A Disney executive in charge of content vowed to up the ante on gender politics during an all-hands meeting, promising that at least half of the characters in its productions will be LGBTIA or minority by the end of the year. General entertainment president Karey Burke choked up during the company-wide Zoom call Monday, saying the issue hit close to home because of her children. 'I'm here as the mother of two queer children, actually, one transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader,' she said. During the same all-hands meeting, television animation executive producer Latoya Raveneau gushed about Disney's inclusivity.

Centrist Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Tuesday shot down President Biden's new plan to raise $360 billion in revenue by imposing a 20 percent minimum tax on billionaires, a proposal the president formally unveiled Monday in his budget request to Congress.
Manchin says he doesn't support the president's plan to tax the unrealized gains of billionaires, which would set a new precedent by taxing the value an asset accrues in theory before it is actually sold and converted into cash.
"You can't tax something that's not earned. Earned income is what we're based on," he told The Hill. "There's other ways to do it. Everybody has to pay their

Joe Biden was never smart.
When I interned in Congress for two summers many years ago, other congressional members openly referred to him as one of the dumbest men on Capitol Hill. Staffers and interns, including ones who worked for Democrats, made fun of him.
Old age and dementia have done this dull man no favors. That was apparent over the weekend when Biden, stupidly even for him, went off script and called for regime change in Russia. It also was apparent a few months ago, when Biden may have precipitated the war by, according to President Zelensky's account of their phone call, encouraging Ukraine to apply

Last Friday, the operations director of the Russian General Staff, Sergei Rudskoy, gave an otherworldly “update” on the status of the “special military operation” or “limited incursion” or anything but a war going on in Ukraine. In that update, he claimed that Russia had never tried to capture Kiev (pronounced “Keef” if you work for NPR or are named Christiane Amanpour). The Russian Army was not, contrary to popular belief, getting drubbed outside Kiev; it was just holding the Ukrainians in place as the master plan unfolded in Donbas (see Russia’s General Staff Claims Invasion Objectives ‘Mainly Accomplished’ and Phase II of Ukraine Invasion Is Starting).

Joe Biden seldom talks extemporaneously. He has a teleprompter in front of him, so all he has to do is read aloud.
Even at that, however, is too much for him. On his recent trip to Europe, he lacked the focus to simply read what was in front of him. The choreographed show was basically one big photo-op for him to portray himself as a leader, statesman and sentient being.
He failed. He insisted on ad-libbing over and over, to the detriment and detriment of himself, Ukraine, America and the world.

President Joe Biden was babbling dangerously during his recent trip to Poland to shore up the NATO alliance against Russia’s murderous invasion of Ukraine. And as he babbled and babbled, his White House staff poured sawdust on the puddles and tried cleaning it up again and again.
The man just would not stop.
Biden’s wide-open mouth was a firehose of senile anger, shooting out a torrent of unfocused danger. His words won’t shorten the conflict, but will likely prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people. His babbling strengthens Vladimir Putin in Russia, while dragging America and the rest of the world ever closer to nuclear confrontation.

In the days following Joe Biden’s call for regime change in Russia, a comment that was walked back by the White House before Biden managed to reassert it, there have been lots of different takes regarding whether he was “correct” to say what he said or not.
The foreign policy establishment, because they can never think more than one step ahead, absolutely loved it. It was Biden’s “tear down this wall” moment they asserted without a second thought for what it actually meant to call for Vladimir Putin’s ouster without any viable plan to bring that about. From there, accusations of being pro-Putin if one didn’t agree with Biden predictably emerged.

President Joe Biden appeared to reveal that the U.S. is training Ukrainian forces in Poland — stating for the first time since the war began that American troops are actively teaching Ukrainians to fight and kill Russians.
The United States has been providing billions of dollars in weapons and other assistance to Ukraine, with much of that aid going through Poland. The president spent part of last week in the country, meeting with U.S. troops stationed in the southeast and delivering a speech about the West’s unity in the face of Russian aggression.
But to date, the Biden administration has painstakingly made the case that that is as far as they’ll go.

Two small trucks, one of them branded with the logo for Sabritas, a potato chip company, were used to block the highway leading to the cockfighting arena. And yet, it is also a country bravely standing up to one of the largest and best-equipped militaries on earth. This courage, this love of home and country, this willingness to sacrifice life and fortune – this is the subject of American envy.

And we’ve got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it.” It has been just thirty years since George H. W. Bush promised a new world order, and apparently, that one is already gotten stale. So Old Joe is going to bring us a still newer one,

While many expected that Brett Kavanaugh, after his brutal treatment at the hands of the left during his mess of a confirmation hearing, would remain firmly entrenched on the right, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Instead, he just sided with the left on a major issue, setting the stage for Team Biden to start discharging unvaxxed Navy SEALs.
While conservative justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch dissented and argued that the SEALs should not be discharged for refusing the jab, Kavanaugh concurred with the leftist majority, writing:

There was a lot of crazy effort from folks on the left to try to provide some cover for Joe Biden’s big gaffe seemingly pushing regime change as to Vladimir Putin.
We even saw Never Trumper “expert” Tom Nichols get upset with CNN because they finally had a truthful chyron — just quoting what Biden said about Putin.
The White House walked that back, claiming that Biden’s point was that “Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region. He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.” Then Biden messed that up, saying he wasn’t walking anything back but saying

People are still processing Will Smith’s assault of Chris Rock during Sunday night’s basement-rated Oscar telecast. The shock of the ugliness froze everything. Never before has something like this happened, certainly not at the Academy Awards, which used to be seen as the classiest awards show of them all.(Snip) The very thing that (I believe) triggered Smith’s meltdown — his wife publicly humiliating him as a cuckold, is about to be talked about and examined more than ever. It’s one thing for Jada to have affairs. This is Hollywood, after all. But for her to openly discuss those affairs on a podcast is beyond the beyond.

