Ted Cruz attacked his fellow Republican senators on the Judiciary Committee, during a taping of his podcast on Monday night hosted by a Yale University student group, accusing them of not going harder on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson during her Supreme Court confirmation hearing because they did not want to be seen as 'modern-day Klansmen.'(Snip)While taping The Verdict with co-host Michael Knowles in New Haven on Monday night, Cruz claimed 'you’ll be called a racist, you’ll be called a sexist, you’ll be demonized' for criticizing a black female judicial nominee. politicians are the least likely people to tell anybody the truth, on any matter, and it's a rare elected official who will stand up and defend his / her position on any topic especially if a looming election adds some weight to the matter - it does seem as if the repub party is rife with spineless and witless elected officials

The tell is on the faces of two who were being questioned before being voted on for the Supreme Court. Did you see the face of Kavanagh during his many hours of questioning? Especially the attitude of our now VP, they keep showing clips. He was in supreme distress and I believe at time was crying. His face was red. I can't unsee the duress he was under. And didn't his wife have to leave the room because she couldn't take it any more? I don't remember much about Amy c. Barrett's questioning. I do remember the last one. At the end of her days of questioning, she sat there with the poop eating grin on her face, no stress to be seen, like the cat that ate the canary. It was sickening.

I am not even going to speak about the Republican Senators who cannot come to a conclusion about anything without checking which way the wind is blowing; I wouldn't expect most of them to study the evidence about anything - so lazy! No. All that Ivy League oratory skill on the Judiciary Committee and they went so easy on this crazy nominee. As far as cowardice, every Republican Senator has that one or two issues they are cowards over. They do not go there unless pressed and then it’s theater. They won’t FIGHT for “that” issue because their big donors (dirt cheap labor importers) will turn off the money faucet.

Ted Cruz is correct. Few Republican senators want to be seen on television vigorously opposing any black person for a "historical" appointment in an election year. And I agree, many of them are cowards. If the entire republican party had stood together on principle, and followed up their questioning with a united media front, shame and public pressure would have forced Dems to choose differently. It only makes sense if we keep in mind that maintaining the delicate balance of the uni-party, requires republicans to either be in the minority physically or act from a minority position. Frankly, I was surprised when Cruz, Cotton, and others on the Judiciary Committee took a principled stand, and brought to the light what was hidden in the record. Democrats use black faces to advance their progressive agenda by labeling all common sense hesitation as racism. There is nothing racist about asking questions. There is nothing racist about insisting truth, facts, and reality be known about the judgment of a government employee seeking an influential position. Even more so, one who is hiding 47K pages of information related to decisions made while paid to work for the American people. How can one support a lifetime bench appointment for any judge (black, white, brown, pink, yellow, purple, or green) with demonstrated sympathy towards egregious child molesters? It takes a hard-hearted, throwaway attitude towards children to make money from abortions. (Can we ever fully undo the damage from the legalized permission to jump off that cliff?) And it takes the same hard-hearted, throwaway attitude to abuse or exploit children sexually. How long before this once unthinkable act gains legal sanction? Who will help loving moms, dads, and guardians protect their kids? Who will protect our children from the groomers and predators in their environment or abettors in the legal system? Please God, help us to once again value ourselves and our children as being made in Your image. Help us to do all we can to love them rightly, respect them, and preserve their lives and their innocence. Amen.
