Private School Diversity Director: ‘BIPOC
Students’ Must be Protected from ‘White Gaze’

Original Article

The Director of Diversity and Inclusion for a private school in Baltimore expressed support for racial segregation in order to protect students from the “white gaze” and promoted turning children into woke activists. Kalea Selmon, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Maryvale Preparatory School, gave a presentation where she argued that nonwhite students must be given spaces away from white students and described how those who work in education can use students as activists.(Snip)In a video of part of her presentation, Selmon claims that “BIPOC spaces are sacred.”(Snip)She goes on to explain that 70 is “the number of BIPOC students” while 460 was the total number

Comments:

A White-led Catholic girls school hired an angry racist bLACK woman who says so-called minorities should be isolated from Bad White People. As evidence, she notes that the student body of the private school is 15% black, which mirrors the national average. The town where the school is located is 3.4% black, and adjacent Baltimore is overwhelmingly black; no problem there. Point out that White kids should also have "sacred spaces" where they would not be jumped by gangs of blacks, and where they were free to learn to their ability without classroom drama and a dumbed-down curriculum, and you're a racist.

I'll go even further than the "White Gaze" protection suggested by the Baltimore Diversity Director. I don't think minorities should interact with whites at all. I am talking about separate (but equal of course) lunch times, recess, and even water fountains. Let's go al the way back to the good old days of the fifties. And how about a rule of no weapons allowed during minority recess?

" Selmon then goes on to say “It’s necessary for BIPOC students to have space away from white gaze and that it is absolutely okay to give black and brown students things you’re not giving white children because the white children are fine. ” Unless you're giving them an end to fatherlessness, gang culture and the perception that education is "acting white" you're not really giving them anything of value anyway.

“It’s necessary for BIPOC students to have space away from white gaze and that it is absolutely okay to give black and brown students things you’re not giving white children because the white children are fine.” This is not inclusion. It's a system of racial stereotyping serving to EXCLUDE white children. The director approves of giving "black and brown students things you're not giving white children because the white children are fine." I disagree. A well-trained education professional knows better than to make assumptions about students based on skin color. In a diverse population, some students will need help to catch up, some will need help to keep up, and others will need enrichment. Not sure where avoiding "white gaze" falls in meeting academic needs, but with the diverse population we have in this country, I would think an inability to tolerate an environment that includes sighted white people would put such sensitive students at a disadvantage.

Questions continue to mount over the White House's federal student loan forgiveness plan as multiple analyses suggest the government has underestimated the policy's hefty price tag. The most broadly impactful measure is the cancellation of up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers making under $125,000 or $250,000 married.(Snip) But even without the cost estimates of the other policy points, several private analyses already suggest the White House's projection is modest at best. It's worth noting that forecasters still have it as a "Toss-Up," or for Democrats only slightly favored to keep control of the chamber, as many races are tight in key seats. One of them, surprisingly enough, is in Washington state, where Sen. Patty Murray, the Democratic incumbent, is just a few percentage points ahead of her Republican challenger, Tiffany Smiley. This is according to a recent poll from the Trafalgar Group.

At a national level there is a unique policy priority that almost every politician, on both sides, will avoid discussing. At a national level a single policy priority determines all other national policy issues. That policy is the national economic policy. The national economic policy of a presidential candidate determines all other national policies that flow from the presidential candidate. The national economic policy impacts the obvious policies like energy and trade, and also determines the lesser obvious policies like regulation and even foreign policy. It is specifically because a candidate’s national economic outlook impacts all other issues, that most national politicians never talk about it.
