President Joe Biden’s Saturday speech mentioning that Vladimir Putin “cannot remain in power” is getting strong reactions on cable news, with the administration later saying his comment was not about changing regimes or overthrowing the government. Biden said in his speech Saturday that Putin is “a dictator bent on rebuilding an empire” and that Ukraine will “never be a victory for Russia.” “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden continued. A White House official later retracted those comments, clarifying that the president was not suggesting a regime change or overthrow of Russia. “The president’s point was that

President Joe Biden is reportedly planning to propose a new 'minimum tax' targeting billionaires, establishing a 20 percent levy on all American households worth more than $100 million. The White House plans to unveil the 'Billionaire Minimum Income Tax' on Monday as part of Biden's 2023 budget plan, according to the Washington Post. But it would have to pass through Congress to become law, and would likely face stiff opposition from some quarters. The proposal aims to close a purported loophole that benefits the nation's 700-odd billionaires, many of whom have most of their wealth in stock, which is not taxed until it is sold for a profit.

President Joe Biden is trying to protect Ukraine from further Russian escalation by publicly expanding policy justifications for a U.S. nuclear attack, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal on Friday.
The leaked expansion reverses his 2020 campaign pledge, which declared that the “sole purpose” of U.S. nuclear weapons would be the deterrence of a nuclear attack. The reversal was leaked to the Wall Street Journal as U.S. officials worry that Russia might escalate the border war in Ukraine amid the crippling setbacks caused by U.S.-supplied anti-tank missiles, anti-artillery drones, and economic sanctions. Some members of Biden’s administration — and many progressives — are pushing for a huge victory against Vladimir Putin,

Story at-a-glance
A small batch of documents released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in mid-November 2021 revealed that in the first three months of the COVID jab rollout, Pfizer received 42,086 adverse event reports that included 1,223 deaths
The first really large tranche of Pfizer documents — some 10,000 pages — was released by the FDA March 1, 2022.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Friday in favor of the Pentagon, temporarily granting the department’s request to let U.S. Navy commanders consider COVID-19 vaccination status when deciding whether to deploy Navy SEALs or other Navy Special Warfare personnel.
The 6-3 ruling overturns a district court order in January, and is in place until ongoing litigation is resolved in other lower courts.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, wrote in a concurring opinion (pdf): “In this case, the District Court, while no doubt well-intentioned, in effect inserted itself into the Navy’s chain of command, overriding military commanders’ professional military judgments.”

Pay for the food of the developing world or face another migrant crisis — this is the ultimatum the head of the UN’s World Food Programme has put to Europe’s leaders. The dramatic warning comes as the global organisation begins to struggle to pay for the food it gives to famine-stricken parts of the world, with the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine disrupting food supply globally and, by extension, driving up prices.

KBJ is the person whom biologist Joe Biden assures us is “a black woman” in accordance with his earlier promise to nominate a person of that sex and color as a great act of noblesse oblige for which he, as a non-black non-woman, we think, should be honored in history, especially in view of his dementia.
We have to take Joe’s word for all this. Since she’s not a biologist, KBJ herself is unable to confirm that she’s a woman and it’s not clear whether she’s able to confirm that she’s black.

President Biden on Saturday attended a meeting of Ukrainian officials in Poland in an attempt to smooth things over after the war-torn country’s top officials slammed the lack of action during this week’s emergency NATO summit. The White House said Mr. Biden will drop by a meeting between Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and their Ukrainian counterparts, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.(Snip)Mr. Biden told the ministers about his own experiences traveling by rail. “You’re looking at a fellow who’s traveled over a million, 200,000 miles on a train. We've heard a lot about how elites conspired (and bragged) about manipulating the 2020 election in their favor, claiming they had 'saved democracy.' We've learned about how Zuckerbucks ensured that private resources were spent under color of authority to 'get out the vote' but only for some districts, while elected officials who had that job were sidelined. We've learned that Twitter and much of the rest of the social media juggernaut conspired (Snip) But the great cheating machine didn't stopped at those outrages. When lawmakers attempted to correct some of the issues that contributed to the fraud through legislating better laws, they came for the kids.