Does Joe Biden know what he's talking about?
A few stale weeks after being being rebuffed by Congress and many Democrat economists over his $3.5 trillion "build back better" spendathon, he's tweeting up a storm about being a deficit cutter, while vowing even more big government spending. (Snip for tweets) This does not compute.
And for good measure, he blamed Trump, gaslighting voters into thinking he's really Mr. Fiscal Discipline: (Snip for tweet) Hearing this spendathon artist blame President Trump for "fiscal management" is something just a little beyond the pot calling the kettle black.
Yes, Trump spent a lot. But he also cut government.

A new political action committee led by parents to counter the legalization of drugs, particularly marijuana, will launch in Colorado on Tuesday.
The PAC, Protect Our Kids, is made up of parents adamantly opposed to recent policies at state and federal levels to decriminalize drugs, such as marijuana and psychedelics. It’s the brainchild of Luke Niforatos, the executive vice president of the anti-marijuana legalization group Smart Approaches to Marijuana.

In the mid-1980s, during a trip to Vermont, I discovered a fledgling ice cream company called Ben & Jerry’s. I was impressed by its quality, and set up a meeting with Ben Cohen. We bonded immediately, and I pitched him a plan to bring Ben & Jerry’s to Israel. That’s how I became the company’s first licensee.
But now, after three decades, I am being forced out of my license because I refuse to discriminate against my neighbors.
(Snip) People loved it. I began manufacturing, selling and distributing Chunky Monkey and Cherry Garcia to Israeli and Palestinian cities. Muslims, Jews, Christians, Druze—everyone ate it up.

President Biden had a meltdown at his press conference on Monday. He continuously denied the reality of his numerous recent misstatements that the White House had to embarrassingly ‘walk back,’ and lashed out after repeated grilling.
But one of the most humiliating things to come out of his press conference is a glimpse at the handheld notecard his White House handlers gave him to handle “tough” Putin Q&A talking points.
It looks like the White House had had enough of Biden’s continuous gaffes and gave him a ‘cheat sheet’ so that he wouldn’t ‘screw it up.’ Spoiler alert: He screwed it up. The notecard shows that he was given the answer

While President Joe Biden was in Brussels and Warsaw showing U.S. solidarity with Ukraine, the 38-year-old autocrat who rules North Korea made a bold bid for the president’s attention.
For the first time since 2017, Kim Jong Un test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwasong-17, the largest road-mobile missile ever launched.
While it flew 600 miles from Pyongyang into the Sea of Japan, the mammoth missile flew for 71 minutes, reaching an altitude of 3,852 miles.
Had it been fired in a normal trajectory, its missile warheads could have reached Washington, D.C., and every city in the USA.

It looked world-historical, but it was just Old Joe having another senior moment: During a Saturday speech in Warsaw, Joe Biden declared, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” referring, of course, to Vladimir Putin. As PJM’s Matt Margolis pointed out, “Bill Kristol actually hailed the remark as a historic call to action on par with Ronald Reagan.” Kristol wasn’t alone: The establishment media erupted in a chorus of hosannas for Old Joe, the newly anointed global statesman, until, that is, several key European leaders made it known that they weren’t at all happy with what Joe said and were glad that his handlers walked it back.

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that President Joe Biden’s declaration that he was referring to helping train Ukrainian troops while trying to fix previous statements he’s made was either an untrue statement or Biden revealing classified information, and the situation is “like Mr. Magoo as president, where every time he explains one thing, it gets worse and worse and worse and we’ve got nuclear weapons pointed at each other.”
Cruz said, “I’ve got to say, Sean, watching the cascade of blunders from Biden, that’s five gaffes in 48 hours,

The first line in President Joe Biden’s budget statement, released Monday, is “Budgets are statements of values, and the budget I am releasing today sends a clear message.”
Biden’s right that his $5.8 trillion budget sends a clear message. The message is that he will say and do anything, no matter how disconnected from reality it is. The rest of his statement is itself full of lies and half-truths.
For example, Biden brags that he’s cut the deficit in half in his first year, making it “the largest one-year reduction in the deficit in U.S. history.” That’s technically true but

Today, unquestionably serious cardiovascular, thrombotic and neurologic adverse events related to the vaccine have occurred around the world. The FDA’s own vaccine adverse event tracking system (the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System or VAERS) shows substantial and serious risks from the vaccine, even though the FDA only collects an estimated 10% of all adverse events.
Still, federal agencies and manufacturers aren’t officially warning the American public about these risks, despite having been privy to this information for almost a whole year. Why? Because it would counter the narrative that taking endless vaccines and boosters is your patriotic duty.

Last week, Joe Biden made three serious gaffes, forcing the White House to “clarify” or walk back his statements. But when he was called out on them on Monday by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, he denied that any of his remarks were ever walked back.“Are you worried that other leaders in the world are going to start to doubt that America is back if some of these big things that you say on the world stage keep getting walked back?” Doocy asked?“What getting walked back?” Biden demanded, apparently seriously.“It may sound like, just in the last couple days—it sounded like you told U.S. troops they were

The nightlife mayor is back at it.Mayor Eric Adams could be seen partying with model Cara Delevingne and hip hop artist A$AP Rocky during an event at One Vanderbilt in Manhattan on Monday night. The mayor urged New Yorkers to get their “butts back” to the city during the promotional event for a Wells Fargo credit card that lets people pay their rent with the plastic.“So everyone who moved to Florida, get your butts back to New York City because New York City is where you want to be,” Adams said from the stage.
