Biden’s ‘Anger’ Over High Insulin

On Friday, Joe Biden started yelling in anger during a speech in Pennsylvania while talking about the high price of insulin. “Imagine being the parent making the minimum wage or twice the minimum wage and having a child with type one diabetes, knowing that if you can’t and have no insurance, knowing if you cannot get that money for the insulin, the child may die,” Biden said. (Snip) Make no mistake about it: Joe Biden isn’t angry about the high cost of insulin. Why not? Because he is responsible for it. On his first day in office, Biden froze a Trump drug policy that had been finalized in December 2020,

Comments:

Remember? Trump wanted to lower the prices of essential, lifesaving drugs, including insulin and epinephrin, drugs whose prices the pharma companies had jacked up to ridiculous levels. I'm normally against government setting prices, but these price hikes were the actions of monopolies and had no justification. I remember going to buy a new epi-pen and seeing that the price had risen (after insurance) from $75 to $500.

Reality is, if you are a parent making minimum wage with a kid with diabetes needling insulin, you probably get Medicaid for free and pay nothing for insulin and diabetic supplies.

I really hate Big Pharma. I take Lumigan. The original formula was .03 and that is what it remains for the generic at about 38 for a bottle. The company changed the formula to .01 and it cost me 300 a bottle. I am seriously thinking of trying the generic if my dr will go along with it.

Senator Manchin’s daughter was primarily responsible for the big price hike in epipens. She was CEO of a drug company that had monopoly control of the product. BTW, Manchin’s daughter obtained the CEO job with a fraudulent resume. She claimed to have an Executive MBA from West Virginia University who issued her an MBA diploma even though she completed less than 1/3 of the program in a scandal that took down the university President, a Provost and officials in the business school.

Biden wanted to be President all of his sorry life. The irony of it all is that he made it and has become the worst President of all time. He's a crooked demented old man now and those "81 million" who voted for him will vote against him this next go round. It's called buyers remorse.

MEDICARE! Is why all medical costs are so high. I remember when there was no medicare. Go to your doctor with whatever ailment you had and he would fix you in most cases right there in his office, most times give you whatever meds you needed right then, and charge 8 dollars. THEN came medicare. Suddenly EVERYONE had to have medical insurance. Employers had to include it in the list of perks to work there. NOWDAYS, with the gubmint paying the bills, EVERY doctor, EVERY pharmacist, EVERY therapist, has raised prices cause they CAN, gubmint pays it. OR health insurance. Except some folks have neither. Too young for medicare or dont have a job.

Of course it is fake. Big pharma is probably paying him too. He has turned on his country and for what? A few bucks? He and nancy and the dems, and many repubs, are the same. They think they will be the elite in the one world order and yet they will be cast aside by others. As my father used to say, How dumb can you be?

Big Pharma likes to claim that the cost of medicine isso high because the research into new medications is expensive. Yet here they are charging outrageous prices for a drug that has been around for years and years. It's like the dog that lick it's privates. Why do they do it? Because they can.

CHIP program covers as well, and didn’t they say Obamacare would solve this by making it illegal to not have insurance? Worried about citizen’s dignity? Submit, wear a face diaper, allow experimental drugs to be injected into your children, present your authorization car for permission…. But enjoy your dignity. Hunter’s dad worried about dignity… that’s rich.

It’s not just insulin either. I have 4, type I diabetic kids with 3 still on our crappy insurance(thanks Obama). After Obamacare, GM Financial decided to screw all their employees and force us on an HRA through Cigna. We have a $3500 individual deductible and a $8000 out of pocket deductible. To make it worse, they decided to pay ZERO on diabetic supplies and make it subject to the deductible. We are now paying $1000 per kid for a 3 month supply of their Dexcom G6 glucose sensors, $450 per kid for insulin pump supplies and $300 for insulin. They’re also restricting the type of insulin my kids can use as well. They were on Novolog then forced onto the generic Novolog and now they only cover Humalog. Our per endo allows us to cash pay for insulin and I can get 12 vials for $80 and we also periodically go to Mexico where it’s over the counter and costs $10. I was told it costs pennies for big pharma to produce a vial of insulin. Am I angry? Yes, very much so as the whole liberal narrative of “nobody should have to choose between medicine and food” has become our reality now.

Brandon is also angry that America's greedy businesses are still making profits after he has done his best to kill them. Joe is about to learn a big lesson from history, Communism/Marxism/Socialism was able to gain a foothold in the past because populations were uneducated and they allowed themselves to be disarmed. He will not find those conditions in America. Half of our country is stupid and unarmed but it's the other half that he needs to worry about.

So we’re finally seeing a genuine, bottom-up, working-class revolution. In Canada, and increasingly in the United States, truckers and others are refusing to follow government orders, telling the powerful that, in a popular lefty formulation, if there’s no justice, there’s no peace. Naturally, the left hates it. For more than a century, lefties have talked about such a revolt. But if you really paid attention, the actual role of the working class in their working-class revolution was not to call the shots — it was to do what it was told by the “intellectual vanguard” of the left.

My husband and I looked to a Catholic school to be an ally in our fight to break our daughter free from the grip of gender confusion. We were naive. Our daughter, now 15, was 13 when she was coached into believing that she was born in the wrong body and could change to be the opposite sex. This led her to self-loathing. But instead of finding a partner within the Roman Catholic Church, we discovered that our local Catholic high school had adopted procedures that promote transgenderism. This situation has left us with no safe place to educate our child and a profound feeling of disappointment and abandonment.

After the Jan. 6 insurrection, the Capitol Police’s intelligence unit quietly started scrutinizing the backgrounds of people who meet with lawmakers, according to three people familiar with the matter. POLITICO also viewed written communications describing the new approach, part of a host of changes that the department implemented after the Capitol attack. Examining the social media feeds of people who aren’t suspected of crimes, however, is a controversial move for law enforcement and intelligence officials given the civil liberties concerns it raises. Among those who have been subject to new Capitol Police scrutiny are Hill staffers, the three people said. All spoke on condition of anonymity

One way to understand the story of the last 75 years of American social life is by looking at the ebb and flow of serious crime. There was a golden age of low crime after World War II and before the “Age of Aquarius.” Lulled into optimism by the 1950s—during which critics belabored the oppressions of “conformity”—a more nuanced view of criminal responsibility, a turn towards the promise of rehabilitation, and a general skepticism of punishment took place. “Radical chic” became popular. The death penalty went away, and the prison population plummeted, along with that of the psychiatric wards. Then, all hell broke loose.