According to AOC, those nearly 10 billion humans will place a major burden on the Earth. With what they need to live a comfortable existence — the house, car, utilities, food, travel, and other services, each with its own carbon footprint — those ten billion will increase carbon emissions by at least 43%. Just the livestock that human beings raise emit 37% of non-natural methane emissions, 23 times more damaging than all the CO2 from cars. From an environmental perspective, 10 billion humans seems an unacceptable number. For radicals like AOC, here are two solutions.

President Joe Biden is abandoning a campaign vow to alter longstanding US nuclear doctrine, and will instead embrace existing policy that reserves America's right to use nukes in a first-strike scenario, according to multiple reports. As Russian forces continue their bloody assault on Ukraine, Biden is under pressure from NATO allies not to abandon the right to use nuclear weapons to deter conventional attacks.Since the Cold War, American policy has allowed for first-strike use of nuclear weapons under 'extreme circumstances,' such as responding to an invasion by conventional forces, or chemical or biological attacks.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis this week signed legislation into law requiring that high school students in the state take a financial literacy course in order to graduate.
The bill, titled the Dorothy L. Hukill Financial Literacy Act, requires students to take a half-credit in personal financial literacy and money management. The legislation requires that the course cover basic skills, such as how to manage a bank account, balance a checkbook, complete a loan application and compute federal income taxes.

The registered sex offender who was given three months in prison by Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, nominated for the Supreme Court by President Joe Biden, is speaking out and seemingly thanking the judge for her lenient sentence in his case.In 2013, Jackson sentenced then-19-year-old Wesley Hawkins to three months in prison, three months of home confinement, and six years of supervision after he was convicted of possessing child pornography where boys 8 to 12-years-old were depicted in sex acts.
Specifically, Hawkins was found with 17 videos and 16 images of child pornography.
Federal sentencing guidelines called for Hawkins to receive eight to ten years in prison, but prosecutors took into account

Donald Trump’s 2015 rise, his incredible 2016 victory, and his remarkable political resilience since then, together constitute one of the most important developments in American political history. (Snip) Much like Donald Trump, Vance has aroused the wrath of establishment Republicans and Democrats for questioning D.C. orthodoxy. He has stood up for January 6 political prisoners and demanded closer investigation of Capitol provocateur Ray Epps. He’s called out America’s “third world” election system and demanded real reforms. And most recently, Vance has joined Tucker Carlson as one of the few voices anywhere on the political spectrum rejecting the rush to escalation and possible nuclear war over Ukraine.

For Germany, their greatest national sin is undoubtedly the Holocaust. But for most other Western countries, including the United States, slavery is the single most reprehensible aspect of a nation’s history. This notion holds true for Great Britain, France, Spain, and scores of others. Slavery was a horrific crime against humanity. But like the Holocaust, slavery was unique in its horror, and drawing comparisons of other injustices to it are almost always ill-advised. So too is the practice of attributing modern phenomena as being remnants of slavery, because in doing so we trivialize the brutality of that horrible institution.

Last Wednesday, The New York Times reported on the continuing criminal investigation into Hunter Biden, and in doing so finally acknowledged the emails recovered from the laptop abandoned at a Delaware repair shop were authentic. Since then, much of the media’s coverage has focused on the corrupt press’ burying of the laptop scandal The New York Post broke shortly before the 2020 election.
There is much more to be gleaned from the Times’s article, though, including these four takeaways.

Californians in San Diego are driving across the border into Mexico for cheaper gas.
Gas prices in California are averaging $6 a gallon thanks to a combination of Joe Biden’s war on domestic energy production and high taxes in the Golden State.
The gas prices in Tijuana cost an average of $3.96 a gallon – a whopping $2 a gallon cheaper than in California.
Large banners at the Mexican gas stations advertising their cheap gas prices take a shot a Joe Biden’s America: “Cheaper than in the USA!”

