the pike this is going to get ugly very quickly.

PS It's only a matter of time before psaki announces from the podium that democratic bread and cheese lines will be up and running. And she will be so proud. And she will be telling the ungrateful American populace we should thank God that FJB is in office taking care of us. FJB bernie sanders will be front and center passing out the government goodies. Remember, he said this was a good thing. You can be sure he will not be eating crickets and nancy will still have her freezers stocked with chocolate ice cream.

It's simple Democrats. We depend on gas to bring goods to the marketplace. The higher the price of gas then the higher goods cost. Can you understand that?

Spin away, democrats. We the people are not stupid. Everytime we go to the grocery store or pump our gas, it won’t be Trump who gets the blame, that will fall squarely on Biden and his cabal. You built this Joe. This is your economy. And the wrath of the American people for this unforced error is going to be fierce. You destroyed what everyone in this country was experiencing, prosperity. And for what? Spite, pure spite. Americans are going to pull the rug out from under the democrat party. I just hope and pray Republicans can do what is right and smash these arrogant parasites under their heels. Have to say, I am none too hopeful. Republicans have the unique ability to turn victory into defeat. God give them courage and determination to do what is right for the American people.

Two questions I would ask Joey the Simple: 1) why do you let Putin ruin our economy; aren't you in charge of it? 2) how much cash are we giving Zelensky, and how much money in terms of weapons and supplies?

Biden keeps passing the buck, but it’s not a big deal because the buck isn’t what it used to be.. The invasion was a direct response to Biden exploiting Ukraine as a threat to Russia while emboldening Putin with self defeating energy policies. Ukraine is Biden’s fault, inflation is Biden’s fault. Average rent went up over $200 a month in the year before most Americans figured out where Ukraine was on a map.

It's gone completely past any attempt to make things sound plausible. Just lie so you don't have to tell the truth.

The Rats really do think we're stupid. Putin certainly isn't helping matters, but we all know the groundwork for this economic crisis was laid long before Putin invaded Ukraine. To claim otherwise is just insulting our intelligence.

The left's blame game, someone else's fault. Putin has nothing to do with it, it's sawdust brain Joey's fault while he chases 'ghost guns' he better worry about the 'ghost guest' coming across the southern border by the thousands daily. FJB

They can't hide it any more, so they're playing the blame game.
And if the USA Democrats had't chased manufacturers and producers out of the country, we'd be yawning about the Ukraine.
No vountry has autonomy, if they must depend on others for critical resources. This may be the first law of Gobalism.

Always looking for someone else to blame for their mis/management of our country...putin's war didn't start until after the increase of inflation numbers had escalated...and the gas prices and increased food prices and empty shelves happened a long time before Putin marched...or shall WE say rolled into Ukraine...but nice try Mr. Magoo...WE the people are not stupid....

Given how the problem started long BEFORE the Ukraine and Russia problem, it baffles me how they think their supporters would buy this malarkey. This is on Cali, the EPA deal signed with transportation at the ports and by extension, the Greenies for forcing this stuff onto us.
Now the fertilizer problem, that will be on DC and Putin. A bumbling bungler's circus handling the nation's affairs will cost us big time next year. If you think shelves are sparce now, wait until after the next harvests.

Just a few omissions. Inflation was high before Russia invaded, and Russia would not have invaded if Trump were still President. The whole Administration is scam central.

Wasn't the Soviet Union waging war in Afghanistan in the 1980s? Why didn't that cause inflation in America??
