North Korea tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile system in two launches Feb. 26 and March 4, a senior Biden administration official said Thursday, calling it a "serious escalation."
The system was originally unveiled during the Korean Workers Party parade Oct. 10, 2020, and again in the Defense Exhibition in Chung Young in October 2021, the official said Thursday. The 2022 launches did not demonstrate ICBM range or capability but were likely aimed at testing elements of the new system, the official said
The senior administration official predicted a future launch at "full range," which may be disguised as a space launch.

Financial markets are averse to threats of chaos and death. These conditions tend to interfere with formal promises between parties to service loans, which is the basis of finance.
Time, they say, is nature’s way of making sure that everything doesn’t happen at once. If that’s so, then maybe time has stopped because all of a sudden everything seems to be happening at once. Three things, actually: 1) a Russian military operation in Ukraine that a lot of people in America want to turn into World War Three; 2) an epic crack-up of the world financial system; and 3)

"I’ve read most of everything he’s written," President Biden said of Russian President Vladimir Putin last month. "He has much larger ambitions in Ukraine. He wants to, in fact, reestablish the former Soviet Union. That’s what this is about."
Many experts believe that Biden is right. In an often cited and perhaps highly revealing comment years ago, Putin said that he believed the fall of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century.
Putin currently has his hands full with a stronger-than-expected resistance to his war on Ukraine – including at home – though his massive military is expected to eventually prevail.

Former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard responded to reports that Russia shelled Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, causing concerns of a Chernobyl-like disaster on "Hannity" Thursday.
TULSI GABBARD: I went to Chernobyl after my second deployment to the Middle East. I was traveling to Eastern Europe, traveled around Ukraine and went to Chernobyl myself to see for myself the aftermath of what this kind of disaster looks like, and to hear them talking about this nuclear power plant in Ukraine being many times larger, and therefore the implications of this potential explosion being many times greater chills me to my very core.

Carjackings have skyrocketed 200% — or more — in multiple big cities across the county in past years, as law enforcement officials and crime experts pleaded with lawmakers on Tuesday for help addressing the rampant issue, with one official warning: "Anyone in a car is a potential victim." Law enforcement executives and officials from crime monitoring agencies from across the country convened on Capitol Hill on Tuesday morning to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a hearing to address the startling trends related to carjackings. During his time at the microphone,

I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.

Ukraine’s national security and defense council called for the declaration of a state of emergency on Wednesday and urged its citizens to leave Russia. The emergency affects the entire country except for the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.
A state of emergency would initially last 30 days and would escalate documentation and vehicle checks, among other measures. The state of emergency is expected to be approved by the Ukrainian Parliament within 48 hours before it takes effect.

There has been no series of events more indicative of government tyranny in the name of COVID than what we’ve seen with the protest by truckers in Canada over the past several weeks.
Truckdrivers who spend the vast majority of their workdays isolated in their vehicles were mandated to receive the controversial COVID vaccines, and they objected. Since then, the movement has increased in intensity and participants are no longer limited to merely truckdrivers. Arrests have been made, livelihoods have been lost, and bank accounts have been seized. And for what purpose? To force folks to receive a vaccination that doesn’t stop the spread of an endemic virus.

A Las Vegas woman was sentenced to eight to 20 years in prison Friday in the death of a 74-year-old man she shoved out the door of a bus in 2019.
Last month, Cadesha Bishop, 28, pleaded guilty to abuse of an older vulnerable person resulting in substantial bodily harm or death. She had originally been charged with murder, FOX 5 of Las Vegas reported.
"I’m sorry for my behavior," Bishop told the judge Friday while complaining about her portrayal in the media. "I’m sorry for the way that I was portrayed in my lowest and weakest moment of my life," she said.

San Francisco Unified School District Board of Education President Gabriela López, who lost a recall election this week, said Thursday those who supported her recall are "aligned" with White supremacists.
López and two fellow board members — Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins — were all voted out Tuesday in a landslide, with more than 72% of voters opting to recall each of them. "So if you fight for racial justice, this is the consequence," López tweeted along with a photo of a Washington Post headline that said she and the two other recalled board members were "seen as too focused on racial justice."

San Francisco residents overwhelmingly approved of a vote Tuesday to recall three of the city’s school board members, election officials said.
Critics, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, argued the members — school board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins — pushed progressive politics rather than act in the best interest of children during the pandemic, and voters agreed, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections.
"The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else," Breed said in a statement after the vote.

Blame Congress for letting the federal health agencies harm the lives of millions of Americans in this pandemic. Sure, people despair about the incredible amount of influence over Congress by corporate, narrow, and biased interests. But the bigger problem has been the uncontrolled power of Fauci and federal health agencies.
Congress had lost its power to offer needed alternatives to actions by Executive agencies, namely CDC, NIH and FDA. There is an important opportunity: refund the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, closed since 1995. It may be the only way to curb the powers of federal health agencies

Another day, another crisis for Brandon. If anyone can name something that Biden is handling correctly, I'd love to hear about it.