Fresh off her suspension from “The View” for saying “the Holocaust wasn’t racist,” Whoopi Goldberg is making headlines once again.
The 66-year-old actress, known for her roles in the movies “Sister Act” and “Ghost,” is no stranger to making controversial statements. It was just last month that “The View” suspended her from the program for her widely panned comments claiming the Holocaust wasn’t about race.
Now she’s on a tear about the British Royal Family, deploring their role in the country’s imperialist past and calling on them to apologize for what she perceives to be the British Empire’s historical sins.

An angry and desperate Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) unleashed her spokesperson Jeremy Adler on House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) Thursday, who excoriated him for endorsing her 2022 midterm election opponent and not rejecting right-wing, Trump supporters in the Republican Party.
“A leader with honor would be rejecting – not protecting – the pro-Putin, anti-Semitic, white nationalist members of the party, instead of fighting against Liz Cheney for telling the truth,” Adler proclaimed via Twitter. Cheney retweeted his sentiments in apparent approval of his phrasing and linked to a CNN story it first appeared in where McCarthy called his endorsement of Harriet Hageman, Cheney’s Trump-endorsed GOP challenger, a “special case.”

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “Deadline” that the Republicans were going to use “straight-out racially charged whistles” during the midterm elections.
Guest-host Alicia Menendez said, “Let’s just talk about what the Jackson hearings tells us about the upcoming midterm battles, issues, and stereotypes they repeatedly tried to tap into here. Portraying Democrats, portraying Judge Jackson as being soft on crime, bringing up abortion and racist baby books, trying to victimize themselves by invoking previous Supreme Court hearings. Any question what the midterm fight is going to look like after what we watched this week?”
Sharpton said, “It is very clear they are going to use all kinds of dog whistles

California’s average gas price reached a record high of $5.90 per gallon on Friday, according to AAA.
Just last month, the state’s average gas price was $4.79. One year ago, the average price of gas in the state was $3.88, a full $2.02 less.
Nationwide, the average price of gas ($4.24) has increased by about 70 cents since Russia invaded Ukraine. But gas prices had already risen about a full $1.00 since President Joe Biden assumed office and waged war on American energy independence. [Tweet]
Throughout his first year in office, Biden has made it difficult for oil companies to gain financing to drill on private lands.

A few days ago, porn star Stormy Daniels lost her appeal in her failed defamation suit against Donald Trump; she now owed more than $300,000 in legal fees to President Trump.
"I will go to jail before I pay a penny," a defiant Daniels tweeted after the ruling.
Daniels also posted a lengthy statement on Twitter where she claimed Trump had won the case “on a technicality” because her former lawyer, Michael Avenatti, failed to file a notice of appeal in her defamation suit on time.
Avenatti himself was convicted in Manhattan federal court last month for defrauding Daniels out of money she was owed in a book deal

Being a Republican voter is no easy thing. Social media censor you. Companies fire you. The Department of Justice persecutes you. Democrats assault and harass you. And all the while, most Republican Party "leaders" stand back and do nothing as they watch. We've got the only political party in modern history controlled by a small group of elected officials who fundamentally disagree with the prevailing viewpoints of 90% of the voters who put them in office. Election after election, their unstated yet indisputable campaign slogan is simply, "Vote for us because we don't hate you quite as much as the other guys."

An 18-year-old Maine man and two other teens, one in Chicago and another in Kentucky, conspired to attack a Chicago mosque with homemade explosives this month, new court documents reveal—until the FBI unraveled the plot. The Muslim call to prayer will soon be heard regularly in parts of Minneapolis. Minneapolis mosques can now publicly broadcast the adhan, or call to prayer, over loudspeakers without acquiring a permit and so long as they abide by the city's amplified noise ordinance. Arabic words like "Allahu akbar," which means "God is great," will be heard ringing out from mosques around the city.
Minneapolis City Council Member Jamal Osman announced this week that mosques will be allowed to play the adhan several times between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily and all year round. The City Council unanimously supported the broadcasts
