Vladimir Putin today threatened to turn off Europe's gas supplies from tomorrow if countries refuse to pay in roubles. The Russian President, announcing a decree in televised remarks, said foreign buyers would have to 'open rouble accounts in Russian banks' which can be used to pay for 'gas delivered starting from tomorrow'. 'If such payments are not made, we will consider this a default on the part of buyers, with all the ensuing consequences. Nobody sells us anything for free, and we are not going to do charity either - that is, existing contracts will be stopped,' he said.

“For God’s sake this man cannot be allowed to price in rubles!” I didn’t say that! I was only expressing my view that Iran should sell us more oil and i wish vlad would hurry up and negotiate our treaty with them.

He's desperate to keep the ruble from total collapse. And the only thing Russia has to sell is raw materials.

What got us to this point? What keeps Putin yanking us by the short hairs? Energy dependence on Russia. What keeps us beholden to states like Iran that vow "death to America"? Energy dependence on such places as Iran.
When Mr. Trump left office, we were energy independent. Biden shut that down, relying on technologies that have yet to be developed and perfected to produce adequate sources of energy.
Europe is in a similar predicament because of the same sort of behavior.
They can all go to hell as far as I am concerned. Their behavior goes against common sense.

Trump warned them..out loud, to their faces...on camera...at the NATO meeting, at the G8, at the G20.
Media that covered it slammed Trump for doing so. Saying HE did not "Understand Real World Issues"

I wonder how many people Sleepy Joe is willing to sacrifice in order to cover up his sons involvement in all those Ukraine Bio-lab deals. He must really love his son if he's willing to destroy the entire planet Earth to save one person from jail.

Tomorrow is April 1st but Putin is probably not fooling. Germany is at high risk for an energy shortage which will have worldwide implications. Old Merkel picked a good time to retire.

The demorats have been giving the Russians the mean girl treatment for years, when they weren't climbing into bed with them. They made them the butt of their filthy pee-tape jokes and lost no opportunity to cast them as the west's boogyman and of course played the NATO-Ukraine card at every opportunity. You can't poke and prod the bear for years with your lances without the possibility of it breaking out of it's cage and being in a bad mood when it does so.

This is what poorly-thought out sanctions have gotten us - and Europe.
In the meantime, Lavrov is in China working to strengthen the relationship with Russia and China. India is non-committal on sanctions because they need cheap and reliable energy. None of this Green Energy crapola; reliable energy is what is needed. Where is poopy-pants? He's lecturing Florida.
Madness.

Europe is paying the price for Biden's policies. When you steal a country's (Russia) earned money via sanctions, the smart countries quickly realize trading in dollars/euros and keeping it in Western Banks is a sucker's game. The idea that the US will supply Europe with LNG is laughable. 1) There are not enough tankers to deliver. 2) The cost is much more. 3) Europe does not have the port/storage infrastructure to offload the LNG. Raw materials??? Given the current mindset, I imagine we will soon hear calls stating that the natural resources of Russia are actually the World's resources and they belong to everyone. Justification for another war. The reality is Russia and China have decided to opt-out of the corrupt system the US has imposed on the world via IMF, World Bank, and Global Banks. The dollar hegemony has now been broken and the world will be living under 2 financial systems. Russia is distancing itself from the West. Asia will be delighted to buy oil and raw materials. Russia's economy will contract but it will be immune to international threats and sanctions and after some time will rebound under the new environment. The US and West have seen this coming for years and is why we now have Biden and the WEF. The West's answer is people will once again be serfs to the Elite to prop up the failing financial system.

Keep in mind that TWO of the top five largest Oil/Gas companies in the world are Chinese State Owned, the Saudi's Aramco is now only ranked #3. RoyalDutch/Shell and BP actually cut down on drilling, production on their own to "Go Green" and buy instead from Russia....to sell to their trapped/exclusive customers.

Guess where dollars go if they're no longer used as an exchange currency? They go home (back to the USA). If you think inflation is bad now, get ready for $50 per gallon gasoline.
Check out BRICS.

The snots in the U.S. and the EU are going to have to learn that economic warfare goes both ways. The leftists of both think they are going to run the world. Global, universal, their new world order, mandatory. That is their vocabulary. It is working against your civilians. You pushed it in Ukraine. Now Putin is pushing back, and he is no civilian, but a nuclear power. I have no problem with Putin kicking the left's britches. It is badly needed and deserved. As for the EU, you will pay in rubles from now own. Next time, mind your own business.
