Disney death wish?

Few brands are more valuable than that owned by the shareholders of The Walt Disney Company, one that now is being shattered.. In 2020, Forbes rated it as number seven in the world in value. But I think this may actually understate the standing of the Disney brand. Few people would want to take a vacation at a Google resort or take a Microsoft cruise, but the allure of Disney’s brand is enough to attract vacationers from all over the world. Disney theme parks exist in the United States (2), France, China (2), and Japan, and these attract visitors from many other countries, many bringing their children along

They won't be doing this in China. China will make demands and Disney will fold. Just like Google, Facebook, Twitter and the NBA. I'll personally never visit a park again.

Why don't shareholder start suing these Board of Directors and CEO's for failure of fiduciary responsibilities when they come out "woke" which damages the brand, thus losing money! The only responsibility of a corporation is to ethically make money for share holders!

I HAD wanted to take my grandkids to Disney - not anymore. I just don't understand how so many companies think their mission is anything but making money. Taking political and what most of the population see as immoral stands only devalues the brand and jeopardizes profits. The NY Times is privately owned - maybe they don't care with the loss of journalistic stature. But the number of publicly traded companies who have betrayed their shareholders is astounding. Go woke - go broke - its what I hope.

Frankly, after seeing what Iger and Jar Jar Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy did to the Lucasfilm\Star Wars brand its wonderful to see Disney implode like this and I hope it keeps happening until they all are shriveled bits on the floor of the Devils lair. There was a reason why JRR Tolkien refused to sell Disneythe rights to film LOTR and now we see why. I was so terrorized by "It's a Small World" ringing in my ears for decades after my only visit to Disney World with my grandparents in the 70's that my wife and I never took our kids. They turned out fine. My only regret now is that now I won't be able to boycott them since I was never going there again anyway.

I believe Walt created a magic that not even cretins like Chapek can destroy, try as they may. Admittedly, a rotten element seems to have weaseled their way into the company ranks, and Chapek and other top execs are either in alignment with them or too frightened to stand up to them. Contrary to #3, I just bought a few shares. Conservatives en masse need to do likewise and get a foothold in the company and start exerting pressure on the company, starting with ousting Chapek and bringing in someone with the fortitude to stand up to the radical perverts who have seized control of Disney's corporate policy.

I'll bet most of their creative types are GAY - i.e. PIXAR which develops 100% of their online cartoon media. If they condemn PIXAR employees they shutdown their income stream for online media. I'll bet PIXAR is the part making most of the noise. Disney was planning to move 2000 creative jobs from the west coast HQ to Florida this year, but I'm guessing those people DO NOT want to move to Red Conservative Florida and live under the laws of Governor DeSantis. This new law is an excuse to make noise and stop or delay that move. If so, Disney needs to dump PIXAR ASAP and not allow the 1% to influence the company. If they lose park employees, they can be replaced. I'm betting they cant afford to lose their GAY cartooner's which nets hundreds of millions in Disney Plus streaming services.

Walt Disney is rolling in his grave. This beautiful park was for children to enjoy their young years dreaming. Now, they are being bombarded with perverts and social justice maniacs. As an adult, I don't want to have people in my face because they prefer to have sex with their horse or whatever. As an aside, it seems that over 80% of people who were convinced to go through expensive and I am sure emotional turmoil to be physically transition have regretted doing so to the point where many have committed suicide. A 5 year-old should not be convinced that they are the wrong gender. Leave them alone!

It's been brewing for a while with Disney this didn't change overnight. The pervert Nazis took hold of Disney emerging at an opportune time not being subtle about it. The changing times, 'anything goes in public' in your face opened the demon door for the mentally ill perverts. Just imagine there is nothing that goes together like a young child and cartoons. The sickos at Disney owns that one so what a better way to create a 'happy hunting ground' target rich with fresh victims and dumb down parents. How can a woman be so lucky to just happen to have one transgender child and one pangender child (whatever that is)? The adult mother is the mentally ill one in this. I'm older with grown children and grandchildren so Disney will never see a dollar spent from our family, but I feel sorry for the young parents raising children who might desire to visit or view a Disney cartoon choose wisely people.

That sound one hears is the sound of travel agent phones ringing off the hook with cancellations to Disney World. In retrospect, when I visited Disney World forty years ago, it never occurred to me that a place like Disney World is exactly the kind of place gays would flock to. It's all fantasy all the time. The rate at which he must be spinning in his grave at how the evil perverts have corrupted his company must have him turning in his grave so fast that they could power most of Florida that way!!!! This wouldn't exactly be news to anyone who has to buy Obamacare health care insurance... But for perspective, here's the latest on the 2010 government health care takeover that had been so vaunted in the press as Your-Government-Here-To-Help: [tweet] The average family health insurance premium in the US has more than tripled since the "affordable" care act was signed into law back in 2010. The biggest beneficiaries: health insurers. United Health Group (the largest US insurer) is up 1,750% vs. a 389% gain for the S&P 500 (snip) So much for President Obama's claim that his signature health care bill would cut insurance costs and everyone would be so grateful and happy.

Back in 1967, the Reedy Creek Improvement District agreement was created to lure Disney to Florida. The agreement allows the district governmental powers to facilitate recreational projects and tourism. Florida's legislature felt that it would benefit the state if recreational organizations had the power to act as their own government in areas like property development, water control, public utilities, law enforcement, and fire protection.
