NPR was ridiculed on Wednesday for its take on emojis and how some can supposedly denote white privilege.
The article, headlined "Which skin color emoji should you use? The answer can be more complex than you think," claimed that white people using the common yellow-handed, thumbs-up emoji can actually suggest ignorance of white privilege. Its authors were Alejandra Marquez Jans, Asma Khalid and Patrick Jarenwattananon. "I completely hear some people are just exhausted [from] having to do that. Many people of color have to do that every day and are confronted with race every day,"

NPR also argued that Darth Vader (black suit, James Earl Jones and dark side of force) was racist.
I play a game in my car.
I randomly turn on NPR and see how long it takes them to be maiming about racism. It’s usually about 10 seconds. Any time of day. Any show.

Asking yourself "Which skin color emoji should you use?"and agreeing that "The answer can be more complex than you think," is a sign of mental disturbance. What a surprise that it comes from perennial disappointment NPR.

If you look up “First World Problems” in an encyclopedia, this article is the example. These children have their heads so far up their rectums I’m amazed they could see the emojis.

I know this one. The best emoji for this article is the one that looks like a melted Hershey's kiss with eyes. What I thought that one was made my grandson laugh and laugh.

This is what we taxpayers get - free funding using tax dollars to pay for that communist loving NPR. Congress should defund the money.

Have these loons ever considered that all those white privilege individuals they love to disparage love nothing more than getting a little color on their skin? We whites love a tan. Have you seen the skin cancer rates for sun worshippers? We’re not trying to get whiter! All the focus on race is a distraction from dealing with the fact that there are serious problems with values in this country and that deficit runs through the entire color palette. We can and will get along when we show respect to everyone. Looking at someone and deciding they are this or that based on their skin color is just ignorant and most Americans reject that kind of thinking out of hand. We do and will make decisions about others based on their value systems. Like attracts like. People with a strong moral compass and values tend to get along. Others who are lawless and morally bankrupt are drawn together. Our problem in this country today is not white racists, it is valueless and morally corrupt individuals regardless of their race.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” ~ John Adams

Amen #11. What is wrong in today's world is that instead of Smith, Jones, etc. we have to contend with names such as Alejandra Marquez Jans, Asma Khalid and Patrick Jarenwattananon. I'm so glad most of my life was lived in the Smith, Jones, etc. era.

Use of mockery just oozes "white privilege". No, wait ... Use of LANGUAGE, itself, is white privilege. Just take your hands off those keyboards and back away slowly, all you racists. :eye-roll:

There is an emoji that looks like a steaming pile of 'you know what'...I'd suggest using that when emailing NPR

The writers of that NPR spewing forget that if you follow the logic of blacks of the past 50 years, whites aren't allowed to comment on their lives because we don't get what it is to be black. Okay. So why is it okay for these minorities to spew the most outrageous racist statements like these NPR writers did? You don't want us commenting about your lifestyle? Then stop with the smears and other ridiculous racist remarks.
When stuff like this gets published by NPR and other entities, the rest of us need to laugh in their faces at the stupidity they are showing. Want to be treated with respect by everyone else NPR? Earn it by treating everyone else with that respect you are craving. It is pretty sad that more people in the white community know about the teachings of MLK than his own community does.

Only because that is THEIR focus. Others will see what you want them to see.

I'm really tired of being lectured to about white privilege and dangerous medical treatments that I should be accepting by brown skinned people. These stupid scolds are either jealous or racist. That includes you too, Mister Surgeon General.
