Hostile Takeover on the Table? Elon Musk
Opts Out of Twitter Board Seat

Original Article

Tesla CEO Elon Musk declined a seat on Twitter’s board of directors after becoming the platform’s largest shareholder with a massive 9.2 percent stake. But this move could end up signifying an even greater play by Musk to seize control of the platform, according to CNBC. Leftist Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal tweeted late April 10 that the world’s richest man “decided not to join our board.” Agrawal seemed to admit the quiet part out loud when he said that having Musk “as a fiduciary of the company where he, like all board members, has to act in the best interests of the company and all our shareholders, was the best path forward.”

Personally, I don't care since I've never been on Twit or read anything on the site. Maye that makes me unconnected, but I still follow the news and events enough to connect the dots to understand how the country is being corrupted. Does the future of the country ride on this social media platform?

New York Lt. Gov. Brian Benjamin has resigned after he surrendered to authorities to face campaign finance fraud-related charges in connection with a past campaign, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced. "I have accepted Brian Benjamin's resignation effective immediately. While the legal process plays out, it is clear to both of us that he cannot continue to serve as Lieutenant Governor. New Yorkers deserve absolute confidence in their government, and I will continue working every day to deliver for them," Hochul said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Following news of his resignation, Benjamin's attorneys, James D. Gatta and William Harrington issued a statement calling his actions "laudable -- not criminal."

Heart inflammation after a Covid jab is not only rare but no more common than after other types of vaccinations, researchers have found. As Covid vaccination programmes began around the world it emerged that some people – particularly young men – subsequently developed myocarditis, a type of inflammation of the heart muscle, or pericarditis, inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. While cases were rare, the findings caused concern, with risk of such heart inflammation among the reasons cited by experts in the UK for the delay in expanding the vaccination programme to children. Now research suggests that myopericarditis – an umbrella term that encompasses myocarditis and pericarditis

At least 10 Brooklyn subway riders were shot Tuesday by a man wearing a gas mask and a green construction vest who tossed a smoke canister in the train car to distract the rush hour crowd before opening fire, officials and law enforcement sources said. One source close to the investigation says his gun may have jammed, potentially preventing further loss of life. A weapon was recovered at the scene, as was a bag with smoke canisters and fireworks, lending further credence to the theory of a premeditated attack on New York City transit riders, sources and officials say. The shooter remained on the loose more than five hours after opening fire

Houston - The $11 million COVID communication deal Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo once vigorously defended has just triggered a half dozen felony criminal indictments against three members of her inner circle including the Judge's Chief of staff, Alex Triantaphyliss. "Bring it on! Bring it on because there is nothing here," said Hidalgo in September. Also, facing felony charges of tampering with government documents and misuse of official information are Aaron Dunn and Wallis Nader. According to the Texas Rangers, the pair along with Triantaphyllis orchestrated a bid rigging scheme to steer the multi-million dollar contract to a little known, one-woman firm with few resources and extensive

Inflation accelerated in March to a new four-decade high as the Russian war in Ukraine fueled rapid price gains for oil and gas that wiped out the benefits of rising wages for most Americans. The consumer price index rose 8.5% in March from a year ago, according to a new Labor Department report released Tuesday, marking the fastest increase since January 1982, when inflation hit 8.4%. The CPI – which measures a bevy of goods ranging from gasoline and health care to groceries and rents – jumped 1.2% in the one-month period from January. Economists expected the index to show that prices surged 8.4%

According to the Daily Wire, Vivek Ramaswamy sat down with John Bickley and Georgia Howe on the “Morning Wire” podcast where he revealed that Musk’s recent denial of a board seat on Twitter is likely Musk attempting to own over 15 percent of the company, or in other words, a “hostile takeover” over the social media brand overall. SEATTLE – Seattle’s Link Light Rail is a freeloader’s paradise. There are no turnstiles, so passengers are supposed to either buy a ticket or tap their pre-paid card. But so few riders are paying, fares are currently covering just 5% of the system’s operating costs, a fraction of the 40% mark Sound Transit set as a requirement. At a recent Sound Transit Board meeting, the outgoing CEO summed up the situation. "Our fare collection system relies overwhelmingly on an honor system," Peter Rogoff said, "and our increasingly acute problem is that our riders aren’t honoring the system." By one measurement

While Black people have made economic and health gains, they’ve slipped further behind white people in education, social justice and civic engagement since this index was launched in 2005.
