New Yorkers working in Manhattan are so fed up with rampant crime that 40 percent said they want to leave the Empire State—with more than eight of ten people saying the Big Apple has gone to hell, according to a recent poll. The Morning Consult poll, conducted for Partnership for New York, surveyed 9,386 adults working in New York City from February 17 to March 11, with many voicing their frustration over the soaring crime and homelessness that has gripped the streets and subways.(Snip)Overall, 84 percent of respondents said conditions in the city have gotten worse over the past two years, with more than half agreeing

Isn't 84% of NYC voters the same amount that vote for brain-dead and extremely evil Demon-Rats (like AOC) in every election?!?!?!?
Sorry, but I don't even feel anything but utter scorn for the lot of them. They voted over and over again for exactly what they are getting. If they weren't such brain-dead and close-minded idiots, they would have listened to the conservatives that warned them what was coming!!!

Elections, AGAIN, STILL have consequences. And you cannot fix stupid. Got out of NYC many years ago and never looked back. Before that I rode the subways every weekday with ZERO problems for 4 YEARS. But I saw the writing on the walls. GIULIANI made NYC livable and made New Yorkers feel safe. SAFE NO MORE, NYC, YOU nave created your open toxic stew … now you can EAT IT.

wait a minute ... Captain America, Eric Adams, the vizier-like Crown Prince of NYC, was supposed to have had all of this stuff under control by now ... what's the problem? he sure is a hell of a sharp dresser, though, wonder if he designed his own uniform when he was a minor Poobah in the NYPD? - he's no better than Comrade DeBlasio only a much better dresser

New Yorkers need to go to Washington state or California just to decompress from the stress of living on the east coast. Earthquakes are a lot easier to deal with than Nor'easters and other damnyankee problems. After a few years of CA and WA taxes and restrictions, the New Yorkers will be more grateful to move to the flyover cities they so hate, despise and dismiss.

Eric Adams is over his head and should step down. Nothing is as bad as DeBlasio, but Adams runs a close second. Face it New Yorkers, your city is a sh#thole. Adams is more worried about eating vegetarian and enforcing the crazy mandates than fixing the real problems. Also, the DAs own a huge part of this as well as the crazy legislators.

Surely discussions are going on about moving Wall Street and Broadway.
The financial district spread things out a bit after 9/11 and moved some of their infrastructure to North Carolina. Not sure where all the plays and actors might flee. San Fran is not much better.
One good thing - the UN headquarters can just stay miserable, or better yet, move off campus.

Yeah, and then they move to my state they will continue to vote dim after they get here and the problem spreads. DW626's earlier post titled, "The Hostile Takeover of the Republican Party Will Continue" by J.B. Shurk of American Thinker, gets to the point - the uniparty must be beaten. If the NY'ers or anybody from a blue state wants to live here and they share this common objective, great, come on over. A unified America can defeat and eliminate the uniparty. Fat chance? Maybe. But this Republic has seen worse times in its short history. Just suppose we clean up our act here and get this Constitutional experiment back on track.

Sometime, I would like to read a poll about Noo Yawkers and their problems there and the last question would be: ''If you were totally sick of the crime, the liberalism of your politicians, taxes and fear of walking the streets or taking the subway and decided to move to Florida, Georgia or Texas, would you vote for Republicans or Democrats in your new State? I'm willing to bet they would dive right back into the same sewer.

This report is in line with the recent survey that almost 75% of demosluts would leave rather than fight if this country were invaded. They'll fight as long as there is no opposition which became evident in the summer of 2020. So rather than change their minds and vote differently, they run away to poison another state and turn it into another hell hole like the one they left.

What makes this funny is that these are the people who regard themselves as elites!! LOL. Think of the New Yorker Magazine recurrent cover of the ultra-sophisticated citizen of The City, holding a monocle and wearing a top hat. Now fill out the picture with this dandy walking through garbage filled streets, crowded with homeless criminals, addicts shooting up, muggers....
Yep, elites. We should emulate you! Uh huh. And watch every city turn to pooh, just like yours.

In their stupid arrogance the only voting booth lever they will see in their new locations will have a "D" on it, and they'll immediately start complaining about how things were done back in Noo Yawk and demanding more government services. I'd wall the place off and make them stay, present company excluded, of course.
