Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned that Americans should expect to continue paying increased prices on everyday goods for the next year, offering a reversal from her previous forecast that record-high inflation would soon subside. The main culprit, she told CNBC’s “Closing Bell” on Thursday, was Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Ms. Yellen‘s claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin is to blame for America’s inflation woes echoes that of the Biden administration writ large, which has received criticism for dubbing the phrase “Putin’s price hike.” “I think there’s a lot of uncertainty that is related to what’s going on with Russia in Ukraine,” Ms. Yellen said on the network.

She blames it on " “Putin’s price hike.” Typical. Wretched Marxist commies like Yelen never take responsibility and always point the finger of blame elsewhere. They are doing this on purpose because they hate America.

The out of control inflation was well underway before the word Ukraine was first mentioned by anyone. Classic wag the dog. Now the departments and media are shifting blame to Russia at warp speed.

When did we as Americans suddenly find it a positive outcome, to be praised when our representatives and civil servants don't accept blame for their own stupidity? It happened on your watch ma'am. Own it.

A critical part of the plan to destroy the American middle class is to inflate the money so that savings are reduced, retirement becomes more difficult and to force people to be more dependent on government handouts.
Inflation is a real multipurpose tool for "equalizing" the inequality in the world. Make us all third worlders.

We don't care who you blame it on. It's the useless quarterback that's in charge who will get the blame... Ask Jimmy Carter.

Two years of financial destruction at the hands of a manufactures and intentionally released bio weapon and a vaccine designed for mass human extermination, followed by the Green New Deal designed to financially destroy this country and everything in it. The Great Reset in underway and the ultimate destruction of the dollar and economy is within reach on plan and on target. Voters will need mass but Dominion is still plugged in system upgrades installed and ready to rig the November election in democrats favor. Democrats are doing to this country what Putin is doing to Ukraine.

And Sleepy Dementia Joe has Ukraine to his credit too.
Biden's foreign policy weaknesses invited this invasion. It does not matter, Putin's inflation or not, Biden owns it no matter what. He is an idiot. A fool. A buffoon. A Bozo.

Now that public attention has been shifted from the fading Covid Con---always holding the Climate Change boogie man in reserve!---to the Ukraine shiny object, she feels comfortable being slightly less mendacious than formerly.

This voodoo economics high priestess will probably next suggest tossing virgins into volcanoes. That would be at least as effective as any of the other things that she thinks would work.

Good grief. Just another Dem political stooge. They won't be able to blow this off. Everything you buy is skyrocketing in price, while the stock market is dropping faster than Kamala's panties. As Peter Doocy said, they are blaming everything on Putin. If that doesn't stick, they will blame it on climate change. That scam is also losing steam with record lows being set this year and a bunch more will fall when this new storm hits. The media can only do so much to save Biden but reality is breaking out everywhere. We are staring at a real depression coming, and the Dems own it all.

Gosh, Janet, you mean your low interest rates while you were the Fed Head are now a problem? You kept the rates low because our spendthrift government couldn’t afford higher interest rates and you complied. Thanks for nothing.

We know who to blame; it’s Biden’s failed domestic policies! He shut down oil production at home and crawled on knees to the saudis who dissed him.

A sane nation would have this woman institutionalized because clearly she is insane, or in prison for stealing the nation's wealth. But not in New America, where we praise the wise leadership of brilliant economists like Yellen and AOC.
