The Fed Has One Job To Do, And Blew It

Along with President Joe Biden and Congress, the Federal Reserve has a responsibility to manage inflation, a job it was established to do. And just like Biden and Congress, the Fed has failed at its job. At the Fed’s own website, it states clearly what its primary job is, by law: “Conducting the nation’s monetary policy by influencing money and credit conditions in the economy in pursuit of full employment and stable prices.” Well, today, we have neither “full employment” nor “stable prices.” On Tuesday, the government reported that wholesale prices, that is prices just a step before retail, surged 10% in February.

among all of the politicized jobs in the federal government, Chairman of the Federal Reserve has got to the most politicized in the whole system and the best thing the repubs can do in and after 2022, if they get control of the House, is to abolish the Federal Reserve and go back onto the Gold Standard, immediately

IMHO.....This is entirely due to the several trillion spent on "covid". Pay check protections, enhanced unemployment, eviction and foreclosure prohibitions, grants etc....and political pressure by both parties to keep interest rates low. This wasn't the federal reserves doings. This is all a result of federal and state covid restrictions and spending.

I heard the fed report that if inflation exceeded 2% they would raise interest rates a hundred times over the years. Then a year ago it broke and they did nothing but spin. Here we r the horse is way out the barn and the fed has still not acted on runaway inflation that has seniors and middle income on down struggling. If trump had been president as rightly so and inflation poked over 2% they would have been on it like flys on stink. They did nothing to help the cabal.

The Fed is nothing more than a manipulator of money to encourage economic expansion for the politicians to crow about. The Fed builds a 3% rate of inflation into its "monetary policy" calculations regarding money supply...look it up. The idea is to continue to stimulate consumption to continue growth ad infinitum, to never suffer a recession or depression. And they can do this because there is nothing tangible backing the value of a US Dollar.

The old yet always relevant joke is that environmentalists are like watermelons, green on the outside but red(s) on the inside. Last week, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee held a “hearing to examine the use of energy as a tool and a weapon.” In the hands of Russia, the tool has been sharpened, the weapon made more lethal

As inflation has continued to climb, so have the number of President Joe Biden’s excuses for why he’s not to blame. First, it was a “transitory” effect of the economy rebounding from COVID lockdowns. Then it was the result of supply chain problems because ports didn’t operate 24/7. Then it was due to a lack of competition among beef suppliers. Then it was greed. Now he’s settled on Vladimir Putin. None of it is true. But the White House is so determined to take advantage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine it invited TikTok “influencers” to propagandize them. The mainstream press had already fallen in line,

The U.S. went through a historical convulsion in the 1960s, and not only survived but emerged restored and optimistic in the 1980s. This time, though, the destroyers are better organized and seem more determined than their predecessors. We hope there are still enough Americans who believe the country is worth defending. Don’t make the mistake that the political left wants a strong and prosperous U.S., and the only differences it has with the center and right are the methods for how that is achieved. The left, especially its progressive wing of radicals that is taking over the Democratic Party

As COVID deaths wane and the virus appears to be losing its virulence, restrictions imposed during the height of the pandemic are beginning to be lifted. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows that most Americans believe the restrictions are largely being eased for political reasons, not science. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows strong sentiment in favor of ending the limits imposed on Americans’ lives due to the COVID pandemic. Among those queried, 29% they felt that restrictions were being lifted “too slowly,” while 29% said they were being taken down “at the right time.” Less than a third, or 32%, said they thought restrictions were coming off “too fast.”

While running for president, Barack Obama said electricity prices will “necessarily skyrocket” under his energy plan. As gasoline reaches unaffordable heights for many Americans, never forget that the Democratic Party wants to inflict painful energy costs on the country. It’s in its political DNA. As of Thursday, the average U.S. price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.32, the highest ever recorded in this country. A month ago, it was $3.48. A year ago, about six weeks after Joe Biden took the oath of office, it was $2.82. Recent projections that the U.S. average would peak at $4.25 a gallon

President Joe Biden, sorely in need of an alibi as oil and gasoline prices soar and wreak havoc on the economy, now blames Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the spike in energy prices. In fact, surging oil and gas prices are the inevitable results of Biden’s own foolish green policies. “Putin’s war is already hurting American families at the gas pump … I’m going to do everything I can to minimize Putin’s price hike here at home,” Biden told Americans Tuesday, as he imposed a ban on Russian oil. Later, he doubled down on his claim.

The best thing about Joe Biden’s presidency is his penchant for short speeches. It is unclear if he has the stamina for the marathon orations of his predecessor, but certainly the American people do not. The dismal ratings for this year’s State of the Union Address bear that out as they did for Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress last year. Who can blame them? The American people have endured much lately. One might not know that from listening to Biden’s remarks on March 1st where he evaluated the state of the union as “strong.” But leading societal indicators suggest a different adjective – “Hobbesian.”

At the same time, the administration apparently wants more oil from Venezuela, which is languishing under a dictatorship that’s squarely aligned with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Iran, a member in good standing with the axis of evil. “Joe Biden is frantically searching the globe

Americans are deeply unsettled by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade neighboring Ukraine, a just-released I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The March public opinion survey shows Americans fear a widening of the conflict could lead to the involvement of U.S. troops and even the use of nuclear weapons by Putin’s Russia. President Joe Biden’s White House and its supporters in Congress are telling a story of America boldly stepping up to lead Europe in its response to the threat of an aggressive Russia. It’s been repeated by some in the mainstream media. But a solid majority of Americans are focused on something very different:

The Biden administration knows it has a looming “mass migration event” in the very near future when it ends the use of Title 42 at the southern border. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) quietly set up the Southwest Border Coordination Center (SBCC) to coordinate its response. Think of it as a war room to game out the coming flood of illegal migrants to the southern border. I say that SBCC was quietly created because before the reporting today by Axios, the war room wasn’t reported on in the media. The reason for the nervous preparation for a mass event is because with the pandemic essentially ending,
