While many expected that Brett Kavanaugh, after his brutal treatment at the hands of the left during his mess of a confirmation hearing, would remain firmly entrenched on the right, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Instead, he just sided with the left on a major issue, setting the stage for Team Biden to start discharging unvaxxed Navy SEALs.
While conservative justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch dissented and argued that the SEALs should not be discharged for refusing the jab, Kavanaugh concurred with the leftist majority, writing:

Hugely disappointing.
I’m still wondering if a young Justice, with young children, is a good idea.

Kavanaugh and Amy. Disappointments. She was predictable. He was not. I thought Gorsuch would turn out to be the ringer.
Now you know why I don’t play the horses!

I am not so sure. I bet there would be separations if they refused malaria shots or any other vax required by the Navy. The fact that this gene therapy doesn't work and is dangerous should be a reason for the Navy not to require it.

The SC has always left the Military alone, "courts traditionally have been reluctant to intrude upon the authority of the Executive in military and national security affairs.” So actually this ruling is the conservative ruling. If they had set a legal precedent and over ruled the military who knows what will happen the next time some liberal case comes to the SC.

While this is disappointing the ruling basically affirms that the President is the CIC and that legal orders are to be followed ... even if the CIC is an A$$-whole.
Now if the story was that only Caucasian sailors had to get the clot-shot, that would be an interesting story and a totally illegal order.

Look at the state of law schools today, and especially the Ivy League law schools where many of the candidates for the Supreme Court come from. The recent student actions at Yale should give one a glimpse into what future Supreme Court justices will look like and remember this type of activity and mind set has been going on in these schools for decades. Finding another Thomas or Alito is going to be almost impossible to find.

Terrible policy from the worst subhuman diaper soiling soulless president in US history. With only superficial study i find the “courts should stay out of the military chain of command” reasoning persuasive. Of course the “vaccines” don’t work and are dangerous. So should the courts stay out of an irrational chain of command?

No one should hope that Supreme Court justices will cast their votes in any case based in any way regarding how they were treated or mistreated by politicians during their confirmation hearings.
Based on my experience in the U.S. Army, this decision was not even a close call. The Supreme Court has no special expertise regarding the necessity or lack of necessity regarding vaccinating soldiers. While in the Army I witnessed many instances where soldiers (in the infantry and armor) were ordered to submit to far more intrusive and life changing medically related procedures than taking any vaccines. You either obeyed or you would be court martialed, but you had the choice.

Military discipline and command have never been a place SCOTUS has found itself meddling. These SEALS were given a choice. They honorably made one. Now they can honorably depart the service having known the alternative. To have ruled otherwise would have opened the floodgates to challenge everything/anything in the military. This is not unique in that sense. When you take the King's shilling... What a waste.

Ruling aside. When I was on active duty, I was considered property of the US Government. Active duty personnel do not share the same constitutional rights that civilians enjoy. The military can mandate medical treatment or withold it. In the Navy, wisdom teeth are pulled in boot camp wether there is a problem or not. We lined up for shots. Not only was refusing not an option, they didn't tell you what the shot was for, unless you asked. My commander could and did override the doctor. Broken toe? Run the PT anyway. Knee surgery? To bad, drive into work.
So...
This ruling doesn't surprise me at all.

It isn't the age of the Justice that is important here. It is his or her willingness to properly interpret the constitution. I don't mean to be nasty towards Catholics in general, but it seems like this could start an anti-catholic sentiment again when it comes to nominations to this court.
Also, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh tend to take the case as it is written, then rule on that. That tells me our lawyer class are deceitful and terrible writers. Words mean things, and these two as nominees told the country they were not in the business to read the minds of the lawyers.

Funny how conservatives want a strict Constitutionalist on the SC but then get bent out of shape when the conservative SC picks don't adhere to the political identities of those who appointed them.
News Flash - they are not SUPPOSED to adhere to a political identity.
Conservative-appointed justices do their jobs and for the most part are able to apply the LAW objectively and fairly. Liberals rarely do that. But that does not mean we should abandon the job description and play by the same flawed rules and principles.
The military places all kinds of demands upon its soldiers. They have to perform at a level of physicality that the average person will fail at. There are rules and regulations and if getting jabbed is one of them, despite the fact that I do not agree with this condition for their service, it is a legitimate exercise of the administrative branch to enact this measure.
There is no RIGHT to military service. One can always find another line of work, just like the rest of the world.

Why does this happen REPEATEDLY on the right, and NEVER on the left? How often did Ginsberg side with the conservatives? Now, how often did Roberts side with the progressives?

These Seals cost us a ton of money to train. Getting rid of them because they won't take a free jab is crazy. Especially now when the Covid is winding down.

What happened to religious exemption? Don't they know these vaccines shots are known as "clot shots" and could kill these young men? Or do these Supremes care? These shots are experimental and are not safe...many have died. It's like Russian Roulette taking these vaccine shots or is this the purpose or reason Biden et al want it done, to weed out the non compliers from the rest, and reduce the population in the meantime. We are dealing with evil, evil people.

Good, stand your ground all unvaxxed US military personnel you don't want to serve under the Vegetable in Chief, Joe Biden the coward fraud. Go home and thank you for your service and training. Only fraud Joe Biden can drop this order but take the decision made by all the cowards that be, including the Supreme Joke Court.

I think that the justices have been threaten by the left or the deep state. The only one that they cannot control is Clarence Thomas. That is why they want to destroy him. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I ran an immunization clinic, RAF Sculthorpe, England, in 1960.
And I never had anyone refuse the shots. Never.
