New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and other large cities lost the most residents during the pandemic city exodus last year as about 75 per cent of U.S. counties experienced a loss in population, according to a new report from the U.S. Census Bureau. The agency revealed on Thursday that American's fled metropolitan areas between April 2020 to July 2021 in favor of the South West, with Dallas, Houston, Austin and Phoenix among those to see the largest growth last year. The Census Bureau said: 'In 2021, fewer births, an aging population and increased mortality - intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic - contributed to a rise in

Unfortunately, a large portion of those refugees brought both the ChiCom virus and the leftist brain rot virus with them.
I'm sure some are good conservatives, but probably a minority.

Please don't come to Houston!
We've got mosquitoes the size of vultures. We let our little kids hunt them with shotguns in the backyard!
Rabid packs of Chupacabra roam the streets attacking joggers.
Alligators live in every creek unless they've been eaten by the skunk-apes, Roogaroo (Swamp Werewolves that migrated from Louisiana), Sasquatch and Dogmen. When they run out out gators they hunt children and carry them off into the Sam Houston Nation Forest!
There are water moccasins, copper heads, coral snakes, and rattlers (all poisonous snakes)
Black widow and brown recluse spiders abound. We have tarantulas the size of your hand that hunt kittens and puppies.
Do you think murder hornets are bad? Try cicada killer wasp! they're 3.5 inches of pain-causing insect.
Fire ants anyone?
Houston (all central Texas ) is at the junction of the three main allergy belts in North America. If you have allergies they are worse here.
Because the city is built on a swamp even new houses have roaches.
Houston is the only city where women wear insect repellent as perfume.
We drive 80 mph bumper to bumper, in the rain, on ice, never use blinkers and shoot at out of state license plates and You-hauls.
Big potholes are so common that we call them Botchos in Tex-Mex. Small potholes are Sons of Botcho
Somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of all adults carry a concealed pistol. If you get rude and start cursing they WILL draw down on you and put your Yankee *** in the cemetery. (This is actually true!)

This isn't surprising. All those states with cities that lost all have demonrat governors who don't know how to lead, much less rule without spending more of the taxpayers money.

Looks like democrats are on a quest to make Texas blue. One thing you have to always remember, never, ever vote for a democrat for any office if you want your community to thrive. They are toxic to good governance.

Interesting. People were not fleeing big cities, just big cities in Democrat controlled states.

Also interesting, the Austin metropolitan area grew by 53,300, but most of that growth was outside of liberal Austin and in the formerly rural Republican controlled counties surrounding Austin. Over half was in Williamson County to the North. The article does not list the population increases in the other counties surrounding Austin, but Bastrop and Hays Counties to the East and South of Austin constituted nearly all of the rest of the growth in the Austin metropolitan area.

And scorpions, #2. Don't forget scorpions.
Plus our roaches can fly and are big enough to mistake for hummingbirds.

I may be looking at this through rose colored glasses but I can’t help but think that those fleeing are conservatives. Why would the left want to escape their utopian shiiteholes? They got exactly what they voted for.
Not too long ago the house next door to us was bought by a young family who came from San Diego. When I asked why they would leave such a lovely climate and area to come to hot, humid and bug infested South Carolina, they said, “Crime and taxes”. I’ve never asked their political affiliation but they send their kids to a Christian school. They give me hope.

I'm glad I live in a poor little state with beautiful desert scenery. There are no jobs, education in the bottom five states nothing to see here but all those California plates I see are just passing through on to Texas. Sorry for Texas and Florida you have fun at a picnic then the ants show up.

From a Floridian.
Caution in regards to all the people wanting to move here from New York and California as well other heavily populated cities across the country, as well as those wanting to visit.
Before you come to Florida to visit, you must be aware of what is happening here, especially around the St Johns River! There's a housing shortage, rent has tripled, and folks are vacationing here in record numbers...
So if you plan on moving here, or just plan on vacationing in our woods, river bottoms, or lakes this summer, I think you should know that wolf spiders, fire ants and bedbugs have infested hotels and motels across the area due to dryer than usual weather. The woods will eat you alive with ticks and chiggers.
Our lakes are full of gators, fresh water sharks, and creepy old guys wearing speedos
Our rivers are full of drunks in tubes peeing themselves while the banjo players lay waiting in the bushes.
Panthers have eaten many domesticated animals and possibly some small children.
The local bear and coyote population are all 'in heat' and think your wife/girlfriend is hot.
Snakes... don’t even get me started on the copper headed rattle moccasins here and the diamond back water Cobras.
The poison ivy has overtaken all other vegetation
We have had bear sightings at every park and town! They are after your picnic baskets….and some cougars have been spotted in motel rooms.
Watch out for the trash pandas and possums; they have been extremely aggressive this season.
We have Bigfoot invading our parks and it’s their mating season. Porcupines are "stabbing" small children should they dare to utilize the local playground equipment.
Skunks have made their way over and multiplied at unprecedented rates and wander the local campgrounds in packs looking for beer.
Murder hornets!?! We’ve got great black clouds of murder hornets, and swarms of giant crickets and even some of the biggest mosquitos known to man.
Scorpions have been congregating in massive quantities under rocks, logs, wooden steps, automobiles, and tarantulas are now stealing peoples food and biting like crazy.
I’m pretty sure all private tiger owners (we had a jump in them after Tiger King) have released their cats into the streets of our cities and towns.
Head lice now fly and we have vampire bats.
Driving is different here too! Right lane is for the speed limit if you must, middle is for people in a rush typically 70-85, and the left lane is for people running from the police, seriously trying to break the law or driving a minimum of 90 MPH. Mustang owners, just do the best you can, it’s ok.
Oh and no one is vaccinated!
Come at your own risk!
I hear North Dakota and Iowa are really nice though...
(Go ahead and steal it...I did)

Not a surprise...I fled Chicago when obama won....I knew it was the start of the end for Chicago...instead of being the Windy City...they became the crime/filled city...and the new Supreme Court candidate will bring her love of child predators and porno junkies to the high court...and vote to kill babies that some woman is discarding for convenience sake...a dear friend once said...God never sends a baby...He doesn't send a loaf of bread....

Democrats invading Texas are part of a strategy that is in place on our southern border. On its current population trajectory, Texas is set to become the most populous state in the US; therefore, the dems cannot allow it to remain a red state and will pull out all stops to make it blue. I'd much rather we just have a good old fashion civil war than suffer death by a thousand cuts.

So, this leads to the first question, have they updated the voter registration rolls in each of those cities?
That would be reductions in some cities, and additions in others, right?
Can't imagine you can simply issue a ballot to everyone on the voter registration rolls if they can't certify they are accurate. And, that doesn't count removing all those who've died too.
Then, make sure the chain of custody can be certified too, particularly at drop boxes.

#18, Speaking as a resident of Cal-unicorn-ia, they definitely do not purge the voting rolls of people that have moved or died. In 2020, they sent all voters vote-by-mail ballots ('cause covid!!!), often multiple ballots per voter. During daylight hours, ballot-harvesters swoop through and check all the unsecured mailboxes for ballots.
They cranked out another "enhancement" to help with defeating the recall of Gov. Nuisance - print your own ballot! They pitched this as a protection ('cause covid!!!) - you wouldn't have to touch the multiple ballots mailed to you (and get covid!!!). No, you could just print out your ballot, vote, then mail it back (but don't touch that mailbox!). No mention was made about only doing this once...
