Creating A George Floyd Scholarship Sends

The constant push to virtue signal to the idol of social justice is causing some of our historically trusted institutions of academia, health care, and journalism to lose the public’s trust and is further splintering our nation. Minnesota seems to be in the epicenter of it all. The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota recently endowed a new scholarship to honor George Perry Floyd Jr. It’s the wrong decision and undermines the work of the civil rights movement and what we communicate to black American children across the country.

Geroge Floyd had an athletic scholarship to a south Florida community college, but failed to complete the two-year course of study because of drug use. Memorializing a drug-addled street thug is ridiculous. If he had been doing what he was supposed to be doing [spending time with his 6-year old daughter, reading, going to the park, helping her with her homework, etc.] instead of doing drugs with two low-lifes in another state, he would still be alive. The whole incident should have been a routine bust with him being booked and jailed for drug possession and usage. The cops messed-up bad, but he put himself in that position. Notice that his accomplice, Morris Lester Hall, gave a false name and was released from the scene of the incident. He was later found to have outstanding warrants for illegal firearms possession by a felon, drug possession, and felony domestic assault. He refused to testify for the defense, pleading 5th amendment protection.

In my personal opinion, George was a great man. He dabbled with investing in alternative currencies which unfortunately didn't work out for him. His main love was his profession of testing pharmaceuticals and making sure they were safe for the public. He died doing what he loved, testing pharmaceuticals to determine safe amounts of various products to consume.

The last of three men convicted of hijacking a school bus full of California children for an attempted $5 million ransom in 1976 — in what a prosecutor called “the largest mass kidnapping in U.S. history” — is being released by the state’s parole board. Gov. Gavin Newsom asked the board to reconsider its decision to parole Frederick Woods, 70, on Tuesday. Two board members recommended his release in March when previous panels had denied him parole 17 times.

No. Our reservoirs were designed to provide a steady five year supply for all users, and were filled to the top in June 2019.”

With several septuagenarians competing for the presidency, the ghost of the 1990s looms over the 2020 race. Joe Biden has faced criticism for his sponsorship of the 1994 crime bill. President Donald Trump tweeted, "Anyone associated with the 1994 Crime Bill will not have a chance of being elected." Here's some context. Violent crime rates in the United States began a steep climb in the mid-1960s and reached their peak in the early 1990s. Americans were extremely worried. Donald Trump, for example, recommended bringing back New York's death penalty in response to a much-publicized Central Park attack.

If a politician from Florida decides to run for president in 2024, his (or her) home state will be short two votes in the Electoral College, and when the new session of the U.S. House of Representatives convenes in January 2023, Florida will be missing two congressional seats to which it is entitled. Why? Because according to a post-2020 census survey, the U.S. Census Bureau significantly undercounted the population of Florida, as well as Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. At the same time, it overcounted the population of eight states, all but one of which is a blue state. The 2020 errors were discovered when

During a portion of an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of “The Issue Is,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm praised California’s proposal to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 and said the plan “could be” a national model, but acknowledged that the price of electric vehicles has to come down and the power grid has to be expanded. Host Elex Michaelson asked, “California made national headlines by becoming the first state to say, by 2035, we’re not going to have any gas-powered vehicles that are new that are being sold. You can still drive your old ones, but you can’t sell new ones. Do you like this concept?”

Just days earlier, Joe Biden had been denouncing Republicans as "semi-fascists." In the wake of the Philly speech, voters learned that apparently, it was the "semi" part that upset him. In President Joe Biden’s 2007 memoir, Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics, he wrote that the late Sen. Mike Mansfield (D-Mont.) gave him the best advice he ever received: “Joe, never attack another man’s motive, because you don’t know his motive.” Judging from Biden’s increasingly belligerent speeches, he has forgotten Mansfield’s eminently wise counsel. This was rendered abundantly clear during his Thursday speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Standing before a backdrop that looked as if it had been designed by Leni Riefenstahl, he attacked the motives of half the electorate.

In an August press release, Bank Australia made the stunning announcement that it would cease lending to prospective new car owners in 2025 if the vehicle of their choosing relied on tried-and-true combustion. Instead, new car owners would only be able to procure a new car loan if there are expensive lithium batteries propelling the wheels.
