An out-of-touch academic, writing a column for Bloomberg Opinion, demonstrated just how out of touch the country's elites are as inflation hits every sector of the country. Instead of hide the mess, or better yet, just not print it, Bloomberg Opinion tweeted its existence out with a handy tip sheet: (Snip for tweet) Which was about as amateur-hour as it gets on the age-old topic of cutting back as inflation eats into worker earnings. The "advice" also included a recommendation to cut chemotherapy for one's dog as if that would solve the inflation problem for a loving pet owner. Interestingly, the tip sheet from Bloomberg appears for 1 second and then disappears.

Yeah, well, I've got a much more effective tip: Elect new leadership, then fire every bureaucrat left over from the previous administration.

Bernie plots against Kamala 11 replies

Kamala Harris, one step from the presidency, is an unmitigated disaster on all fronts. She's failed at everything she's tried. She's famous for being the boss from hell, unable to keep staff. She's very, very, very unpopular with voters. So surprise, surprise, the political vultures are circling. The latest is a name we haven't seen in awhile, none other than socialist Bernie Sanders: According to Politico: Top figures from Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign are privately encouraging Ro Khanna to run for president in 2024 if Joe Biden doesn’t seek a second term, giving the California congressman an important stamp of approval from progressives as the party looks to its post-Biden future.

With the Squad, the greenie lobby, the teachers' unions, and the open borders industrial complex calling the shots in the Democratic Party these days, it's obviously no picnic to be a moderate member of the Democrats in Congress. Which is why 31 of them are leaving, most fully aware that a red wave is coming. But perhaps more importantly albeit less well known is that many of them angry at how the crazed Democrats have treated them. Here's the latest exit, described by the Daily Caller: Retiring Florida Rep. Stephanie Murphy called out Democratic leadership for repeatedly siding with the left flank of the party against moderate members during a Friday interview.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the disgraced, discredited, washed-up actor who wrecked California as governor, came close to redeeming himself a little, with his beautiful nine-minute message to ordinary Russian trying to tell them the truth about the Ukraine war. (Snip for tweet) It was an amazing piece -- heartfelt, authentic, persuasive, un-spinny, and kind in tone. (Snip) There was just one problem though: The nasty short passage in Schwarzenegger's message beginning at the 3:09-minute point comparing Vladimir Putin's scorched earth war on Ukraine with what he called the Jan. 6 "insurrection."

Does Joe Biden have any idea of where he is? What he's doing? Who his vice president is? Get a load of his latest gaffe: (Snip for tweet) So after all that effort to build Kamala Harris up as presidential and leader-like, most recently sending her Europe to represent the U.S. on its most significant crisis there since World War II, making much of Harris being "the last person in the room," gaffing that Harris was president, declaring the Biden administration the Biden-Harris administration, featuring Harris in Vogue as the "most powerful" woman in the U.S., the truth comes out: Harris is a placeholder, an affirmative action hire,

Who's the best woman? USA Today has declared a string of wokesters for its 2022 'Women of the Year' honors, and one of them is Dr. Rachel Levine. Seems you need to be born a man to achieve excellence in womanhood these days. Being an actual woman is no longer enough. The awards are absurd, given that not many of the women on the list have actual accomplishments -- they're there because they're victims, like Simone Biles, radical activists like Janet Murguía, promoters of bad things like recreational marijuana, like Roopali Desai; people who deny the obvious, like fashion editor Nina Garcia who

While global focus has been on Russia's scorched earth campaign across Ukraine, Iran's malevolent mullahs haven't been napping. According to the Washington Post: BAGHDAD — Iran claimed responsibility Sunday for a barrage of ballistic missiles that hit northern Iraq just after midnight, striking several kilometers from a U.S. compound and drawing sharp condemnation from the Iraqi and U.S. capitals. The semiofficial Fars news agency said that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps had launched “powerful missiles” in response for what it described as “recent crimes of the fake Zionist regime,” an apparent reference to the killing of two of its members last week in Syria, which it has blamed on Israel.

Joe Biden should be hopping mad about inflation, which rolled in at 7.9% and is destroying the purchasing power, wage gains, and savings of the citizenry even as he touts good economic times in his speeches. Instead, he's going bonkers over the voter reaction to inflation, not the inflation itself. (Snip for tweet) "I'm sick of this stuff!" he hollered. "We have to talk about it because the American people think the reason for inflation is the government spending more money. Simply. Not. True." Which of course is perfectly true. He's wallowing in denial about it and now thinks he can yell his way into making Americans think differently.

Under pressure from a veto-proof majority in Congress, Joe Biden loudly announced a cutoff of energy purchases from Russia, amounting to about 7% of U.S. energy imports. "Russian oil will no longer be accepted at U.S. ports — and the American people will deal another powerful blow against Putin’s war machine," he tweeted. (Snip for tweet) Russia had been sending about 600,000 barrels of oil a day to the states in a big export surge, following Biden's bans on federal leases for drilling, halt to the Keystone XL pipeline, and other measures intended to bankrupt Big Oil in the name of "going green."

Body cam footage shows Dallas police asked Texas GOP chairman Allen West's wife Angela to move her car with a 3-month old baby inside during a traffic stop last summer, a request experts say directly undercuts the officers' claims they suspected she was driving drunk. The video, obtained by Just the News under an open records request, also shows officers administered Angela West a breathalyzer and expressed surprise it did not show her above the legal limit, but then omitted the existence of that test from the official police report they filed before all charges were dropped by prosecutors. After reviewing the two hours of footage, former Commissioner of the New York

As bad as Joe Biden and his wretched allies in Europe are, they aren't anywhere near the level of trouble that Vladimir Putin is, as the latter's war on Ukraine drags on with no results. Putin has not only not won his war, he's now in hock to China, as another Chinese puppet-string actor, which is a wretched booby prize to succor. China's help is likely to provide some comfort to Putin's economy in Russia for now, but it leaves Putin in roughly the same position as Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela, who only stays in power due to Russia's patronage. Richard Fernandez, via Twitter, has some observations:

Joe Biden is in a bind. Like everything else, he's blown it. Energy prices have gone through the roof, with gasoline prices at the pump pushing $6.00 a gallon in San Diego alone. They're expected to get higher, and each tic upward takes Joe down another notch in the polls. Biden has throttled U.S. capacity to produce its own energy by ending to domestic drilling leases on federal lands. He's also scuppered the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. In place of that domestic and Canadian energy, we now buy Russian oil, some 600,000 barrels a day -- which just happens to finance Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine.

We saw how his White House reached out to “brief” about 30 TikTok “influencers” on the Russian war against Ukraine. We later saw the result of that “briefing”, which was about selling why it was Vladimir Putin’s fault that the gas prices were going up, not Joe Biden. Tens of thousands of students at the City University of New York have signed a petition to cancel an opera about Emmett Till, the victim of a high-profile 1955 lynching in Mississippi, saying that the school should no longer host the show because it was written by a white woman. John Jay College of Criminal Justice student Mya Bishop created the Change.org petition in an attempt to halt the continuation of 'Emmett Till, A New American Opera' at the school's Gerald W. Video of the plane nosediving into the ground and the aftermath has emerged. As is expected with any video of this kind, viewer discretion is advised. Much is unknown at this point, but I am a commercial multi-engine pilot and a flight instructor so I can add a few points of speculation to ponder. According to the flight data available, the rapid descent started at around 30,000 feet. That would point to either a structural failure that caused a loss of flight controls or a high-altitude stall

Curley also said Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, required black people to show identification or else face questioning at the Mountain View, California campus, Reuters reported.
