About That Russia Attacking a Shopping

Again, it must consistently be repeated – trust nothing from western or Russian state media about the issues in the Ukraine conflict. Everyone is shaping the war narrative to fit their agenda. Question everything you see and hear, wait to get the fulsome picture, and eventually the truth will surface. An example today follows a U.S. and Western media claim that Russia arbitrarily targeted a shopping center in the capital city of Kyiv (Kiev). According to the narrative, this is an example of Russian military brutality and arbitrary shelling of civilians. (snip)Russians fired missiles into the shopping center during the late-night early-morning hours when no one was

Comments:

The stores were closed. A look at the photos tells us why the Russians considered this to be a military target.

I am not a Putin supporter, but I don’t like being lied to by our media and others who should give us only the truth.

Sorry OP "only the truth". LOL. That's a good one. How many times do you have to lie before you are proved to be a liar?? Ran out of enough fingers and toes to count a long, long time ago.

That must have been one of a heck of a large warhead on that missile or missiles that hit the shopping center to cause all that damage. It’s more likely that there was a lot of high explosive ammunition being stored there that was set off by the missile attack in one or two massive explosions that caused most of the damage shown in the media reports. Remember there is a huge amount of psychological warfare propaganda being put out there about what is going on in Ukraine, by all sides, that the media then spreads all over the world. Therefore it is prudent to take the initial reports of what is occurring in Ukraine with a great big grain of salt until they are legitimately verified.

The US did worse in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Vietnam. With our history we don't have any right to tell them what's morally right and what's morally wrong. Besides we have 7 problems created by the Biden administration to solve. Let's straighten out those things.

Stop trying to take the moral high ground Warhawks, as if killing even in war is somehow good in the eyes to Jesus. You and your ilk have kept this nation in perpetual military conflict for decades. And to what end besides raising your stock portfolio? Some of us have had it. Some of us are skeptical of anything and everything we hear from DC because we have seen with our own eyes the results of this perpetual warmongering. And that skepticism is healthy and very American. One of the main reasons I voted for President Trump was his pledge of no new wars, and he kept that promise. And how many times do blind supporters of Ukraine (and our media, and Biden, and Soros.. 'cause they are all on the same team which SHOULD give you pause) have to twist themselves into knots trying to justify the obliteration of political and media dissent in Ukraine and the centralizing of authoritarian power, the exposure of more and more of the lies told by our own media and politicians, the 24/7 drum beat of war from Neocons and Democrats alike who have been enriched beyond anything decent by decades of constant US military adventurism all over the globe. We know you want US intervention for some twisted "moral" reason, like this Cold War fantasy America holds the patent on morality and "goodness", like we in our benevolence should be the ones to arbitrate and hand out freedom. What ever happened to fighting for your own freedom, you know like we did over 200 years ago?

The point of this story was the characterization by the media and others that this strike was simply a heartless strike on civilians. That there was no legitimate reason for it. There has been no mention that it was indeed a legitimate military target and was hit in the late night/early morning hours when the shopping center was closed.

Interesting but the US did the same thing. When I was in Baghdad in summer 2003 I took a great photo of the Central Market which had been flattened by several JDAMs that were so precisely guided they left the surrounding buildings unscathed. Oh, and they were dropped at night when the buildings were all deserted so there were no "civilian" casualties. And yes, the Iraqis were storing military suppplies in that Central Market.

Please excuse the second post but I have an even better photo from Baghdad 2003 which shows an eight-story communications center totally imploded by JDAMs that was right across the alley from a little 7-11-type convenience store which was totally unscathed and when I interviewed the owner, he told me he didn't miss even a day's business.

That is correct #8. Perhaps some military security personnel were blown up but that is all. Judging by the damage, there must have been a considerable amount of military hardware (aside from the trucks shown in the photos) stored in the mall that the russkie spies became aware of and were determined to eliminate. Besides, who shops at a mall at 2am.

Joe Biden’s recent Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, whom the president has admitted was nominated in part because she is a woman, stunned listeners on Tuesday when she refused to give a definition of what a woman is. “I can’t. … I’m not a biologist,” Jackson said after Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn asked her to provide a definition of the word “woman.” But for not knowing what a “woman” is, Jackson loves to use the word. Here are 14 times she invokes the fairer sex in just the first two days of her confirmation hearings, plus 34 times she’s used the word in her legal opinions as a judge

Now they have been caught admitting to such nefariousness. Apparently, they still are exuberant about their slick shamelessness and simply can’t keep quiet.
