Someone really should do something about all the racism on college campuses. (snip) Take the recent Southern Illinois University Edwardsville incident, in which a black female student discovered sticky notes scrawled with racist messages on her dormitory door. A racist sent the student racist text messages and someone even sent racially insensitive death threats. Horrible. (snip) The perpetrator, it turns out, is also the victim. Authorities charged Kaliyeha Clark-Mabins on Friday with three counts of disorderly conduct for reporting a hate crime.

Earlier this week, U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger released a statement in response to a complaint from Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas), who says the USCP illegally entered his office, took photos, and later interrogated his staff. According to Manger, “The weekend before Thanksgiving, one of our vigilant officers spotted the Congressman’s door was wide open.” As such, Manger said it is the responsibility of the USCP to document the incident and secure the office.
There’s just one problem with this explanation: (snip) This is the exact door @CapitolPolice claims their officer found “wide open” on that Saturday.

Despite Governor Glenn Youngkin issuing a mandate to schools around the state to not enforce mask mandates on children, the Frederick County (Virginia) Public School decided to continue illegally upholding the mandate. Now they’re paying for their hubris as parents are taking the fight to the school board.
Footage from a recent school board meeting showed that parents meant business. As the meeting was set to wrap up, a man approached the dais where the school board sat and began handing out subpoenas. With the understanding of what was happening dawning on them, the school board members attempted to gather their things and leave but the parents weren’t having it.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has conceded that January 6th was a 'violent insurrection,' saying he agreed with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's description of that day.
